We sat around the campfire, enjoying our meal in peace when a faint sound broke the silence—a subtle rustling, barely audible, but enough to put us on edge. Our eyes scanned the darkness, and soon we spotted several pairs of red eyes glowing ominously from behind the trees. The atmosphere shifted instantly, our senses sharpening with the knowledge that our target was near. We didn’t move, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

“If you keep eating, you’ll become food for these wolves,” Raven warned, her voice cutting through the tension. “Weapons out—be ready. We can be attacked at any moment.”

No sooner had she spoken than a wolf leapt from the shadows, barreling toward Zarek with deadly speed. Raven’s reflexes were lightning-quick; in one fluid motion, she drew her sword and met the beast mid-air.
