Chapter 7

Salah's night seemed to be terrible as this creature remained sitting on his chest so far. He couldn't stand it, so tried to make his voice heard to ask for help or seek refuge in God from this creature, but he did not succeed for a few seconds that seemed like hours until he almost suffocated. As soon as he was able to move, he quickly got up from his bed unconsciously, escaping from this evil spirit that did not only paralyze his movement and choke his breath, but he also felt it chasing him, so he started running from room to room until he stumbled on one of the chairs and collided with one of the tables, then his head collided with one of the walls and he fell to the ground. One of the vases fell on his head, smashing his face and blood filled the floor of the room when his wife reached him, running after him when she was awakened by the noise he made while he was rushing from his bed in his bedroom to the living room. As soon as she saw him lying in the middle of the blood, a lifeless body, her heart sank and she started screaming in great shock, not believing what had happened to her husband, who had suffered a seizure similar to an epileptic seizure that led him to not controlling his emotions, so his steps faltered and he collided with this table that was causing his blood to flow while a short small thing stood in a corner of the living room, a shadow like a ghost of eyes full of hatred, revenge and blood, laughing with extreme happiness.

Salah’s wife did not see that demon sitting in the room at its dark corner. She sat next to her husband’s body, crying and regretting her husband until she heard the sound of her neighbors knocking on the door of her apartment, so she rushed to open the door in the hope that someone would be able to save him, but no way, his matter was over forever, otherwise this short female ghost would not have left him, who disappeared when the neighbors entered Salah’s apartment.

Engineer Salah's death was unnatural according to the neighbors, some of whom called the police to look into his death before burying him, when the police came one of the officers asked engineer Salah's wife some questions to hear her testimony while waiting for a medical report that would accurately explain the causes of death after examining the death site and transferring the body to Luxor General Hospital. After a short period, permission was given to bury the body without accusing the wife of anything noteworthy. The police did not find anything that would warrant accusing her of anything, so she returned to her home after several days, hardly believing everything that had happened to her and her family in the blink of an eye. She returned to her home to renew her sorrows and pains once again whenever she remembered everything her husband had suffered a few days before his death. She did not know what he had done to make him die like this, afraid and terrified of something she did not know, just as her husband did not know well and was not certain of it. Salah never thought that his work as a dealer or merchant in the ancient Egyptians remains or monuments would cause his death. He never thought that the princess would make panic to him until death.

Two days later, Mansour came to offer his condolences for his friend, whose death had come as a great shock to him when he heard the news. After he offered his condolences to his wife, he told her about the money his friend had on the same night of his death, hoping to offer her some comfort after her husband’s death. He felt at the time that the matter was shocking and surprising to her, as the money he was telling her about was very large and Salah had never owned it. However, she merely smiled faintly before Mansour asked her permission to leave after leaving her a paper with his address where he lives and his work address at the Railway Authority in Luxor in case she needed anything.

After Mansour left, She started to think about that large amount of money her husband Salah owned that night, he didn't tell her about them, may be because he was late that night or may her husband didn't tell her anything about that fortune he collected from wrong ways as it seemed to her. Only now she started to think that the man she lived with for about 12 years had another face she never knew. Whatever it was she needed that money and searched the whole apartment for them, but couldn't find them as she couldn't find the secret of her husband’s death. She had known then that her husband had a lot of money and buried it away from her for some reason, it might be because of fear not to be accused of bad things or because he didn't trust her. She had to search and find that money her husband’s friend, Mansour, had confirmed it existed and came specifically to be a part of it.
