Chapter 4: Something Is Off

 After hugging Oliver, he releases me and asks, "Who is this?" I look at Han and he doesn't say anything, even though he just sang happy birthday to me. I look at Oliver and say, "Oliver this is Kim Han-Joon, Han this is Oliver." Han holds his hand out and Oliver shakes it, I smile and see everyone bonding at the party after that. I look off into the forest and see red eyes looking at me. I rub my eyes and see there is nothing there after that. I turn and smile at Ashley who is also looking into the forest in fear. I put my hand on her shoulder, and she jumps and looks at me, "Are you okay?" She nods her head, and she looks over at Lee who looks over at Han, they nod their heads and Lee says, "Okay! Everyone! Let's go inside now since it's getting cold!" Everyone seems to agree and walks into the house with me being left outside alone looking into the forest at those red eyes.

 I feel something grab my shoulder, so I scream and throw my hand back making the person fly all the way across my backyard. My hand covers my mouth, and I look at my hands and then hear someone groan. I ran over to see Lee bleeding while a piece of wood was going through his shoulder. I cover his wound while he grunts in pain, I hear someone approach us and Ashley looks at Lee while Han looks at me. I'm crying while no one else seems worried, Ashley lifts Lee off of the wood and I put pressure on his wound. He reaches up with his bloody hand and smiles while wiping away a tear for me. "Why are you smiling?" I ask crying more. "I'll be fine Mia." Lee says. "Help me bring him somewhere." Ashley says. I nod my head and yell inside that I would be out with friends with a somewhat steady voice. Han and Ashley carry Lee into the forest while I look around hearing growling. I get scratched by something and I cry out in pain, Han immediately looks back and signals for Ashley. Ashley lets go of Lee and runs to me and tells me to help Han who has no conscience. I help Han and we see a cabin; Ashley still isn't back by the time we get inside. I stop the bleeding by the time Ashley is back, and her clothes are ruined. She rushes over after shutting and locking the door. "I stopped the bleeding." I say. She looks at me and she smiles and then it drops when she looks at my arm. I was in a bunch of pain, but I didn't show it, my arm was covered in blood and the wound looked infected already. I look at Han who is sweating and say, "Worry about your brother not me." She looks at me and then at something behind me, I turn to see Han looking worried. Ashley nods at Han and he walks over to me and throws me over his shoulder and goes to the other room shutting the door. He starts rummaging through drawers and the pain starts getting worse, tears are now pouring out of my eyes, and he quickly comes over to me. He looks at my arm and runs a hand through his hair, he goes out of the room and comes back with a jar of something. He puts it on my wound, and it helps a little but it's still deep. He wraps my arm in a bandage, and he lays me down in the bed and I fall into a sleep full of darkness. I open my eyes and look at the walls that are pink, two people walk in with a cake and I notice it's my mom and dad. I smile and see my older brother walk in as well. I blow the candles out and mom and dad leave for work while Oliver and I play around the house. It's nighttime now and mom and dad should be back soon. Mom and dad rush in the door shutting and locking all the doors and windows. They were all bloody and torn up, mom rushes to Oliver and says something to him. Oliver picks me up and runs us to the dining room table and lifts up the floorboards and puts me in first. He comes down and puts the boards back and holds me tightly and covers my ears. I peek from the floorboard and see red eyes everywhere; I hug my brother and close my eyes while he rocks me. I open my eyes hearing my name and I feel really weak, I see Han next to me. He smiles at me, and he says, "I'm so glad you're okay." I smile and he grabs my hand, I squeeze it with the strength I have, and he smiles even bigger. Lee walks in with his shirt off, but a wrap around his shoulder, Ashley follows him. I smile and Lee says, "Looks like you got hurt yourself little one." I chuckle and say, "Not as bad as you are though." I remember what happened and lift my free hand and look at it. "Look Mia, I'm fine." Lee says. I put my hand down confused but smiled anyway. "So, what happened to you?" Lee asked, he came close to examine my arm, he was so close with bare skin. I look up into his shining eyes that are shining brighter, I look at his lips and he smirks at me, but someone says, "Back up." Everyone looks at Han with wide eyes and Lee backs off immediately and Ashley rushed to Han and hugged him which made me squeeze Han's hand. I don't know why, but I don't like her being that close to him. Han pushes Ashley off of him and she asks, "Did you just speak?" Han looks at me and I nod. I close my eyes, having sharp pain go through my head and I start crying and screaming in pain. I see flashes of images, red eyes, lights, wings, blood, my cat, and shadows. I passed out due to the pain I was experiencing.Han P.O.V. Mia was mumbling and thrashing in her sleep, so I called her name, she opened her eyes and looked around. She was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen so I say, "I'm so glad you're okay." I smile and grab her hand; she squeezes it with barely any strength, so I smile even bigger knowing she is fighting off the infection well. Lee walks in with his shirt off with a wrap around his shoulder, I roll my eyes and see him get closer to Mia. I saw her staring at him and so I spoke up and said, "Back up." I see everyone's eyes go wide while looking at me, Ashley runs and hugs me, but I feel Mia squeeze my hand, so I push Ashley off while she asks, "Did you just speak?" I look at Mia knowing she was the reason for me speaking little by little again. I then hear Mia cry and scream in pain for a couple of minutes and then she passes out holding her head. I start panicking and I run my hand through my hair, Ashley looks at me and then she tells us boys to get out. I leave with Lee not knowing what was going on and hear screams of Mia's pain, but she finally comes out with blood all over her. "She is sleeping right now, but this is not good." Ashley says. I rush in not caring hoping she was okay, but I see her sleeping with a white dress, a tiara, and... wings?! I knew something was off with her when I first saw her.
