Frost's meaningful gaze made me feel like I was sitting on pins and needles.

I put on a brave face and met her probing eyes.

"I'm sorry, Teacher Frost, I... I have to go..."

Frost didn't say anything, just silently stared at me, as if trying to see through my thoughts.
