As I walked toward the exit, a strange feeling settled in my chest—something was wrong.

I stopped in my tracks, scanning my surroundings. Towering trees loomed over me, their dense canopy blocking most of the sky. The forest, which had once felt familiar, now seemed endless and unrecognizable. I pulled out my map, but the realization hit me like a punch to the gut.

Panic crept in. How could this happen? I had been through this forest before, yet now, no landmark, no trail, nothing looked the same. It was as if the forest itself had shifted, trapping me within its depths.

"Shit… where's the damn exit?" I muttered, frustration lacing my voice. "I should’ve brought a compass."
