Chapter 26

A few people were scurrying in town. She weaved her way through the crowded street and tried tosearch for Chloe. A stage was placed in an alleyway and big speakers were set up on the sides. There were a lot of people gathering in front of the stage. The road was packed full. She took out her phone and dialed Chloe's number. It ringed a few times before the other end picked up. "Hello?"

"Hi, I arrived at the event, but I don't see you."

"I'm at the gates, maybe you missed me. Come out of the audience and you'll see me."

Stella walked through the difusing place and saw a figure leaning on the fence. She waved happily, but Chloe didn't respond. She was still on her phone. She walked up to her and placed her hand on the highest bar. "Just a minute," Chloe muttered. She stared at her phone and tapped send.

"Shall we go in?" She asked. "I'm done."
