To The Monster's Lair

Avasyu moved like a storm, cutting down monsters one after another in the atrium.

He slashed open their mouths.

He cleaved their heads clean off.

He split them in half—vertically.

He severed their necks with deadly precision.

He froze them mid-motion by surging electricity through his machete.

Some monsters, standing too close to one another, were caught in the crackling energy—dead before they could even react.

The battle didn't last long.

Within moments, every single monster in the facility lay dead.Corpses littered the floor.

To his left—bodies stacked upon bodies.

To his right—shredded remains. On the walls—lifeless creatures clung frozen in place.

Even behind his guard—the fallen surrounded them.

Though the darkness still loomed, the monsters' bodies had become visible to normal golden eyes.

His guard, standing behind him, had watched everything. He had witnessed Avasyu butcher them all.And what he saw—left him speechless.

His mind raced."Wha... How is he this strong?"

His fingers curled into a fist."He's probably stronger than me..." He couldn't deny it.

Avasyu wasn't a normal kid.He was something far more than just a kid.

Avasyu stood motionless among the corpses. Not a single scratch marked his body. Not a single drop of blood had spilled from his skin. The monsters hadn't even touched him.

The atrium was still shrouded in darkness—impenetrable to normal eyes. But his guard could see.

His golden eyes pierced through the shadows, locking onto Avasyu's figure.

He was standing there. Breathing heavily.

Huff !! Huff !!

Then—Avasyu turned. His gray eyes glowed faintly as he spoke.

"It's not over. But everything is going smoothly."

His guard hesitated before stepping forward."Are there more monsters?" he asked.

Avasyu's voice was calm. "Yes. They're in the forest."

The guard furrowed his brows. "How do you know that?"

Avasyu met his gaze. "Come with me. I'll tell you."

Then, without another word, he turned and began walking.Toward the chief's room.

"We need to wake up everyone."

Avasyu and his guard made their way to the chief's room.

By now, the guard had stopped asking questions. He still wasn't sure if he could fully trust Avasyu, but he was starting to.

Upon reaching the chief's quarters, Avasyu didn't hesitate.

Zzzzz!!

He fired the electric gun.

The chief jerked awake, shouting in pain.

"AHHH!! What the hell?!"

"Was I asleep?! "

"And—did you wake me up with my own gun?!"

Before Avasyu could answer, his guard snapped at him.

"Why the hell did you use the electric gun?! He could've woken up with just water!"

Avasyu turned to him, his voice calm but firm.

"If you weren't sure I was doing the right thing—why did you just stand there and let me pull the trigger?"

The guard's frustration boiled over.

"It's just—too much is happening! And somehow, you know everything about it!

" I don't know whether to trust you!"

Avasyu met his gaze. "I understand how you feel. But soon—you'll understand me, too.

For now, just wake up the others. Only the guards."

He then turned to the chief.

"I need your permission."

The chief, still disoriented, rubbed his temples.

"Wake up everyone? What do you mean? Everyone's asleep?"

He glanced at the clock on his desk.7 PM.

The realization hit him.Something was wrong.Meanwhile, the guard, still shaken, left to wake the others.

Avasyu turned to the chief. "Follow me. I need to show you something."

Without waiting for a response, he led the way toward the atrium.

As they entered, the chief took one look inside and froze. His eyes widened in shock. "What the hell is that?!"

Avasyu followed his gaze, then replied calmly.

"Monsters."

The chief's breath hitched as he took in the scene—twisted, grotesque corpses littered the floor.

Some were split in half. Others had their mouths torn open. Their massive, ugly forms lay motionless, the stench of death heavy in the air.Avasyu stood to the chief's right.

"They came to kill us," he said. "By putting us to sleep."

The chief turned to him, still struggling to process everything.

"They put... everyone to sleep? Even me?"

Avasyu nodded. "Yes. When I woke up, I tried waking you—but you wouldn't budge."

"So I searched your room, found the electric gun, and considered using it on you. But I couldn't risk it."

He glanced toward the hallway.

"So I tested it on my guard instead. And when I did—he woke up."

The chief swallowed hard, still shaken.Avasyu met his eyes.

"That's why I need you to trust me. And we need to act fast."

Avasyu stood firm, his gray eyes glowing faintly in the dimly lit office.

"There are more monsters. Outside our facility. In the forest. Waiting to attack again."

He turned to the chief, his voice steady but urgent.

"That's why I need your help. I killed the ones inside, and I have the power to kill their leader too. For the next 24 hours—no, until morning—let me lead our guards."

The chief sat in deep thought, weighing the situation.

Just then, the door swung open. The guards, now fully awake, rushed inside.

One of them, still groggy, looked at the chief. "What's going on here? The atrium is full of corpses—what the hell happened? And why were we asleep until past 7 PM?"

Avasyu turned his head toward the chief. After a moment of hesitation, the chief nodded.

Avasyu stood from the table, addressing the room.

"Listen carefully."

"These creatures are a new species. They emit a gas from their mouths and backs—not toxic, but enough to make humans fall unconscious. The only way to wake up is through electricity."

He lifted his electrified machete for them to see.

"That's why we need weapons like this."

The guards exchanged glances, the tension in the room growing.

"Weapons? For what?" one of them asked.

Avasyu's expression darkened.

"Because we're taking the fight to them.

We're going into the monsters' lair—and wiping them out before they wipe us out."

Everyone was shocked, but Avasyu remained unfazed.

Because He was ready to unveil his strategy.

And reveal his powers to all.
