The Many Faces of Aurora

Aurora Morales only felt something strange.

Soft! The man's lips could be so soft, sweet, with a touch of coolness and the freshness of mint. Alessia Rossi was right! As a love novice who had only been in one relationship and lost her first kiss somehow at the Peak Hotel, this kiss completely disoriented her, making her feel dizzy.

However... why did this kiss seem so familiar? She stared wide - eyed, stunned, and even forgot to respond. Looking at Ricardo Vargas who was so close, she didn't feel any repulsion. Instead, a strange sense of affection welled up in her heart. Aurora Morales secretly chided herself, blaming herself for being so spineless.

Ricardo Vargas was extremely satisfied with her reaction. He was convinced that he could give her a wonderful and unforgettable night. But unexpectedly, Aurora Morales suddenly bit him on the shoulder. A sharp pain hit him instantly, making him regain his senses. Aurora Morales showed no mercy and bit down hard. The smell of blood permeated through the thin shirt.

"ache——" Ricardo Vargas gasped. Looking at her trembling figure, instead of getting angry, he chuckled softly and said affectionately, "Silly girl, I scared you. Don't worry, I won't force you. Not until you're ready."

Aurora Morales let go of her bite and looked at him with tear - filled eyes. Ricardo Vargas didn't dare to look at her endearing appearance any longer and hurried into the bathroom. Aurora Morales lay in bed in a daze for a long time before slowly exhaling the breath she had been holding in her chest. She gently stroked her chest, feeling the violent heartbeat. Thump, thump, thump. Her heart was beating so fast that it seemed like it was going to jump out of her throat.

An hour later, Ricardo Vargas came out of the bathroom. He saw that Aurora Morales had wrapped herself up like a silkworm chrysalis, with only a few strands of hair sticking out. He lay down beside her and gently poked her. Aurora Morales gently shook her body.

"Do you want me to sleep naked all night?" Ricardo Vargas asked with a smile. Aurora Morales stuck out her head, her eyes bright and extremely cute. Then, she handed him a corner of the quilt. Ricardo Vargas grabbed it and gave it a hard tug. Aurora Morales uncontrollably bumped into his arms.

"You..." Before she could finish, Aurora Morales' hand touched his firm chest muscles, and her fingers involuntarily pinched.

"Satisfied?" Ricardo Vargas teased. Aurora Morales' eyes dodged. "Let me go..."

"Even if I let go, you'll still snuggle into my arms when you fall asleep. It's better if I just hold you."

"You're talking nonsense. I won't..." Aurora Morales lacked confidence. After all, when she slept alone, she often hugged her teddy bear for a sense of security.

"Let go." Ricardo Vargas released his hand. Aurora Morales moved towards the edge of the bed, almost falling off. Ricardo Vargas was not in a hurry. He closed his eyes and rested. Aurora Morales tried to stay awake, but soon sleepiness overwhelmed her, and she gradually fell asleep. Ricardo Vargas counted silently in his heart, with his arm casually placed. When he counted to one hundred, Aurora Morales turned over, and he smoothly pulled her into his arms. The movement was so natural as if he had done it countless times. The corners of his mouth unconsciously turned up.

Aurora Morales was awakened by the ringing of the phone.

"Aurora, when are you coming back? I miss you. I've made your favorite sweet - and - sour pork ribs." On the other end of the phone, Catalina López said gently. Aurora Morales lazily turned over and yawned.

"When?"

"Today is Saturday. You don't have to work, so it's just right to come back for a meal." Aurora Morales glanced at the clock and replied, "Okay."

Aurora Morales had great respect for Catalina López. Since she returned to the Morales family, Catalina López was the only one who didn't dislike her and instead cared for her. Aurora Morales often wondered why an outsider treated her better than her biological father. This was also the reason why she had tolerated Valentina Morales' provocations in the past. But her tolerance didn't bring peace. Valentina Morales became even more aggressive and even had an affair with Javier Fernández in secret, which made Aurora Morales unable to bear it any longer.

Aurora Morales washed up briefly and went downstairs for breakfast. "Where's Ricardo Vargas?" she asked. Don José replied respectfully, "The young master went out for something." "I'll go back to the Morales family later." "Yes, ma'am."

After breakfast, Aurora Morales took a car to the Morales family. As soon as she entered the living room, she heard the cheerful conversation of Diego Morales, Catalina López, and Valentina Morales.

"Dad, did you get the tickets for Leonard's concert in Westbrook city?" Valentina Morales asked eagerly.

"Of course. Whatever my precious daughter likes, Dad will get it done right away!" Diego Morales smiled and took out two invitations, handing them to Valentina Morales. Valentina Morales excitedly kissed him on the face several times. "Thank you, Dad! I love you so much!"

Catalina López gently suggested, "There are two tickets. When Aurora Morales comes, give her one. You two sisters can make up." Valentina Morales snorted disdainfully and nestled into Diego Morales' arms. "I won't make up with her. I didn't do anything wrong."

Catalina López gently chided, "You child. Now that you're with Javier Fernández, your sister must feel bad."

"What does her feeling bad have to do with me? It's Javier Fernández who doesn't want her. Besides, if she hadn't been fooling around with other men, Javier Fernández wouldn't have broken up with her. Right, Dad?"

Diego Morales' face turned displeased upon hearing this. He had always disliked Aurora Morales. If it hadn't been for the old lady making a big fuss before her death, he wouldn't have brought Aurora Morales back to the Morales family.

"Valentina." Catalina López whispered sternly, "Don't be so disrespectful." Valentina Morales made a face at her mother and stuck out her tongue.

"Dad, how long will Leonard stay in Westbrook city this time?" Valentina Morales asked again. Diego Morales thought for a moment. "Probably a week. Do you want to meet him?" Valentina Morales' eyes lit up. "Of course. I want to be his disciple!" Diego Morales laughed heartily. "She's my daughter. She's got ambition.!" Catalina López also smiled and said, "This child has loved playing the piano since she was a child."

When it came to this, Valentina Morales proudly raised her chin. "I got my piano level ten certificate before junior high school!" At this time, Aurora Morales walked into the living room. Valentina Morales glanced at her, arrogantly rolled her eyes, and didn't greet her. Catalina López stood up and said warmly, "Aurora Morales is back. Come and sit."

Diego Morales' smile disappeared instantly, as if Aurora Morales was his enemy. He looked behind Aurora Morales and asked in an unfriendly tone, "Why are you the only one? Where's Ricardo Vargas? You've been married for so many days, and he hasn't come to visit. What, did you forget your roots after getting married?"

Aurora Morales sat next to Catalina López and smiled faintly. "I thought as long as the money was in place, it didn't matter if he came or not."
