A Growing Crowd

However, selling tofu pudding for just six days could match a month's wages from the construction site!

Rong Xuelan was so excited that she counted the money twice more.

After confirming the total, she carefully stored it away, planning to deposit it into her bank account.

The next day, Rong Xuelan prepared an extra pot of tofu pudding and stocked up on toppings.

When she arrived at the night market, she saw a crowd gathered in front of her usual spot.

The two boys who had bought tofu pudding from her stall the previous night spotted her from afar and shouted, "She's here! The boss is here!"

Rong Xuelan was startled and got off her tricycle while carrying Dou Dou on her back. "Are you all here to buy tofu pudding?"

One of the boys replied, "We brought four bowls back yesterday, but when the guys from the neighboring dorm came over and smelled it, they almost started a fight over them."

He pointed at the dozen or so young men behind him. "To avoid another fight, I decided to bring everyone along today."

Rong Xuelan quickly unloaded the small stools and folding table from her tricycle.

She hadn't prepared seating yesterday, so many people had to eat standing up, while some even took seats at the neighboring cold noodle stall.

With a smile, she said, "Thanks for the support! Have a seat, and I'll start making tofu pudding for you."

Soon, an amusing scene unfolded at her stall: a dozen young men sat on the small stools, craning their necks and watching her every move intently.

When a bowl of tofu pudding was ready and brought over, they began to argue over it:

"I was here first!"

"I'm the eldest brother; I should go first."

"I'm the sixth brother; you should all let me have it!"

...

After a small "battle," the bowl of tofu pudding finally landed on the table.

The boys ate quickly.

Many of them weren't satisfied with just one bowl and went back for a second, trying the other flavor.

In just ten minutes, Rong Xuelan had already sold over 20 bowls of tofu pudding.

A while later, five or six boys appeared nearby.

Leading the group was the boy with the buzzcut hair who had been his first customer yesterday.

Recognizing her, Rong Xuelan greeted her warmly, "Hey, little brother, are you coming back for more tofu pudding today?"

"Wow~~" the boy's companions erupted in inexplicable cheers.

Rong Xuelan was confused, not understanding what they were fussing about.

The boy's face immediately turned bright red as he nodded and said softly, "We'd like six bowls: three savory, three sweet."

While preparing the order, another boy leaned in closer and said, "Hey, beauty! You're so good-looking! Although Xueba had told us, but I didn't believe him."

The boy with buzzcut hair's face turned an even deeper shade of red.

He whispered urgently, "Wang Hei!"

It was the second time Rong Xuelan had been complimented for her looks by a boy.
