The Hidden Forest and Bajakah's Secret

Deep in the rainforest of Kalimantan, Mayang is accompanied by a small team, including Isa and Mei, for a survey of the remaining Bajakah population. The journey is dangerous, as the factory has already started aggressive extraction operations, sending workers and guards to secure the area.

The sky is overcast as Mayang pushes her way through the dense vines of the forest. Isa, a local Dayak guide, moves ahead, cutting through the brush. Mei follows closely, gathering data on the surrounding vegetation. Isa whispered, glancing back at Mayang. “We have to be quick. The Battras’ men are setting up camp close by. If they catch us here...”

Mayang nods, her heart racing. They reach a small clearing, where several Bajakah vines twist around ancient trees. It’s a sight of both beauty and despair. The plants are untouched, but not for long.

Mayang examining the Bajakah. “This is all that’s left... If we don’t act now, it’ll be gone in weeks.”
