Chapter 17

She turned on the lights to her room. The bright glow lit up the whole space. She felt relieved to be home again. She walked up to the window and closed the curtains. It was nearly dinner time. She didn't prepare dinner, yet. It was two more weeks until the end of school. At such busy days, she wondered where Dani was. They were going to leave and he wasn't showing up. She took out her phone and wrote, "Hi, just wondering what you've been up to. Why aren't you showing up at school?" Last time she visited him, he seemed to be fine. His hair was messy, as if he had been very busy. He hadn't contacted them for a few days. It was worrisom for her, Chloe didn't seem to notice. She was very busy socializing with other classmates. Ian is keeping to himself at the moment. There was not much she knew about Dani. He had been home for a long duration. She didn't want to surprise him with her visit, but in the end, her anxiousness won the battle.
