As I stepped past the dungeon gates, an overwhelming darkness swallowed me whole. It was unlike anything I had encountered before—thick, suffocating, unnatural. Even with my enhanced vision, I could barely make out the jagged stone walls that surrounded me.

A damp chill settled over my skin, and the air smelled of old magic and decay. The dungeon was ancient, untouched for centuries, its secrets hidden in the abyss.

Tch. This won’t work. I needed light—something reliable that wouldn’t burn out or expose me to hidden traps.

Raising my hand, I activated one of my lesser-used abilities. Monster Creator.

A surge of mana left my body, swirling in front of me as I shaped it into small creatures—about the size of cats, with round bodies and stubby legs. But their most important feature?
