Chapter 6

"Hey hey look at her", Amelia panicked moving away completely from Bruce, she cleaned her lips like she had just been caught stealing chocolate from the fridge or something of the sort

But no it was just a simple kiss, a kiss she deeply loved and wanted more of even though it was wrong, and even though Violet was her good friend and almost best friend

A confused Bruce looked outside just to see Violet staring directly at the detective, and she didn’t look like someone who was coming for an interrogation but he kept on believing that, for the sake of their relationship

"She's probably here for an interrogation since she came later yesterday night", Bruce said trying to make himself look presentable, Amelia had opened a few buttons of his shirt and also wrinkled it making him look disheveled

"She could have seen us", Amelia said frowning, she felt disgusting, she wasn't the type of friend to kiss her friend's guy, and she certainly wasn't the type to make out in a car randomly especially with someone she wasn’t even dating, someone who she didn’t even know if she could date

"Let's just go, is that ok?", Bruce asked looking at her worried, he knew she had a very tight conscience which won’t let her do anything wrong to anyone without feeling so bad she’d have to confess

"Yeah but wait",she said looking at Violet and the detective heading towards her without his usual outfit, he looked like he was going out,he didn't have his holster or police jacket anymore, what he did have was a huge smile playing on his lips

Bruce looked towards them too, but he didn't know what he could do, but pray and try to believe Violet wouldn't cheat on him,she couldn't right?, she loved him

As they both kept looking Violet Kissed the detective on his lips, she was clearly the one to make the first move here, so they couldn't say he forced it on her or that it was unexpected for her

"I need to call her", Bruce said not tearing his eyes away from the scene in front of them,he may have not loved Violet but he still had deep feelings for her, very deep feelings which made this scene hurt his little poor heart

He brought out his phone and dialed Violets number, finally looking away from her and the detective who was holding her hands, while saying som words

After a few seconds she excused herself from the detective and went somewhere private to answer the call

"Hey babe", she said like she hadn’t done anything wrong, she was such a good liar and actor

"Where are you?", Bruce asked, he tried to play it cool, but he just couldn't,his voice was breaking every now and then

Amelia knew exactly how he felt, she felt sorry for him but he really couldn't judge Violet, he just did the same thing a few minutes ago

"I'm sorry I'll have to cancel shooting practice but I'm in a serious meeting right now, my boss is angry and all", She played it cool, little did she know Bruce had seen her, how could she lie like that

"That's cool babe, Amelia won't mind I think", with shaky hands he cut the call

"She's definitely cheating on me", he said lowly, how could she?, after all the affection he had shown her

All Amelia could do was to put her hand over his and say

"I know and I'm sorry but you just did the same thing"

"I was going to tell her but it seems hers has been going on for a while now, it all makes sense, this was why she never followed us to the police station, she didn't want people to know"he replied harshly which made Amelia flinch

Bruce hit his car hard

"Wanna confront her?", Amelia asked, she didn't know what to say nor do to help her sad friend, tell him it would all be alright?

"Not now, I may punch that dumb bag next to her, I'm to angry to talk", He replied angry, his pupils were dilating too fast

"Can you drive in this state?", I mean she cared about her safety to, love couldn't save her from a car crash if it occurred and so she had to think smart

"Yeah", as he put the car in reverse he moved out of the parking lot and towards the road

Then he moved the gear to drive and he drove really fast, like race track fast

"Slow down please", Amelia said holding on to her seat belt

He drove to their house, their house which was situated in the rich parts of the country

As he got to the gate of the house he put the code to open the gates and then the large gates were opened and he drove inside

He didn't even bother getting it to the garage or park it properly before getting down

And so Amelia followed suit

When they got to their shared room Bruce fell face flat on the bed

"It doesn't really hurt you know", his muffled voice said

"But why did she cheat, why not just tell me"

He sat straight and looked into Amelia's eyes

"Ask yourself the same question", then she sat beside him

"Its not ever easy", he then hugged her tight

"I'll call her you guys need to talk", Amelia said then got her phone out and sent a quick text before calling her

"Hey Vee", She said immediately Violet answered the call

"Hey Lee, I want to talk to Bruce today about something serious so could you like get him, I'm sure he's close by, he always is", Violet didn't mean to sound bitchy but sometimes she couldn't help how she felt

"Hmm sure"

She looked at Bruce who shook his head rapidly as a sign saying no

"Actually he went out and he didn't even tell me", she said into the call

"When he comes back please tell him I'm coming over, 10pm sharp, oh and did you want to say something", Violet asked

"Never mind, just if you wanted to hang tonight"

"I doubt", Violet said then cut the call

"Maybe she wants to break up with me", he said lowly which got Amelia pissed

"Maybe you should make up your mind who you want", she replied then left the room to her personal room

As she kept texting random friends and family she didn't notice someone in black had entered her room with a knife and was ready to stab her

She sensed someone behind her back which led her to turning around...
