Master

"Ah enough of me," Katrina suddenly said, waving her hand. "What about you? What's so special about you?"

"What do you mean?"

"Come on, the way you carry yourself is not like other kids,"

"Well," Yamato suddenly felt shy. For some reason he felt the urge to boast to this alien woman. "I, well I am a fighter. Infact I am pretty famous in the street,"

"Really?" The woman smiled coyly.

"Yeah, see," Yamato lifted his hands and summoned his Astral weapon.

Katrina lifted an eyebrow. "Impressive, can I touch it?"

"Um... sure,"

Katrina caressed his gauntlets with two fingers then grinned. "How strange life is, so full of surprises," she said. Yamato didn't know what she meant but she next withdrew her hands and held it up for him to see. Suddenly golden scales appeared around her hands and solidified into metal gloves with sharp claws at the tip of the fingers.

"Shit," Yamato exclaimed in awe. Katrina's gauntlets - if you can call it that - was not bulky like Yamato's, but slender and flexible like just a part of her hands instead of an external thing.

"Yeah," she said flexing her right hand. "My Astral Weapon is a glove type too. Do you know what that means? Glove like Astral weapons are very rare, yet across realms two of us meet. Isn't this destiny?"

"I guess,"

"You want to spar?"

Yamato's eyes lit up. "You serious?"

"Yes I am, unless you don't want to then I won't force..."

"I want to, I want to!"

Katrina giggled. "Good then. Let's take it outside," The smile on on her face showed that she had said that to mess with him. She knelt before her daughter and told her something in their Alien language.

The girl nodded twice before Katrina rose back to her feet turned to Yamato, and said, "I'll go change first,"

Yamato nodded then sat back on his seat to finish his drink. Katrina returned dressed in a black skintight tracksuit that showed off her hourglass figure. Her red hair was tied in a ponytail giving one a full view of her stunning slender face. He hadn't noticed earlier but, Alien or not, Katrina is a dazzling beauty that made Yamato daze for a moment just from staring at her.

"Come on," She told him grabbing the girl's hand and headed out.

She didn't go towards the front door but led them to the backyard. The yard here was more spacious than the front's with many cut down trees at the edge of the forest proven that the space here was recently expanded.

Katrina first had Tila sit on the step before the door, told her something then rose and walked to Yamato who was already waiting in the center of the yard. "Summon your gauntlet," she said standing a few feet away from him. After Yamato obeyed she beckoned him over with a cocky hand gesture.

Yamato didn't just obey this time but said in confusion, "You haven't summoned your Astral Weapon yet,"

Katrina grinned. "I can take you without it,"

It is normally common sense to only fight an Astral weapon with an Astral weapon so Yamato was hesitant as he didn't want to hurt her. Yet he is no gentleman, but a true Street Fighter; he reasoned that since she has an Astral weapon she must know how to handle herself competently and probably knows what she's doing.

So he gave a shrug. "Fine. If I accidentally kill you, it is my misfortune I guess,"

Katrina lifted an eyebrow. "Kid has anyone ever told you not to be too cocky?"

"Aren't you the cocky one?"

"Am I?"

Yamato didn't like her reply but he decided it is unnecessary to say anything anymore. He kicked off the ground the next moment and threw a punch towards her face with the goal of catching her off guard and ending the fight. Anyway, worse case she can't dodge and he stops his fist inches from hitting her.

However as soon as his fist approached Katrina, she used a hand to brush his wrist aside, deflecting his punch with the clever move. Then she stepped in, close to him, and swept his feet off the ground with her leg. Yamato only felt the world spin around him for a moment, then he crashed on his back, on the ground, the next moment.

Katrina looked down at him with a playful grin and offered him a hand. Still somewhat disoriented, Yamato took the hand, letting her pull him back to his feet.

"Let's do it again," Yamato said immediately. He had considered the possibility of loosing, really, but never this fast. Worse she didn't even use her Astral weapon to defeat him so one-sidedly, so he desperately wanted to fix his reputation.

"Okay you can try again," Katrina said.

This time Yamato was more cautious. He closed the distance more slower than before and threw a probing jab, trying gauge her speed and reflexes while also ready to deal with any sudden attacks from her. But all that was useless in from of this Alien woman; Katrina didn't bother blocking the slow punch, she just lifted her leg and kicked out. Before his punch could reach her, her faster kick connected to his stomach, sending Yamato flying.

For the second time in less than a minute he was staring at the sky, wandering how he got bested. Yamato stood up his face burning in anger and shame.

Now he had enough of fighting pretty, he charged at her headfirst, planning on tackling her to the ground. The moment he reached the woman though, she stepped out of his way, to let him pass by, then kick him on the butt to send him face first to the sand.

This time Yamato got up calmly.

"Let's go again?" Katrina offered sadistically.

"No," He growled.

Katrina lifted an eyebrow. "You giving up after just a little bruising? Where's you pride as a man,"

"I am not giving up," Yamato dusted his cloths casually not showing any sign he was provoked by her words. "Do you think I'll continue giving you the chance to beat me up? I just don't see the point of fighting you if I already know I'll lose. Why don't you teach me?"

Katrina blinked. "Teach you how to beat me?"

Yamato glared at her. "No, teach me how to fight, who cares about beating you?"

"What a rude kid," Katrina pouted. "And why would I teach a little rude brat like you?"

Yamato gave it a thought. Finally though he could only sigh, "I don't know, but I'd be worth teaching.... I learn fast,"

"Confident are we?" Katrina chuckled. "Fine, I'll teach you. But you'll have to call me Master from now on and obey my words as law,"

"Sure Master,"

"Not bad for a fast learner,"

Thus that's how Yamato got a Master in an odd way. After that was settled Katrina, his new Master, told him she's busy at the moment and he should leave first, his lessons begins the next day after he gets off school. She also told him not to tell his friends or anyone about her which he agreed. Finally she gave him some cash and told him to buy her some stuff from the city and bring it to her when he's coming over tomorrow.

Yamato gratefully followed her instructions. Seeing how obedient Yamato is Katrina was secretly pleased but outwardly she pretended like it didn't matter either way.

After school the next day Yamato bought the groceries she asked for and returned to the old house in the middle of the woods. Inside the house Katrina had him sit at the table he sat yesterday as she checked the supplies. Satisfied she told him to go out back and wait for her.

In the yard Yamato took off his shirt so it wouldn't get dirty then did some warmups. His Master found him in the middle of some pushups when she came out. Unlike yesterday were she wore that tracksuit, she was still wearing a medieval dress today. A cute blue dress this time.

Katrina dropped a basket made out of vines on the ground and said something to Tila. The little girl gave her a sullen look then shook her head. But Katrina just grinned and showed her the lollipop Yamato bought today with the rest of the supplies. She threw it at her daughter's feet and said something again in the Alrer language.

'If you don't want to then I won't force you,' that's what Katrina said but Yamato couldn't hear.

The girl glared at her mother before picking the candy. Then she walked over to the basket and crawled in before Yamato's astonished eyes. Tila glared at him as if saying 'dare to laugh and see, Hmph!'.

"Now carry it," Katrina told Yamato pointing at the basket.

"Wait why?!" Yamato couldn't help but exclaim.

"If I tell you to do something, you do it without any hassle, that's what we agreed on isn't it? If you can't keep your word maybe we should just break off,"

Are we engaged that we'll break off? Yamato wanted to say but he finally decided it was unwise.

"I can do it," in the end Yamato agreed and walked over to the basket. Closer he was a little relieved when he noticed the straps that will make it possible to carry on his back.

"You might want to put back your shirt first," Katrina suggested.

Yamato put back his shirt then he picked the basket. With his Master's help he fit his arms into the straps. When he was done he was carrying the basket on his back like a backpack. The little girl was still curled up inside of course, which was weird, but no one really cared about Yamato's opinion.

"Perfect, now off we go," Katrina picked the bamboo hat she left by the door, wore it, then grabbed her spear. "Follow me,"

After locking the doors they set out. The three, two on their feet and one in a backpack, walked deeper into the woods. The woods in the Dragon park is well managed that Beasts could not be seen, however at times there are some anomalies were Beasts would sneak into these woods and even hurt people. That's because these woods connects to a real forest.

The Sirat Forest....

The Sirat Forest is not just any forest. It is a dangerous forest that encompasses a quarter of the Empire. Not just ferocious Beasts, as one of the Forbidden Zones in the Empire, the Sirat forest is believed to house monsters and demons. So Yamato was naturally nervous after walking for sometime when he realized that Katrina was leading them closer to the Sirat forest.

"Hey Master, you are heading to a dangerous area," Yamato couldn't stay silent anymore. He thought that since she's not a local she didn't know much about this place that's why he offered his advice. "I think we should stop here,"

"You mean the Sirat forest?" Katrina said in amusement.

"Eh? You know it?"

"How long do you think we are here?"

"You said six months...?"

"Yes six months," Katrina clicked her tongue. "How did you think we survived if we know nothing about you humans? How do you think I had the local currency I gave you to buy supplies?"

It was only after she said it that Yamato realized that something is not quite right. "So you go to the city? And you have not been found out?"

If it was the Capital or one of the High Cities of the Empire it'll be alright. But in Kreal city.... Not that Yamato was being dramatic but if Katrina goes into the city like this she'll definitely be in the news at all hours and those brothers and sisters online will be talking about her all day.

It won't end there, they'll be many self righteous fools that'll come to capture the Aliens! Yamato is human and that's why he's the one that knows humans the most! If Katrina's and Tila's identity as Aliens is exposed then they must leave this place quickly or they won't live long.

"How did you hide you identity?" Yamato asked.

"Not us, Veish handles that," Katrina replied. "He hunts in the Sirat forest and sells the game for money in the city. As for his appearance, he always covers his face. Most humans he meets thinks he's disfigured or something," she snorted in amusement. "I also cover my face and go to the city sometimes, that's how I learn about you humans,"

"Must be hard," Yamato said.

Katrina just shrugged in reply.
