In the previous chapter: Thomas, a level 100-plus player, was summoned by a powerful steward to meet with his master. After resisting and demonstrating his strength, he accepted the request and was taken to a castle where other players were posing as Norse gods.
There, the leader King revealed that a new player of level 100 or more had appeared on an unknown continent, leading them to prepare for a possible confrontation.
Meanwhile, in Nazarick, Ainz, Six, and Narkhan planned to travel to E-Rantel as adventurers, leaving Nazarick under the supervision of Albedo and Demiurge. Before leaving, Narkhan gave Shalltear a special coin capable of summoning him in case of emergency.
With preparations in place, Nazarick was organized to operate without the Supremes, while the Guardians awaited the arrival of a new ally from the mysterious Eleventh Floor.
At the moment.
After a few minutes, the doors to the hall opened, revealing the entrance of Ainz, accompanied by Six and Narkhan. The atmosphere in the room turned solemn as the three strode forward toward their respective thrones. The doors closed behind them with a heavy, resounding sound.
The Guardians and the Pleiades stepped aside, bowing deeply as the Supreme Ones passed by. Once they reached their thrones, each took a seat. The Guardians then knelt before them, as did the Pleiades.
Ainz spoke with his imposing voice.
—You may raise your heads, Guardians.
Everyone obeyed instantly, raising their gazes in respect and expectation. Albedo spoke in her formal and reverent tone.
—Supremes, the Guardians are here before you, along with the Pleiades, as you ordered.
Ainz nodded and continued.
—I've gathered you today to inform you of something important: the beginning of our next move within our plan.
The subjects nodded seriously, showing their complete willingness to listen.
"As you know, Nazarick is located in this new world," Ainz continued. "However, we still lack sufficient information about our surroundings. Therefore, together with the other two Supremes, we have decided to leave Nazarick."
There was a moment of surprise among the Guardians, except for Demiurge, who was already aware of the plan.
Albedo, with a worried expression, stepped forward.
—Ainz-sama, if you leave Nazarick and someone tries to harm you, how can we protect you?
Ainz let out a sigh and replied calmly.
—I knew you 'd say that. That's why we've decided to bring someone with us on this trip. This way, we won't be alone.
Albedo tilted her head slightly before cautiously asking:
—Supreme, who have you chosen to accompany you?
Six, with a slight smile, responded kindly.
—We have decided that one of the Pleiades will accompany us on this journey.
The Pleiades, in an act of respect, bowed without questioning the decision.
—The person accompanying us will be… Narberal Gamma —Six announced.
Narberal immediately knelt down and bowed her head in devotion.
—Thank you for choosing me, Supreme Beings.
Six looked at her approvingly and added:
—You will be the one accompanying us on this trip and in charge of sending periodic reports to Nazarick.
Narkhan, who had his face resting on his fist with a relaxed expression, spoke with amusement.
—Also, you'll be responsible for handling troublesome matters when necessary. Do you understand?
Narberal raised her head with determination.
—I understand, Supreme Beings. I'll do my best.
Albedo glanced at her before turning to the Supremes with a serious expression.
—Supreme Beings, I consider it wisest if one of the Guardians also accompanied you on this journey. This would enhance your security.
Narkhan smiled under his mask and answered in a confident tone.
—Don't worry, Albedo. With me around, what could possibly happen? We just need someone to take care of certain needs in the outside world.
Albedo pressed her lips together slightly before nodding.
—I understand, Narkhan-sama. However, strengthening your security will always be a priority for us, as we were created to protect you.
Six spoke kindly, but firmly.
"I know what you're thinking, Albedo. However, even if you wanted to accompany us, you can't. Someone must take charge of Nazarick in our absence, and that person is you."
Albedo lowered her head in acceptance.
—I understand, Supremes. It will be an honor to manage Nazarick in your absence.
The Guardians and the Pleiades remained silent, waiting for their masters' next orders while the decision was already made.
Ainz spoke with his deep and imposing voice.
"When we leave, we'll leave Demiurge in charge of Nazarick's strategy. In addition, each of the Supremes will appoint a representative to facilitate administration in our absence. That will be all from me."
Six intervened in his calm and friendly tone.
—You may stand up.
The Guardians and the Pleiades obeyed instantly, standing up with discipline. Six observed them calmly before continuing.
—As Ainz mentioned, we will place representatives from each of us. We hope they will work well together and there will be no problems.
All the subjects responded in unison with a strong and firm voice.
—Don't worry, Supremes! We'll do our best!
Six smiled slightly, showing his satisfaction with his subordinates' response.
—Good. As for my manager… I think you all know her.
The Guardians looked at each other curiously.
—Aiko, you can come in.
The large doors of the hall opened slowly, revealing the silhouette of Aiko, who entered with calm and elegant steps. Her presence emanated an imperturbable calm, but also the strength of a warrior. Her long purple hair was tied in a high ponytail, and over her refined kimono, she wore armor that perfectly suited her martial bearing.
With the same composure, he knelt beside the Guardians and bowed his head in respect.
—Six-sama, it will be an honor to look after Nazarick in your absence.
There was a brief silence before the Guardians reacted.
Aura, with her usual energy, was the first to speak, crossing her arms with a smile.
—So it's Aiko-chan! This is going to be interesting!
Cocyutos, his voice deep and his breath icy, escaping from his jaw, nodded approvingly.
— Hmmm … a warrior like her… worthy of respect.
Demiurge adjusted his glasses with a calculating smile.
—Not bad. It'll be a pleasure working with you, Aiko.
Albedo stared at her before speaking in her sweet but firm tone.
—I hope we get along, Aiko.
Aiko held her gaze and responded with a gentle smile. After a moment, Albedo returned the gesture.
Mare, as expected, hesitated a little before speaking in her low, nervous voice.
—A-Aiko-chan is very kind… it will surely be good to work with her.
Six, noticing that everyone seemed to accept Aiko's presence without problems, nodded with satisfaction.
—I'm glad to see you're getting along. For my part, that's all I have to report.
Narkhan smiled with amusement under his mask before speaking.
—Now it's my turn. What I have to say will be quite interesting for you.
The Guardians and the Pleiades paid even closer attention, intrigued by what was to come.
—First, as you know, the floor I control is floor eleven. From this moment on, I open its doors.
A tense silence fell over the room before all the Guardians and Pleiades showed clear expressions of surprise.
"But don't be confused," Narkhan continued, his tone relaxed. "When I say 'open the gates,' I mean that my subordinates will be able to leave the eleventh floor. The area itself will remain restricted, as it always has been. I simply want my subordinates to live more comfortably with the other inhabitants of Nazarick."
Albedo, with his usual diligent attitude, stepped forward and spoke respectfully.
—Narkhan-sama, if you allow me, could you tell me how many there are? That way, we can prepare for your arrival.
Narkhan gave a slight laugh and looked at her with amusement.
—Don't worry so much, Albedo. I'll only let the most important ones out, which would be seven. So you don't need to get too upset.
Demiurge, with his usual elegance, adjusted his glasses with an intrigued smile.
—Narkhan-sama, if I may ask… We are a little curious as to why that floor is forbidden to any being from Nazarick.
Narkhan adopted a thoughtful expression, resting his chin on his hand as he pondered how to explain.
—Let's see... How do I put it in a way you'll understand? Hmmm ... If I put it simply, the only ones who could pass through the eleventh floor would be the Guardians. And even then... they'd have a hard time advancing.
The Guardians exchanged glances with each other, not fully understanding his words.
Narkhan smirked before saying in his carefree tone:
—Because they are weak.
The air in the room seemed to freeze for a moment. The Guardians frowned, some in surprise, but none dared to openly object.
Ainz, noticing the confusion in his subordinates, decided to intervene with his calm tone.
—Narkhan doesn't know how to explain himself well... You see, the eleventh floor was built differently than the other floors of Nazarick. If you were to enter there, you would most likely get lost... and eventually die fighting one of his creatures. While you could defeat them, the problem is that the time and energy it would take would wear down even the strongest of you.
Ainz paused and placed his hand on his chin, pondering.
—But… I think the only one who could move around freely on that floor would be Shalltear.
Narkhan, hearing his words, tilted his head slightly and smiled.
— Hmm … Now that you mention it… Yeah, maybe Shalltear could hold out on the eleventh floor.
The vampire, upon hearing her name, smiled proudly, while the other Guardians remained silent, processing the information.
But Narkhan didn't give the topic any more importance and diverted the conversation with his carefree tone.
—Well, leaving aside the eleventh floor issue… It's time to introduce my manager.
Narkhan smiled in amusement before speaking.
—The person I'll introduce to you will be the one who will represent me in Nazarick during my absence. So… you may come in, Zhou Fan.
The doors of the great hall slowly opened, admitting an imposing figure.
He was a young-looking man, but his sharp, deep gaze conveyed a wisdom and arrogance worthy of someone who had seen countless eras pass by. His jet-black hair fell elegantly down his back, tied in a ponytail with an iron crown adorning his head. Loose strands framed his face, giving him an imposing and mysterious air.
However, what stood out most were his pure white dragon horns, which curved slightly backward. A red line stood out on his forehead like an ancestral mark. He wore traditional cultivator attire, a silver-gray robe with white edges decorated with dragon patterns. Over it, he wore a short white cloak with gold details on the shoulders, held by a dragon-shaped brooch. A black belt with red embroidery secured his garment, from which hung a dark jade pendant.
His wide sleeves and black trousers, cinched at the ankles, gave him freedom of movement, while his black leather boots completed his imposing demeanor. His attire radiated power and refinement, reflecting his status and dominance in combat. His bearing was serene, yet the energy emanating from him made his presence felt.
Zhou Fan calmly walked to the center of the hall and elegantly knelt before the Supremes.
—It is an honor to serve Nazarick in the name of Narkhan-sama.
The guardians and the Pleiades exchanged glances as they studied Zhou Fan. His imposing presence and elegant tone conveyed a sense of authority and mystery.
"So you're the guardian of the eleventh floor..." Aura looked at him curiously before pointing at her brother. "This is the first time we've seen you. By the way, I'm Aura, one of the guardians of the sixth floor, and this is Mare, my twin brother."
Mare, somewhat nervous, bowed his head slightly.
"I-It's a pleasure to meet you, Zhou Fan…" he said shyly.
Zhou Fan nodded with a faint smile before turning his gaze to the others.
—The pleasure is mine. It's good to be able to talk to the other guards after so long.
Cocyutos, with his deep and calm voice, took the floor.
—Zhou Fan… you must be strong… if you are a floor guardian… I hope to see your power… someday…
"Cocyutos, guardian of the fifth floor, right?" Zhou Fan looked at him with interest. "I've heard of your swordsmanship. Perhaps we can trade blows someday."
Cocyutos nodded determinedly.
Demiurge adjusted his glasses and smiled politely.
—Demiurge, guardian of the seventh floor. It's an honor to meet someone so… interesting. I hope we work well together.
Zhou Fan noticed Demiurge's analytical gaze and simply nodded.
—I'm sure it will be.
Finally, Albedo, who had been watching silently with her arms crossed, decided to speak.
—Albedo, supervisor of the floor guardians and in charge of Nazarick. I'll make sure you integrate properly.
"I appreciate your consideration, Albedo," Zhou Fan replied with a slight bow.
With the introductions made, the atmosphere lessened, but curiosity still lingered in the air. The guardians continued to wonder what kind of power the enigmatic guardian of the eleventh floor was hiding.
At that moment, Six spoke through a message while watching the interaction between the guardians and Zhou Fan.
—Did you really bring it?
Narkhan responded with amusement.
—Can't you see it? It's right in front of your eyes, hahaha .
Six looked at him sideways, still in disbelief, as Ainz intervened.
—It's hard to believe… but your class, did you get it at that event with the Chinese? Was that right?
Narkhan nodded with a smile.
—Yes, in that event I devoured an NPC and obtained the class. But unfortunately, I couldn't use it. I was jealous of not being able to tap into its potential, so I decided to give it to my own NPC. Apparently, he did manage to master it.
Ainz, after a brief silence, replied.
—So your race is Eastern dragon...
Narkhan finished the sentence with a smile.
—And his class is cultivator of immortality.
Six looked thoughtful and then commented:
—That sounds pretty strong… What level are you at right now?
"At level 100-plus," Narkhan replied calmly.
Six let out a soft sigh.
—That's already world boss level... You've gone too far, don't you think?
Narkhan simply laughed , while Ainz decided to pick up the thread of the meeting.
—Okay, time to get on with it.
Narkhan looked at Zhou Fan and spoke in a carefree tone.
—Well, since you've introduced yourself, I hope you get along with the others. In the future, you'll meet another guardian, the one from floors one, two, and three. I hope you get along with her too.
Zhou Fan bowed in respect.
Finally, Ainz took the floor to give the final specifications.
—Albedo, Demiurge, Aiko, and Zhou Fan, you will take care of Nazarick in our absence. With that, the meeting is concluded.
Thus concluded the Guardians' meeting, marked by the presentation of the new NPCs who would assist in the administration of Nazarick.
At that moment, the Supremes were gathered in a luxurious room, with Yuri Alpha standing in the doorway. The walls were detailed with gold and dark details, and a large mirror hung on one of them. Narkhan and Six were comfortably seated on a sofa, while Ainz approached a basket filled with swords.
Ainz took a sword and, looking at them out of the corner of his eye, asked:
—How do you plan to move around in the outside world?
Six made a thoughtful face.
— Hmm … I don't know. I haven't tested what classes I can use, but I guess I could serve as support or attack from a distance.
Narkhan thought for a moment.
—Perhaps assassin… or thief. I have all the classes, though, so I haven't decided yet. And you, Ainz?
Ainz stared at the sword in his hand. At that instant, a pair of black armor with a red cape covered his body, with two black swords crossed on his back.
—I will wear this armor.
Six smiled calmly and said.
—Item creation… apparently you had already decided.
Narkhan spoke with interest.
—So you'll be a warrior and Narberal a mage. I guess we're missing.
Six stood up as he said.
"I need something to cover my face… what could I use?" he murmured before activating his skill. "Item Creation."
Her silver hair turned pink, tied in two ponytails on the sides. She wore a white archer's outfit with brown details, a white cape with elegant details, and a piece of cloth from her clothing that covered part of her face like a mask.
Narkhan , sitting on the couch, sighed before activating his transformation. His attire changed into an assassin's uniform: a cape covered his lower body, while his torso was protected by black armor with metallic details. His forearms, legs, and chest had armored reinforcements, and a dark hood covered his head, revealing only his eyes behind a black mask.
Narkhan stood up, and at that moment, two large daggers, resembling dragon fangs, appeared behind his waist, tucked into their sheaths. Chains emerged from their hilts, thrumming with latent energy.
Six, for his part, extended his arm and materialized a bow adorned with white and gold details, emanating an imposing aura.
Ainz watched them carefully and nodded before speaking calmly:
—Apparently, we're ready. The first thing to do is sign up for the adventurers' guild.
Narkhan and Six looked at each other, and in that instant, Narkhan's eyes turned a dark blue, while Six's changed to a deep brown.
The two nodded and, without wasting any time, left the place, ready to head to E-Rantel.
In the city of E-Rantel, people walked the streets, buying goods, chatting, and watching children play. Life flowed normally as four figures moved in a specific direction. Around their necks hung a bronze-rank adventurer's badge.
The people in the inn watched them with curiosity and attention. When Ainz opened the doors and entered, the bustle of the place immediately died away. The customers, who until a moment ago had been enjoying themselves, fell silent, analyzing the newcomers.
Ainz walked forward unfazed, followed by Narkhan, Six, and Narberal. He approached the bartender and asked for a room with four beds. Meanwhile, everything slowly returned to normal.
Narkhan smiled beneath his mask, deep in thought. This is where it begins…
He glanced to the side, noticing a redhead sitting there, staring at a blue option with a happy expression on her face. It's her...
Then he turned his gaze to the other side, where a group of adventurers were laughing amongst themselves, though occasionally they cast discreet glances in his direction. Everything continues as usual… at least for now.
Ainz finished speaking with the bartender and began walking inside, heading for the room. However, just as he took a few steps, one of the adventurers reached out with his foot, trying to trip him up.
Narkhan watched silently, not intervening, letting everything unfold as it should.
After the commotion, the four finally reached the room. Once inside, the three Supremes sat on their respective beds, while Narberal knelt by the door, scanning the room with distaste.
"This place isn't worthy of you. I'll find a more suitable one," he said firmly.
"No need, Narberal," Six replied calmly. "It's perfect for our range, so don't worry."
—But, Six-sama, this is… —she insisted.
Ainz intervened as his helmet disappeared, revealing his skull.
—Leave it like that for now, Narberal.
"Ainz-sama…" she murmured.
—Call me Momon in this place, no honorifics. And you're Nabe, an adventurer. Also, stand up, they might see us. Do you understand?
Narberal obeyed immediately and then asked:
—Supreme, what should I do with the violent woman?
"She's higher in rank than us," Six replied politely as he lowered his mask, revealing his face. "We'll leave her alone to maintain our image as apprentices. Also, call me Yumi ya Narkhan, Liam."
Narberal lowered her head in respect.
—I'm so sorry… Yumi.
Six walked over and put a hand on his shoulder with a slight smile.
—That's fine, you don't have to worry so much.
Ainz glanced at her and spoke calmly.
—Nabe, what do you think of humans?
Narberal answered without hesitation.
—They're garbage.
Ainz opened his mouth slightly in surprise.
—You too? Really?
Narkhan let out an amused laugh, while Six just sighed.
Ainz shook his head and spoke firmly.
—I won't tell you to change your way of thinking, but try to be a little more tolerant.
Six added in a more relaxed tone.
—Let's try to be adventurers who look like heroes of this place.
Narkhan stretched lazily and spoke in his usual relaxed tone, though with a hint of mockery in his voice.
"Since we have a place to stay, we'd better find a way to make money. I don't think the inn will let us sleep for free just because we're attractive."
Ainz nodded, crossing his arms.
—You're right. We'll go to the guild immediately.
Narkhan smiled with amusement under his mask.
—I hope it's not boring. I don't want to fall asleep while listening to speeches about guild rules. Hahaha.
Ainz ignored her comment and looked at Narberal seriously.
—Nabe, do you know why we came to this place?
Narberal instantly knelt, showing her utmost respect. Six, on the other hand, sighed and calmly returned to her bed, sitting cross-legged.
Ainz spoke in a calm but firm voice.
—Our goal is to gather information about this world. Becoming adventurers will make that path easier for us.
Six nodded with a slight smile and a friendly tone.
—Since adventurers take on all kinds of quests, we'll be able to gather all the information we want while we establish ourselves in this world. It'll also allow us to gauge the capabilities of the local people without arousing suspicion.
Narberal bowed her head in admiration.
—Amazing… As expected from the Supremes.
Narkhan, with his carefree tone and a mocking smile, added.
—But the real problem here is money. We can't use our own, so we have no choice but to work like good citizens. What a tragedy…
Six looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
—Does it bother you that much to make an effort?
Narkhan shrugged in amusement.
—Only if it's boring. But anyway, let's get this done quickly. I want to see how "challenging" this world is.
Ainz sighed, but a faint smile formed on his skull.
—Okay, then we'll head to the guild now.
Somewhere in E-Rantel, the redhead from earlier walked through the streets until she came to a small shop. Without hesitation, she pushed open the door and entered.
"Hello! Is anyone here?" he asked aloud as he peered inside.
Shelves filled with jars and medicinal herbs adorned the room, giving off a peculiar aroma. From a staircase at the back, a young man began to descend.
"Welcome. Do you need anything?" she said with a friendly smile as she got out.
The redhead nodded and answered confidently:
—I'm Brita . Are you Nphiria Balear?
The young man looked at her curiously and nodded.
—Yes, that's me. How can I help you?
In the adventurer's guild, Ainz and Narberal were looking at a large mural where the available quests were displayed.
Ainz sighed, crossing his arms as he thought, "Those two left me behind to go sightseeing…" Before entering the guild, Narkhan had mentioned that he would take a stroll and return when they had a quest, while Six had followed him without hesitation. I wonder what they're doing now…
He sighed again and looked away at the quest board.
Also, I can't understand the language of this world or what the quests say...
He turned his head slightly and noticed that Narberal was also looking away, her expression serious but distracted. Ainz frowned slightly.
So Narberal can't read the language either...
He sighed again and shrugged.
—Well, since… Let's do something.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in E-Rantel, Narkhan stood atop a watchtower, observing the city with his arms crossed. Six stood behind him, looking at him curiously.
"What are you planning to do, Narkhan?" Six asked, leaning on the railing. "What are you planning?"
Narkhan turned slowly and leaned against the railing, crossing his arms.
"What happens next will be more or less important," he replied calmly. "If things continue as they were, I won't act, but if something changes… then I'll move."
Six sighed and stared at him.
—Why do you continue on the same path? You know you could change it. Or do you just want to achieve something?
Narkhan gave a light laugh.
—If I turn things around the wrong way, Ainz's luck might not work out. Believe it or not, Ainz is incredibly lucky. Things always turn out in his favor… but that's also because he's smart, sort of, and because of the help of the NPCs . I prefer to take the easy way out.
Six listened to him in silence before breaking into a smile.
—So Ainz is lucky… Well, you might be right. After all, he is the protagonist of this world.
Narkhan shook his head.
—I don't think so. It's just his story. He's the protagonist of his own path as he navigates this world.
Six walked over to the railing and looked out over the city.
—So… what happens now?
Narkhan smiled under his mask.
—Next, Ainz will find someone to help him create a potion other than the red one… A purple one, one that fits this world but is distinct. Instead of using the red one, we'll use that one to differentiate ourselves, but only a little.
Six placed both hands on the railing and nodded.
—Something that makes us special… but without going beyond our limits.
Narkhan let out a small laugh and looked at him sideways.
—You do know how to explain things… I was never good at that.
Six smiled kindly, also under his mask.
—So what are we doing here?
Narkhan looked at the city and replied calmly:
—If we stay here, Ainz will think for himself and do the same thing as last time.
Six nodded and crossed his arms.
—I understand… Then we'll just wait.
Narkhan smiled again.
—It won't take long.
After a moment, they both stood there, staring at the quest board without really being able to read it.
Suddenly, a message resonated in their minds.
"I already have a mission," Ainz said calmly. "It's time to gather together."
Narkhan and Six responded almost instantly.
—Let's go there.
At the entrance to the adventurers' guild, several people were chatting among themselves. Among them was a group of four adventurers known as the Swords of Darkness, as well as a young man wearing an apron and a distinctive mushroom haircut: Nphiria.
Ainz, under his identity as Momon, and Narberal were also there.
One of the members of the Blades of Darkness tried to flirt with Narberal, but she responded in a cold and curt manner, causing sighs of resignation among her teammates at the lack of progress in the conversation.
Nphiria turned her gaze towards Ainz, the towering black warrior, and spoke respectfully:
—Momon-san, you said you had a team. They're coming, right?
Ainz looked at him and calmly replied:
—That's right. They're coming.
Nphiria nodded and decided to wait patiently.
A moment later, in the distance, two figures began to approach. As they approached, several people at the guild entrance turned their gazes toward them, especially toward the woman, who was remarkably tall by normal standards.
The group of adventurers watched them closely and couldn't help but be amazed. They both looked imposing and strong.
The adventurer who had tried to flirt with Narberal looked at Ainz curiously and asked:
—Momon-san, are they your team?
Ainz nodded calmly.
-That's how it is.
At that moment, the newcomers reached them. Narkhan, now known as Liam, was the first to speak with a relaxed smile:
—Nice to meet you, I'm Liam.
Then, Six, who now responded to the name Yuri, introduced himself with a friendly attitude:
—I'm Yuri, I hope we get along.
The adventurers exchanged glances with each other before nodding.
Ainz took the initiative again.
"It's time to go, don't you think?" he said, turning to Nphiria.
The young man nodded and replied:
-Yes that's fine.
After a few minutes, the group left the city. Nphiria drove the wagon while the others walked around, acting as escorts with an imposing presence.
As they walked along the road, Narkhan approached Ainz with a carefree smile, while Six, with her calm demeanor, walked beside him.
"And what exactly do we have to do, Momon?" Narkhan asked in a relaxed tone.
Ainz sighed, crossing his arms.
—It's simple, we just have to escort this wagon to a village called Carne.
Six tilted her head slightly, thoughtful.
—I see… Something simple. Anything else, Momon?
Ainz glanced at Nphiria and then at his companions.
—This mission was requested by the person in the wagon. We seem to have attracted a lot of attention.
Six looked curiously at the young man on the cart before speaking in his usual calm tone:
—I understand… So he was the one who requested the escort. Who is he?
Ainz replied with his usual calm.
—It's Nphiria, a pharmacist from E-Rantel. He wants us to accompany him to Carne Village to gather herbs.
Narkhan placed a hand on the back of his neck, his expression nonchalant and his smile faint.
—I see… So that's why. Sounds interesting.
Ainz nodded, maintaining his serious demeanor.
—Let's just do our job, okay?
Narkhan gave a light laugh.
—Calm down, don't worry so much.
Six nodded calmly.
—Yes, it's clear.
Narkhan smiled again with amusement and looked at Ainz with a mischievous air.
—But don't get so mad, Momon. We just went for a walk around town.
Ainz sighed in resignation.
—I understand… It's not like I didn't want to do the same thing.
Narkhan gave a light laugh.
—Next time, go with Nabe and take a walk around the city. What do you say?
Ainz looked at Narberal, who, as always, maintained her serious expression, and then nodded with a sigh.
-Alright.
The journey was peaceful and uneventful. At one point, they came to an area where a river wound its way along the side of the road. They decided to take a break to rest and recover.
The group scattered along the shore. Some collected water and others stood guard, while Ainz and Narberal remained together, with Narkhan always attentively at their side. Narkhan and Six sat on a nearby rock, calmly observing the scenery.
The leader of the Dark Swords group looked towards Narkhan and Six with a friendly smile before speaking:
—Before they only introduced themselves briefly… My name is Peter Mauk .
Narkhan and Six watched him with neutral expressions while Peter pointed at his partner, who had a confident smile and kept looking at Narberal and Six, now known as Yuri.
—He is Lukrut Come back , our eyes and ears.
Then Peter pointed to a man who smiled kindly while holding his cane.
— Dyne Woodwonder , specialist in healing magic and nature manipulation.
Finally, he pointed to the last member, who had a calm and analytical air.
—And finally, our magic caster, Nynya .
Narkhan and Yuri nodded calmly and returned the greeting without much emotion.
Peter then looked at Momon seriously.
—From here on, the road will become dangerous.
Ainz nodded, his voice deep and confident.
—I understand. We'll be on the alert.
Lukrut , the same one who had tried to flirt with Narberal earlier, gave her a smug smile.
—Nabe-chan, you have nothing to worry about. I'm the eyes and ears of the team, so you'll be in good hands.
Narberal sighed with obvious annoyance before responding with her usual coldness:
—This mosquito…
Ainz sighed, tired of the same scene repeated.
—That's enough.
Narberal bowed her head slightly towards him.
—May I crush it, Momon-san?
Lukrut laughed nervously and shrugged.
—Gosh… As rude as ever.
The atmosphere became a little tense after Narberal's response, and some members of the group laughed uncomfortably.
Then, Lukrut turned his attention to Yuri with his playful smile.
—I'm sure you're quite beautiful behind that mask, Yuri-chan.
Six looked him straight in the eyes and, with a barely perceptible smile, replied in a calm voice:
—Thanks, but no thanks. Hahaha.
The group was silent for a moment, unsure how to react. Then Narkhan, now Liam, broke the ice with a relaxed tone.
—Tell me, what creatures live in this area?
The magic caster, Nynya , spoke with a smile, adjusting her glasses slightly.
—If I'm not mistaken, this area is controlled by the Wise King of the Forest, right?
Ainz turned his head slightly towards him, showing interest.
—Wise King of the Forest?
Nphiria, who was driving the cart, nodded before answering.
—It's a powerful magical creature that has lived for hundreds of years. It's said to be a four-legged silver beast with a serpentine tail. It's a wise being, capable of using magic.
Ainz remained silent for a moment, thoughtful.
— Hmm … It would be interesting to meet such a creature.
After that brief exchange, the group decided to continue on their way. They gathered their belongings and left the area, resuming their walk along the trail.
Elsewhere in the New World, in the Great Tomb of Nazarick, Demiurge could be seen walking through the corridors with his refined and calculating bearing. His destination was Ainz's office, but as soon as he opened the door, his gaze immediately went to the luxurious bed inside the dark room. The purple fabrics adorning the place gave it a solemn and elegant air. However, what caught his attention most was the figure of Albedo, lying under the sheets.
Demiurge narrowed his eyes suspiciously and crossed his arms.
—Are you supposed to be in Ainz-sama's bedroom?
Albedo, holding the sheets to cover herself, gave him a calm look and responded with a voice full of emotion.
—I was thinking of impregnating his bed with my essence so that when he returns, he can feel my presence.
Demiurge sighed, adjusting his glasses with one finger.
—Ainz-sama is undead. He doesn't need to sleep, so…
He paused briefly, giving a slight smile.
—Well, just make sure you don't take things too far.
Albedo blinked and tilted her head, not quite understanding what he meant. Then, without giving it much thought, she pulled something out from under the sheets.
Demiurge raised an eyebrow at what it was and, with an expression somewhere between surprised and amused, asked:
—Is that… a full body pillow?
Albedo held the pillow proudly, with a slight blush on her face.
—That's right. I made it myself. Plus, thinking about our babies' future, I've already started preparing clothes. I made enough for them to wear until they're five, regardless of whether they're boys or girls.
Demiurge let out a sigh, but he couldn't hide his astonishment.
—Now that you mention it… The Eleventh Floor was opened , and the beings Narkhan-sama mentioned emerged from it. One of them was Zhou Fan, the guard of that floor, and the others were a family of six: four children and the two parents. Perhaps you could speak with them to learn more about… how to be a family.
Albedo opened her eyes with excitement, a radiant smile lighting her face.
—You're right. Perhaps I can learn something valuable from them. Thanks for the information, Demiurge.
He tilted his head slightly, his expression always calculating.
-It doesn't matter.
Ainz's party continued on their way when Nphiria stopped to repair the carriage, as one of the chains was damaged. While she worked, Ainz asked her questions about how she used magic, and the young man answered enthusiastically. Ainz, for his part, remained thoughtful, analyzing the information.
Lukrut approached Narberal with her confident smile.
—Nabe-chan, always so calm.
Narberal closed her eyes in resignation, but Lukrut continued speaking.
—It must be because you trust my eyes and ears, right?
Narberal stopped holding back and replied coldly.
—It's not because of you, it's because Momon-san is here.
Ainz touched her shoulder, signaling her to be silent, and Narberal was surprised before immediately falling silent.
Lukrut , still thoughtful, asked an unexpected question.
—Nabe-chan, Momon-san… you guys aren't really dating, are you?
Narberal tensed, her face blushing slightly, and she responded nervously.
—No-boyfriends? What are you saying? He already has Albedo-sama by his side…
Ainz was startled upon hearing that and looked at her in disbelief.
—Hey, wait, why are you saying that?
Narberal covered her mouth as she realized what she had said.
Everyone stared at them in silence, as Narkhan smiled slightly under his mask and Six frowned, directing an annoyed look at Lukrut . Ainz sighed and spoke firmly.
— Lukrut -san, could you be so kind as to stop investigating our private lives?
Lukrut raised his hands in apology.
—Sorry, I didn't know Momon-san already had someone.
Peter, the leader of the group, approached and lightly tapped him on the back.
—Momon-san, I apologize for my partner. It's rude to delve into other people's pasts.
Ainz simply shook his head.
—Don't worry. As long as it doesn't happen again, there's no problem.
Six was about to move toward Lukrut with unfriendly intentions, but Narkhan took her arm and shook his head. Six glanced at him, sighed in annoyance, and crossed her arms.
Peter looked at Lukrut seriously and opened his mouth to speak, but at that instant Lukrut raised his arm, alerting the group.
—Apparently, something is moving…
He looked towards the entrance of the forest near the meadow they were in.
Peter frowned.
—Where are they?
Lukrut pointed to an area of the forest, where armed goblins and orcs began to appear , ready to attack.
Peter quickly turned to Nphiria.
—Please hide inside the carriage!
However, before the young man could move, Liam appeared at his side and spoke calmly.
—No need, I'll protect him.
Everyone present was surprised, but Peter nodded seriously. Then he looked at Ainz.
—Momon-san, what do we do?
Ainz calmly gave his orders.
—Stay near the carriage and eliminate anyone who approaches. Yuri, it's your turn.
Yuri nodded and drew his bow. He aimed at the monsters and shot an arrow into the sky. The arrow quickly ascended, and as it began to fall, it multiplied into dozens of projectiles that annihilated several enemies in a single attack.
The Dark Swords team was amazed at Yuri's precision and power.
-Incredible…!
Ainz calmly advanced toward the remaining monsters, with Narberal following close behind. Meanwhile, the party prepared to receive the next wave.
An orc rushed at Ainz with its weapon raised, but Ainz drew his sword and, with a single swift slash, cut it in two. Without missing a beat, he moved nimbly, striking down more enemies with swift, accurate attacks.
Narberal, meanwhile, used level three magic to launch a powerful attack that eliminated several monsters in one go.
The Dark Swords team watched everything in amazement.
—Platinum-rank equipment…? No, this is higher than Mythril … will they be Adamantite -rank ?
One of them looked at Yuri and then at Liam, both completely calm in the middle of the fight.
—A team made up of beings as strong as this… As powerful as the Warrior Captain…
Despite the overwhelming power of Ainz and his party, some monsters managed to pass the defense and approached the Dark Swords team, but they reacted immediately and eliminated them without difficulty.
Finally, the remaining monsters, terrified by the massacre, decided to flee the scene.
After the fight, Ainz watched Nynya collect the body parts of the orcs and goblins , carefully analyzing each fragment. Intrigued, Ainz asked:
—What do you need that for?
Nynya looked up and smiled slightly.
—They can be useful for alchemy and the creation of magical items. Plus, in some villages, they pay well for these materials.
From the carriage, Narkhan watched them silently. His posture was relaxed but alert, analyzing the scene and thinking to himself: Always looking for information... Hmph , but hey, everything takes its course.
Then he shifted his gaze to Six, who was conversing with the other members of the group. He listened intently to various stories about the New World, absorbing every detail with interest.
Narkhan looked up at the sky, a thoughtful expression and a slight smile on his face.
I wonder when my turn will come in this place… —he thought to himself—. Hahaha, well, I'll have as much fun as I can and we'll see.
Not far away, within the same country, two figures soared through the skies. One was a mage, wrapped in an elegant robe emblazoned with glittering runes, while the other was a warrior wearing high-grade armor, reflecting the sunlight with an imposing brilliance.
On the ground, several horses galloped at full speed, carrying a group of soldiers who seemed to be heading toward an unknown destination.
After several hours of travel, night fell over E-Rantel.
In an underground cave, dimly lit by torches, a platform with a five-pointed star stood in the center, surrounded by several columns that held up the roof. The atmosphere was dense and oppressive, permeated with an air of mystery and danger.
Two figures were conversing in low voices. A seductive-looking woman with an enigmatic smile watched her companion: a man wrapped in a red cloak, his face partially hidden by shadows. His eyes shone with a mixture of ambition and cruelty.
Both of them meticulously planned their next move, hatching a plan to plunge E-Rantel into chaos.
The team continued their journey toward Carne Village. At that moment, everyone was gathered around a campfire, sharing a simple meal while chatting. The Darkswords group dominated the conversation, relaxed after the day.
Each of them had a wooden plate and a spoon. Ainz looked at his food with disdain, showing no intention of eating it. Meanwhile, Six and Narkhan looked at him curiously.
Narkhan wordlessly lowered his hood and removed his mask. The members of the Dark Swords and Nphiria stared at him in surprise, shocked to see his face. Shortly after, Six did the same and began to eat quietly.
Ainz, for his part, simply held his plate without touching it, while Narberal, imitating his attitude, remained motionless with the food in her hands.
The group members blushed slightly upon seeing Six's face, with the sole exception of Nynya .
Peter, the leader, took the floor, watching them curiously.
"You're of the same race as Momon, aren't you? I must say you have quite the striking appearance."
Narkhan finished eating, put his plate on the floor, and drank some water before answering.
—I'm not one to show my face. I don't like it. I prefer to be remembered for my abilities, not my appearance.
Six nodded and added in a calm voice:
—I don't like showing it either. There are always people who see things they shouldn't.
The members of the Dark Swords exchanged glances with each other, smiling with some discomfort, while Six and Narkhan covered their faces again.
Lukrut , with her carefree attitude, looked away at Narberal, who had not touched her food.
"Is there something bothering you?" he asked with interest.
Narberal didn't reply, she just ignored him. Lukrut , undaunted, smiled mischievously.
"Oh, if that's the case, how about I feed you?" he teased, raising his spoon in her direction.
Narberal glared at him, and in an instant, the spoon she was holding broke with a sharp crack.
Lukrut stood still for a moment before withdrawing his spoon with a tight smile.
Momon, observing the scene, sighed and decided to intervene.
"You see, we're not the type to eat after a fight. For me, it's more of a ritual. The same goes for my partner, though in a different way. We come from the same place, but our customs are different."
The others looked at each other, murmuring about how interesting they found this tradition.
Ainz changed the subject.
—While we're at it, why are they called the Swords of Darkness?
Three of the group members smiled proudly, while Nynya blushed slightly in embarrassment as they began the conversation.
For his part, Narkhan thought silently. Everything is the same as I remember from the original series. The words, the interactions… It's as if my intervention didn't change anything or something had happened without me noticing… He sighed, putting the thought aside.
After a moment of conversation, Ainz stood up after hearing a comment from Nynya that didn't please him. Without saying anything, he walked away. Narkhan, Six, and Narberal followed him without hesitation.
Ainz sat on a rock, silently observing the starry sky.
Narkhan and Six settled on his back, resting after the journey.
"Your purpose is noble," Six commented, breaking the silence. "Seeking the Sword of Darkness is a worthy goal."
"You're right," Narkhan nodded before turning to Ainz. "And you, Momon? It seems his words affected you… Do you miss the others?"
Ainz didn't reply immediately, just glanced sideways at Narkhan.
The latter continued:
—They went their own way, it was their decision. Besides, you have us.
Six sighed and looked at him with some seriousness.
—Narkhan, always so immature… You think people are just like you. Ainz remembers them because they were the best times for everyone. The warmth we felt back then was unmatched.
Ainz sighed and finally spoke:
—That's right... Those were incredible days. But at least you're here now. Otherwise, I think I'd feel a little lonely.
Narkhan gave a light laugh before saying:
"You won't feel alone, you have them," he pointed in Narberal's direction. "They'll protect and care for you better than we could, hahaha. After all, that's what they were created for. Besides, you'd advance in this world and we'd obtain everything, Ainz."
Ainz let out a light laugh and commented in a relaxed tone:
—Wow, you sure know what to say. Can you imagine if I did that?
Narkhan laughed even more, leaning on Ainz's back.
—Now you have us… The strongest player, the vice- guildmaster, and the guildmaster… The three best together. Isn't it fun this way? We'll travel this endless world until we unravel all its secrets.
Ainz nodded with a slight smile.
—We'll do that.
Six, unable to help himself, leaned back as well and muttered with a resigned sigh:
—Always leaving me out… fools.
Beside them, Narberal watched the conversation with admiration.
While Ainz, Narkhan and Six were talking, the other group watched them with some curiosity.
"It's obvious they've been together for a long time," Peter commented with a thoughtful smile. "They're pretty close."
"Yes, although I don't think it's just a matter of time," Lukrut said in her usual relaxed tone. "More like it seems like you've been through a lot together."
Dyne nodded, watching them seriously.
—And yet , they continue forward with the same confidence. They're a good group.
Nynya , with a slight smile and a glimmer of longing in her eyes, murmured:
—Someday… we'll get there too.
The next day, everyone walked, protecting the carriage as they made their way along the road. During the walk, a conversation arose among the group, in which Ninya and Momonga managed to reach an agreement: Ninya would investigate the nature dragons. In this way, the two managed to soften their relationship after Ninya 's comment the night before.
After a while, they began to approach the Carne village, but as they moved forward, Ninya noticed something unusual ahead: a wall made of wooden logs, as if the ground were divided.
—Apparently, they divided the land… How strange, this wasn't there before, —he commented curiously.
From the wall, a goblin raised his voice:
—Call the boss!
As the wagon approached, the gate in the wall opened and several goblins appeared, ready to defend the place. Lukrut raised her arm, stopping the group.
"They're goblins ..." he murmured cautiously. Then, with a serious expression, he drew his bow. "Prepare for battle."
The others also became alert.
One of the wall goblins spoke firmly:
—Get ready to fire the arrows! Who are you?
At that moment, from around the wagon, where the grass was tall, more armed goblins emerged , ready for battle.
"Lower your weapons!" one of them ordered.
Everyone was surprised.
"Those are…" Ainz muttered, analyzing the situation.
One of the goblins , who looked like a leader, looked at the group carefully before saying:
"We won't fight unless it's necessary… Especially with those three over there," he pointed at Ainz, Narkhan, and Six, before turning his gaze on Narkhan. "I can feel it… he's too strong. My instincts are screaming at me to run… If the other two are dangerous, this one simply means death… Haha… Damn…"
At that moment, a person came to the goblin and asked:
—What's wrong, Goblin-san?
— Chief … —the goblin replied respectfully.
From the cart, Nphiria watched her in surprise and murmured in amazement:
—Enri…
Enri looked up and smiled happily.
"Nphiria!" he exclaimed, clasping his hands in excitement.
The Dark Swords group exchanged glances and murmured among themselves:
—So she's the chosen one... Not bad.
Nphiria and Enri went to a house and sat on chairs, side by side.
When Enri finished telling what happened in the village, Nphiria nodded and spoke calmly:
—I see… So that's what happened.
Enri's eyes filled with tears, and Nphiria looked at her with concern.
"It must have been hard for you, Enri…" he said in a soft tone.
Nphiria lowered his head as several thoughts invaded him. But I'm here... I'll protect you... However, he couldn't say it out loud. He was ashamed.
Enri wiped her tears and smiled weakly.
—But I had my little sister to worry about…
Nphiria couldn't express what she really thought, so she simply said:
—Let me know if you need anything, anything at all. I'll do my best to help you.
Enri smiled at him gratefully.
—Thank you for your help. I'm incredibly lucky to have you as a friend, Nphiria.
He gave a small smile and replied:
—It's okay, we've known each other for a long time, after all.
Enri nodded.
—Leaving that aside… —Nphiria changed the subject—. What happened to those goblins ?
Enri's eyes lit up with excitement.
—They appeared when I used the item Ainz Ooal Gown-sama gave me. They listened to me and helped me on several occasions.
Nphiria nodded slowly.
—I see… Tell me, what kind of person is this Ainz Ooal Gown?
Enri thought about it for a moment and replied with admiration:
—His magical abilities are astonishing. With a single blast of electricity, he wiped out the knights.
Nphiria frowned slightly.
—Electricity… He probably used level 3 magic.
"That's incredible," Enri commented, impressed.
Nphiria crossed her arms and thought aloud:
—A lot of level 3 magic… It's more than a normal person can handle.
"As I thought… Gown-sama is an amazing person," Enri said in admiration.
Nphiria, still thoughtful, added:
—From what you're telling me, I might have the hero class and enough skill to be fifth level.
"And that's not all!" Enri continued. "He gave me a red potion that healed all my wounds."
Nphiria's eyes widened in surprise.
—A red potion ?
—Also, he had two other companions, and then a black-armored warrior appeared with him. Her name, I think, was… Albedo.
Nphiria stood still for a second. Then she opened her eyes in surprise and stood up abruptly.
Enri looked at him confused.
-What's happening?
Nphiria, with a serious expression, quickly responded:
—Sorry, I have to talk to someone. I'll be right back!
Without waiting for a reply, he ran out of the place.
From atop a hill, Ainz's group watched the village. Below, some villagers were being trained by goblins to shoot arrows.
Ainz spoke calmly as he watched the scene:
—They're good, don't you think?
Narberal nodded.
—Yes, they seem to have improved.
Six crossed his arms and replied in a neutral tone:
—Just a few weeks ago, they didn't even know how to hold a bow. Their relatives died, and now they're fighting to prevent it from happening again.
Narberal looked down and apologized.
—Sorry… I didn't think about it that deeply.
At that moment, Nphiria appeared running down the hill, shouting in despair:
—Momon-san!
When he arrived in front of the group, everyone looked at him attentively.
Ainz watched him silently before speaking:
—Do you need me?
Nphiria took a deep breath and said seriously:
—Momon-san… You are Ainz Ooal Gown, right?
The group fell silent, surprised. Ainz narrowed his eyes beneath his helmet, assessing the situation.
Nphiria continued speaking without hesitation:
—Thank you for your help… For saving this village.
Ainz replied in a firm voice:
—You have the wrong person.
Nphiria shook her head and spoke with determination:
—I know there must be a reason for hiding her name, but still… I want to thank you for saving Enri, the woman I love.
Ainz sighed lightly and said calmly:
—Lift your head.
Nphiria looked at him seriously and added:
—I want to tell you something.
Ainz watched him for a moment before turning to the others.
—Can you leave us alone?
From a distance, Six watched lazily, as did Narkhan. They both seemed bored, though their heightened senses allowed them to hear the conversation clearly.
Six looked at Narkhan, who simply shrugged.
"I see, everything's the same," Six commented indifferently.
Narberal watched them without understanding what they were talking about.
After a while, the conversation between Ainz and Nphiria ended. The three approached each other again, and Narberal bowed her head respectfully before speaking:
—Ainz-sama, I apologize.
Ainz looked at her calmly.
—That's true… It was because you mentioned Albedo's name.
Narberal felt a chill of shame and, with determination, drew her sword, bringing it to her neck.
—I'll apologize with my life.
Before she could do anything, Ainz raised a hand to stop her.
—It's not necessary. Everyone makes mistakes. You just need to make an effort not to repeat them. Your mistakes are forgiven, Narberal Gamma.
Narberal slowly lowered her sword, still with a serious expression.
Six smiled and, with a friendly gesture, patted him on the head.
—Don't worry so much, Nabe. Hehe, you scared me a little when you pulled out the sword. If you had died, I would have resurrected you just to scold you for what you did. You are one of our creations, after all.
Narberal felt a slight warmth in her chest at those words and nodded silently.
"Don't do that again, Nabe," Six added in a more serious tone, withdrawing his hand.
Narberal nodded again.
Narkhan sighed and commented with a mocking smile:
—What a tense moment. Always so bossy, Ainz. Hahaha.
Narberal looked at him seriously, but Narkhan just smiled at her confidently.
—You're doing a great job. Keep it up, Nabe.
Narberal nodded firmly.
After a few minutes of conversation, they were called to enter the forest and protect Nphiria. Now, the entire group was at the entrance to the forest, ready for the mission.
