Roots of Resistance

Titi Dwi Arni crouched in the underbrush, her heart pounding as she watched the Syndicate convoy pass. Her small team of eco-activists waited for her signal, their makeshift weapons ready.

"Remember," she whispered into her communicator. "We’re targeting the equipment, not the drivers."

Beside her, Rhea adjusted her grip on a crowbar. "Let’s make it count."

The convoy halted as the lead truck hit a spike strip. Titi’s team moved swiftly, disabling the vehicles and setting fire to the construction equipment. Within minutes, the site was in disarray.

At a Syndicate hideout, Feng Bao reviewed the damage reports with a scowl. "They’re getting bolder," he muttered.

"We need to send a message," Jun Tao said, his voice cold. "No more half-measures."

Feng Bao nodded. "Agreed. Find their base and destroy it."

Later that night, Titi’s group celebrated their victory in a hidden forest camp. But the mood shifted when a scout ran in, breathless.
