---------------------------------

Liam spent the next couple of weeks in a rehabilitation center undergoing recovery treatment. In truth, his injuries had healed completely after just a few days.

Liam's physical resilience was far superior to that of an average person, and with the help of various medicines redeemed through the system, his recovery had been swift.

Over these days, he and Garchomp consumed dozens of bottles of Moomoo Milk, fully healing their injuries. However, due to Bill's persistent insistence, they stayed at the center longer than necessary.

One morning, Liam sat on a bench by the battle field of the rehabilitation center, watching his Pokémon train.

His eyes rested on Garchomp, who had recently evolved, and then shifted to Arbok, whose body was faintly glowing with a golden hue.

He couldn't help but recall the data he had previously observed:

-----------------------

Garchomp had grown significantly stronger after evolving. His overpowered stats had been enhanced further through weeks of rigorous battle training.

By now, Garchomp had fully adapted to his new body.

If he were to face that colossal Dragonite again, it would no longer be so easy for the Dragonite to catch him.

While Garchomp's growth was remarkable, the most dramatic changes occurred with Arbok.

Since the last battle, Arbok's body color had gradually changed. Her once dark purple skin had taken on a faint golden sheen.

The change was subtle and only noticeable upon close observation, but the golden hue was undeniably present.

As for the reason behind this transformation, Liam had learned the details from Lulu.

During the battle, Arbok had been severely injured by the colossal Dragonite's Dragon Rage. When Lulu found her, Arbok was on the verge of death, her self-healing capabilities overwhelmed by the wounds.

Traces of blue-purple Dragon-type energy clung to her injuries, hindering Arbok's recovery.

Having no other choice, Lulu had infused Arbok's body with the Dragonite's spilled blood, along with a fragment of her own mysterious power in an attempt to heal Arbok.

This process absorbed and assimilated the Dragon energy into Arbok's body, allowing her to recover swiftly.

However, this also led to unexpected side effects—most likely mutational and beneficial—such as the changes in Arbok's appearance and her newfound typing.

-----------------------

Arbok's attributes had undergone a massive overhaul, with the addition of Dragon-typing, dual abilities, and unique egg moves.

If anyone else discovered this, she'd likely be taken away for dissection and research.

Liam remained vigilant about Arbok's health. Fortunately, she seemed to have no adverse effects and even delighted in her newfound strength.

Relieved, Liam decided to observe closely and take immediate action if any issues arose.

The cause of Arbok's mutation was most likely the combination of the Dragonite's blood and Lulu's mysterious power.

However, even Lulu couldn't fully explain the consequences.

As for the colossal Dragonite itself, Lulu revealed that she had released it after snapping it out of its berserk state.

The Dragonite had subsequently retreated.

Meanwhile, the system considered the mission complete, as Arbok and Garchomp's attacks had injured the Dragonite, leaving behind blood and shattered scales.

[Mission Completed: The Mysterious Unknown!]

[Rewards: 1,000 Exchange Points]

[Mystery Gift unlocked: Obtained Soothing Bell x1, Razor Claw x1, TM Sunny Day x1.]

The rewards were excellent and practical, but the cost of the mission had been too steep. Liam resolved to avoid similar risks in the future.

The ordeal had alarmed both Delia and Professor Oak, who nearly came to check on him. It took all of Liam's efforts to convince them of his recovery and promise to be more cautious.

Even Lulu scolded him for taking unnecessary risks.

Liam felt a pang of guilt; he could sense that Lulu had suffered considerable strain. When her true form would awaken remained uncertain.

Lastly, Liam obtained partial data on the Dragonite:

Pokemon: Dragonite

Type: Dragon/Flying Type

Species: Dragon Pokémon - An ancient species, the oldest of dragons still surviving from prehistoric times. Additional data unavailable.

Ability: Multiscale

Nature: Unknown

Gender: Male

Base Stats: ???

Moves: Hyper Beam, Fire Punch, Thunder Punch, Twister, Wing Attack, Dragon Rage, Dragon Tail, and others unknown.

Egg Moves: ???

Evaluation: Unknown! Insufficient data for a full assessment, but its strength is undeniable. Recommendation: Capture if possible.

-----------------------

The incomplete data didn't surprise Liam.

Despite having blood and scale samples, the system couldn't fully analyze the Dragonite's details. As for capturing it, Liam dismissed the suggestion outright—he'd go bankrupt just feeding it!

As time passed, a cool breeze rustled through the falling leaves.

Liam tightened his jacket against the chill and muttered to himself, "There's not much time left. I can't delay here any longer. It's time to move on."

"Big brother, are you sure you don't want to rest a little longer?" Bill asked hesitantly, fidgeting with his hands.

Liam chuckled. "I'm fine now. The League registration deadline is approaching, and I still need to collect the remaining badges. Once I've earned them, I'll come back if there's time. Keep in touch, alright?"

Bill reluctantly nodded. "Okay, but you have to come back! Oh, and I bought the land near the cliff on Cerulean Island. I'm planning to build a new lighthouse there and live in it. Promise you'll visit me someday!"

Liam was momentarily speechless, marveling at the sheer wealth of some people. "Sure, I'll come by when I can. Goodbye for now!"

With that, Liam mounted his high-speed bicycle, pedaled hard, and disappeared into the distance.
