You Knew Me Before

The final cargo hold of the high-speed train, overlooking the snowy Alps. The rhythmic hum of the train echoed through the dimly lit cargo hold. Snow-covered peaks blurred past the reinforced windows, a stark contrast to the chaos unfolding inside. The containment pod, once pristine and impenetrable, lay in ruins—its shattered glass and steel framing a lone figure standing amid the wreckage.

A girl, no older than thirteen, stood barefoot on the cold metal floor. Her silver-white hair framed unnervingly golden eyes, unblinking as they locked onto Bintang. A sense of wrongness hung in the air, thick and suffocating.

She tilted her head. “I remember you.”

Bintang’s grip on his sidearm tightened instinctively. “That’s impossible. We’ve never met.”

The girl took a step forward, unfazed by the shards beneath her feet. “Not in this timeline.”
