Chapter 20

It Was Him.

The guy she kissed.

I froze. No. Way.

Of all the people I could run into in this situation—it had to be him?

“What?! YOU?!” My voice came out in shock, my mind racing. He was the last person I wanted to see.

He smirked, that same confident, frustrating smirk. “Well, princess, happy to see me too?”

I felt my face heat up against my will. Damn it, why did he have to be so… so annoyingly charming?

“Hey, I don’t care who the hell you are,” one of the burly men interrupted, cracking his knuckles. “Me and my boys are taking this girl. You can’t stop us.”

My heart pounded in terror. The way they looked at me made my skin crawl. I didn’t even want to imagine what they were planning.

The guy let out a slow chuckle, stepping forward lazily. “Oh, silly me. I forgot to introduce myself.” His tone was light, but his eyes? Cold as ice. “And by the way—” his smirk dropped as he tilted his head, “you and your boys aren’t touching my princess.”
