Frost stared at me intently, her gaze inscrutable.
After a moment, she suddenly leaned down and planted a feather-light kiss on the corner of my lips.
I flinched, startled, and hastily pushed her away.
"D-d-don't mess around! Go home right now!"
I stammered, my face flushed.
Frost pouted, looking at me with a hurt expression.
"Zeke, I finally got to see you. Just let me stay a little longer... I'll sleep on the couch later, I promise I won't bother you..."
I sighed in exasperation.
Why was this woman so clingy?
But then I thought about her mental state, and I couldn't bring myself to leave her hanging.
After mulling it over, I resigned myself to grabbing a blanket and heading to the living room.
I let Frost have the bed.
Frost gleefully took over my bed, not forgetting to fuss over me before sleep, reminding me to bundle up and eat breakfast tomorrow.
I rolled my eyes at her and turned away, pretending to doze off.
