"You’re right," Kaito said finally, his voice a low growl. "This is just the beginning. They’re out there, waiting. I can feel it."
"Then what will you do?" Morrivha asked. "You’ve become a god, Kaito. But even gods fall. You can’t fight this battle alone."
Kaito turned to her, his blue eyes hard, unyielding. "I don’t intend to fight alone. You’ve already given me everything you have, and that’s more than I could ever ask for. But now... I need something more."
