**Glossary**

**Ablon, the Renegade Angel**: Also called the First General before the purge. He was the leader of the Sodom Revolt. Cast out to Haled by Michael, with his eighteen cherubim.

**Adnari**: One of the remnants of the tribe of the Children of Shem. She was a slave at Nimrod's Babel. Later, she became one of the greatest magicians of her time.

**Alai**: Type of copper trumpet, very large, characteristic of ancient Mesopotamia, which produced a very strong high-pitched sound.

**Alastor**: One of the nine dukes of hell.

**Alexius**: Roman slaver, used to traffic slaves from Alexandria to Rome.

**Amael, the Lord of Volcanoes**: Demon of the zanathus caste. Previously an ishim, he was responsible for commanding the melting of the polar ice caps during the flood.

**Ankarel, the Whip of Saint Michael**: Cherub subordinate to Euzin, who participated in the attack on Sodom. Sent with the Dark Angel to capture Shamira.

**Apollyon, the Terminator**: Formerly called the Destroying Angel, fell with Lucifer, becoming one of the dukes of hell. Chaotic, he is known for being the strongest of the fallen. Member of the order of Malikis.

**Arcadia**: Dimension known as fairyland.

**Archangels**: The highest hierarchy of angels. The most powerful celestials and closest to God. Only five of them were created: Miguel, Gabriel, Uziel, Rafael, and Lucifer.

**Armageddon**: The final battle that ends the Apocalypse.

**Asmodeus**: Considered the most intelligent and diplomatic of the nine dukes of hell.

**Asson**: Cherubic commander in support of the archangel Michael. He was present at the Sodom massacre.

**Atlantis, the Jewel of the Sea**: The greatest of all human nations before the flood, was destroyed with the flood.

**Aura**: The vital energy of angels and demons. It is the essence that allows them to use their abilities and special powers.

**Avatar**: The physical form of an angel or demon on the material plane. You don't need to eat or sleep unless injured.

**Aziel, the Sacred Flame**: Ruler of the Citadel of Fire, is an ishim of fire, supporter of the archangel Gabriel in the civil war.

**Baals**: Demons of punishment and torture. Many were hashmalim before the fall.

**Baalzebul, Prince of Flies**: One of the nine dukes of hell.

**Bacarata, the Prince of Matter**: Powerful and malevolent ethereal spirit.

**Bael the Unhappy**: Duke of Hell, ruler of the region called the Fields of Death.

**Balam**: Hashmalim in charge of coming to earth to test Noah's goodness. His mission was to prove that men are all evil and corruptible.

**Balberith**: Prince of the caste of cherubim.

**Balor**: Demon of the order of Baals, who controlled Zandrak's dungeons.

**Behemot**: Tehom's main assistant during the Primeval Battles.

**Belials**: Order of demons whose fundamental mission is to tempt (still living) human beings and "buy" their souls.

**Bethor**: Magical symbol used in spells to surround, contain, and temporarily imprison entities and spirits.

**Black Angel**: Extremely powerful entity of an indecipherable nature, which acts in the service of the archangel Michael. His wings have black feathers, and he always appears with his face covered by a mask.

**Blue Fire or Fairy Fire**: Flame that does not emanate heat, only luminescence, usually produced by magic.

**Brotherhood of Renegades or Eighteen Renegades**: Group of insurgents led by Ablon, the First General, in the so-called Revolt of Sodom.

**Cave on the Mountain**: Cave on top of Mashu Mountain, in the Sea of Rock, which was the refuge of Ablon during the time he was in the vicinity of Babylon. He ended up serving later as a crypt for the renegade Ishtar.

**Castes**: Classes of angels divided according to their nature and function in heaven. Demons also have their castes, which they usually call orders.

**Celestial Eden**: Third layer of the Seven Heavens, where human souls who have been righteous go during life. There are several spiritual colonies there. And also the home of the saints and the Enlightened One.

**Celestial Palace**: Fortress of the archangels in the Fifth Heaven. Most central and important point in paradise.

**Children of Eden**: Formal way for angels to refer to human beings.

**Children of Nod**: Men and women of Enoch.

**Children of Shem**: Desert tribe annihilated by the Babylonians during the reigns of Cush and Nimrod.

**Civil War**: Military conflict between Miguel and Gabriel that began with the birth of the Holy Child.

**Citadel of Fire**: Region of the First Heaven that is the meeting point for the ishins. It was governed by Amael, then Aziel, and later became the headquarters of Gabriel and the new rebels.

**Cuirass of Honor**: Famous golden armor of the angel Balberith.

**Cycle**: Measures the power level of an angel or demon. First cycle angels are the weakest, and those of the sixth cycle are the most powerful. Archangels are seventh cycle angels.

**Daughters of Shang**: First clan to rule China. Its members were endowed with mediumistic powers and capable of conversing with the spirits of their ancestors through oracle bones.

**Day of Reckoning or Judgment Day**: See Armageddon.

**Divinity**: Special power of angels and demons.

**Drakali-Thoth**: Considered the greatest necromancer in the world, he was Shamira's master.

**Dukes of Hell**: Demons of the highest hierarchy, who make up the council called the Circle of the Nine. The dukes are Asmodeus, Molloch, Mephistopheles, Alastor, Mammon, Orion, Apollyon, Baalzebul, and Bael.

**Eblis**: Powerful cherub, one of the commanders of Gabriel's army. Your weapon is the mace.

**Eastern Alliance**: Political and military coalition led by China, Russia, and North Korea in the conflict humanity that preceded the Apocalypse.

**Eden or Garden of Eden**: The angels called the earth before the emergence of the human species.

**Elves**: One of the many fairy races.

**Elohai**: Blacksmith angel, who forged Ablon's second armor, from a spark of the Scourge of Fire.

**Elohim**: Caste of angels whose main function was, in the past, to guide men as one of them.

**Ethereal Membrane**: Mystical fabric that separates the astral plane from the ethereal plane.

**Ethereal Plane**: Deepest layer of the spiritual world, beyond the astral plane. It is the home of evolved spirits and powerful pagan gods.

**Ethereal Spirits**: Entities that inhabit the ethereal plane. All pagan gods (Greek, Egyptian, Indians, etc.) are ethereal spirits. In general, they do not have great sympathy for the celestials, in consequence of the Ethereal Wars.

**Euzin**: One of the most influential cherubs under Michael's command. General of the Formidable Legion.

**Fields of Death**: Geographic region of Sheol where the souls of suicides and the useless are taken and those who gave up on life.

**Flame of Death**: Archangel Michael's fiery sword.

**Flower of the East**: Chinese woman captured as a slave, taken to Rome by Ablon.

**Fortress of Sion**: The greatest bastion of the archangel Michael's forces outside of heaven. Located in the ethereal plane, beneath the mundane city of Jerusalem.

**Fisheye**: Sailor of the Roman ship Insula Major.

**Four Gates**: Magical connections that, when opened by spell, create temporary vertices. The charm is used to allow manifestations of spiritual entities on the physical plane.

**Gaea**: Goddess of the Earth.

**Gabriel, the Master of Fire**: Also called the Angel of Revelation and The Messenger, is one of the five archangels.

**Gehenna**: Second layer of the Seven Heavens. It was the place of punishment of souls in ancient days, governed by Lucifer and his hashmalim. After the fall, Gehenna became a purgatory.

**Gorigath**: One of the last living dragons in the ethereal plane.

**Grimoire of Nippur**: Book containing a series of necromantic spells, written by the sorcerer Drakali-Toth.

**Grun-Kar, the Caretaker**: One of the three ancient spirits of the Tin-Sen grove. Similar to a man-gorilla.

**Hall of Heroes**: Chamber in the Palace of Enoch dedicated to ancient warriors, which also served as a conference room for the renegade angels after the purge.

**Hall of Portals**: Main room in the Fortress of Sion, equipped with several doors, each of them leading to a different dimension.

**Haled**: Way in which angels refer to the physical plane.

**Hanki, the Lord of Storms**: One of the three ancient spirits of the Tin-Sen grove. Could cast lightning and teleport.

**Hashmalins**: Caste of angels responsible for judging and sentencing mortals in Gehenna.

**Hazai**: The highest-ranking cherubic officer under Ablon's orders. One of the eighteen renegades.

**Ibn-Hatar**: Sorrel horse used by Ablon on his journey along the Silk Road. Its name means, in Arabic, son of danger.

**Invocation**: One of the schools of magic, specialized in channeling elemental and natural forces and converting them into energy.

**Ishtar**: Renegade cherub during the Sodom Revolt, later captured by Zamir and Nimrod.

**Ishins**: Caste of angels that controls elemental forces. They live in the First Heaven.

**John Marc**: Prior of the English monastery near the Red Forest (1231 AD).

**Korrigan**: Celtic spirit of great power and wisdom, who enlightens Ablon and Shamira about Miguel's intentions.

**Kumarbi the Tall**: One of the leaders of the slave rebellion in legendary Babel.

**Lahash**: Wicked angel selected by Michael to be one of the commanders in the defense of Sion. Before the civil war, he was known as an undisciplined and disobedient warrior.

**Legion of Swords**: Troop commanded by Ablon before the purge.

**Lilith, Queen of Succubus**: Adam's first wife. Taken to hell by Lucifer, she became leader of the order of female seduction demons.

**Lucifer, the Morning Star**: Also called the Black Archangel, Bringer of Light, Son of Dawn, and Prince of Darkness. One of the five archangels, he lost the war against Michael and fell to hell, becoming known as the Devil.

**Mai Yun, the Jade Scorpion**: Arachnid woman, leader of the ancient spirits of the Tin-Sen forest.

**Malikis**: Order of warrior demons, furious, unpredictable, brutal, and violent.

**Mammon**: Fat demon, with the body of a hippopotamus, the head of a pig, and immense horns. It's one of nine dukes of hell.

**Margath**: One of the elder dragons.

**Mari**: Slave girl, friend of Adnari in ancient Babel.

**Marilli**: Cherubic assassin known as one of the prey.

**Mediterranean Wars**: Repeated conflicts between Enoch and Atlantis for control of ports and territories.

**Mental Shock**: Telepathic deity that affects the individual's mind, potentially killing them.

**Mephistopheles or Mephisto**: One of the nine dukes of hell. Exceptional military strategist.

**Mirdoth**: Malefic cherub under the command of the archangel Michael. Detached to defend the Fortress of Sion.

**Molloch the Executioner**: One of the nine dukes of hell.

**Nathanael, the Most Pure**: Angel of the Ophanim caste, probably the kindest celestial of all. Before the flood, he was one of those responsible for defending Noah, protecting his soul and preserving the human species.

**Nebron**: Babylonian commander in the times of Nimrod.

**Necromancy**: School of magic dedicated to the study of spirits, the dead, and the spiritual world.

**Neptunia**: The largest volcano in paradise, located in the First Heaven. On top of it stands the Citadel of Fogo, headquarters of the Ishin caste.

**New Rebels**: Supporters of the archangel Gabriel in the civil war against Michael.

**Nimrod the Immortal**: Son of Cush, was the last king of legendary Babel.

**Ofanim**: The caste of angels closest to men, also called guardian angels. They are altruistic by nature and always avoid violence. Their powers are based on light and healing.

**Order of Sippar**: Brotherhood of wizards based in the city of Sippar, in Mesopotamia. Its main specialty was the use of herbs and plants to prepare potions and ointments. It went underground during the reign of Nimrod.

**Orion, the Fallen King of Atlantis**: Demon of the Satanic caste, formerly an elohim angel. When he saw his city destroyed by Michael's flood, he joined Lucifer in his war.

**Peace Bench**: Pavilion located in the Sixth Heaven, where three hundred angels sang praises to God asleep. Miguel banned any demonstrations after the start of the civil war.

**People of Clay**: Pejorative way for angels and demons to refer to human beings.

**Physical Plane**: The material world, where incarnated humans live. Understands the earth and the universe around you.

**Purge**: Refers to the defeat of Ablon and the Brotherhood of the Renegades and their subsequent condemnation to Haled.

**Purification Ritual**: Magical ceremony that condemns the spirit of a dead person to limbo, freeing them from suffering the souls that perished under his yoke.

**Primeval Battles**: Conflict between Yahweh and his archangels, on the one hand, and Tehom and his abyssal entities, on the other, for the supremacy of the universe, even before creation.

**Prey**: Two cherubs known for being valiant assassins in the service of the archangel Michael.

**Red Forest**: Woodland in central England, whose red-barked trees were extinct during the Middle Ages. In it, there was a vertex within which the fairies manifested themselves.

**Revolt of Sodom**: Uprising led by Ablon, the First General, against the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. The revolt resulted in the expulsion of the insurgents and their condemnation to Haled.

**River Styx**: River that runs through dimensions, functioning as a passage between planes of existence.

**Rune of Peace**: Piece of the monolith in the central square of Atlantis, whose engraved character means peace. It is the only material fragment left of the city.

**Sacred Relic**: Any mystical object created by God, angels, or demons.

**Samael, the Serpent of Eden**: Fallen angel and Lucifer's assistant. Also known as Satan or Satan, when an angel disguised himself as a serpent to tempt Adam in the Garden of Eden.

**Sanctuary**: Place on the physical plane where the fabric of reality is very thin, facilitating the manifestation of magical and mystical effects or interaction with spiritual entities.

**Satanis**: Order composed of noble, bureaucratic, and diplomatic demons. Many of them were elohim or seraphim before the fall.

**Seals of the Apocalypse**: Series of signs and prophecies that, associated with the disintegration of the fabric of reality, indicate the course of the Apocalypse.

**Seraphim**: Caste of noble angels and diplomats, considered the "bureaucrats" of paradise.

**Shamira, the Sorceress of En-Dor**: Necromancer called to Babylon to summon the spirit of Cush. His father was Greek; his mother, a Canaanite.

**Sheol**: Dimension where the remains of Tehom and the dark gods were buried. Later, it served as home to Lucifer and his fallen angels, becoming known as hell.

**Sons of Japheth**: Enemy tribe of the Babylonians during the reign of Nimrod. They captured his father, Cush, and executed him in a witchcraft ritual.

**Spiritual World**: Everything that is beyond the fabric of reality, comprising an infinity of planes of existence. The best known are the astral and the ethereal.

**Steel Bolt**: Sword of the angel Euzin, used heroically in many ancient battles.

**Succubus**: Female order of temptation demons.

**Temple of Harmony**: Gigantic marble hall in the Citadel of Fire. Conference place for ishins, later served as the residence of the archangel Gabriel during the civil war.

**Tenebris**: God of Darkness.

**Thales**: Greek merchant, owner of a small caravan that crossed the Silk Road.

**Thomas**: Monk and nurse in the English monastery near the Red Forest (1231 AD).

**Titus**: Henchman of the slaver Alexius.

**Trumpets**: Part of the series of signs of the Apocalypse. The celestials later identified them as the detonation of the seven human bombs that helped devastate the deadly civilization.

**Uziel**: One of the five archangels, patron of the cherubim caste, murdered by his brother Michael.

**Valley of the Damned**: Geographic region of Sheol where the Devil's cave is located and where the River Styx passes. It is also a place of punishment and despair for the souls of the dead.

**Vânia**: Leader of the archer regiment. Immediate in command after the archangel Gabriel.

**Violet Fire**: Flame used essentially to burn and mark runes or magical formulas on the spirit of the individual. Similar to green fire, but less harmful.

**Vertices**: Places where a planar intersection occurs. These locations exist both on the material plane and in the ethereal, enabling physical interaction between humans and spirits.

**Vortices**: Mystical connections that link the astral or ethereal plane to some parallel dimension (such as heaven, hell, or Arcadia).

**Wang**: One of the Chinese merchants from the city of Chang'an.

**Yahweh**: Also called Most High, Heavenly Father, Sleeping God, Shining, Luminous, Creator. The supreme God of the universe, asleep at the end of the sixth day.

**Yarion, Windwing**: One of the eighteen renegade angels.

**Zambil**: Cherubic assassin known as one of the prey.

**Zamir the Bright**: Also called the Sorcerer of the Desert. Initially master of the magical school of invocation, he was an advisor to Nimrod, architect of Babel, and one of the most powerful wizards known.

**Zanathus**: Order of demons that controls elemental forces. Many of them were ishins before the fall.

**Zandrak**: Largest dungeon in Sheol, with cells, torture rooms, and scaffolds. It is located in the tunnels beneath the Valley of the Damned.
