"I will not apologize to this girl, not in this life," Nishal said.
" We didn't ask for your opinion." Naksh scowled at him, walking beside Janvi.
"And I am not obligated to follow your words." Nishal glared at Naksh.
Aahan roared while clenching his fist, "JUST APOLOGIZE."
Mrunali was taken aback, almost jumping in her seat as she heard Aahan's words. She was surprised because he had always spoken in a calm and cold manner, never raising his voice before.
Nishal, visibly infuriated, gritted his teeth before managing to say, "Dream on!"
Vedika, attempting to diffuse the tense situation, tried to downplay the seriousness of the matter by saying, "Guys, you're making a big issue of this. It's just a mistake."
Naksh scoffed at his sister's words, " We're not asking for your husband's kidney, little sissy. Just a small apology."
Then he turned towards Nishal with a big cunning smirk on his lips, "Or is it too much to ask from him?"
"Ohh I'm sorry! It's our mistake, we thought you knew some basic manners." Janvi mockingly said.
"You should stop them," Mrunali whispered into Pihu's ear, who was busy eating her food like nothing happening there.
"Twin, I'm really not in the mood to hear: 100 reasons - why Naksh is better than me," Pihu replied without even taking her eyes off the food.
"Huh?" Confusion is clearly clouded Mrunali's face.
"First, if I were to step into a conflict, I would undoubtedly side with Janvi, even if it escalates to a heated argument. If I try to intervene with Nishal, it's pointless because he won't listen. Lastly, if I were to stop Naksh, it would lead to a new argument between us. If all this unfolds in front of my Dad, he would lecture me on respecting my husband. Therefore, it's probably best if I don't get involved."
Mrunali's mouth formed 'o' as she nodded her head in understanding.
"Guys, it's too much. You can't talk to him like that." Vedika stands in front of her husband.
"Why? Your husband's lost the ability to speak, that's why you're defending him." Naksh mocked.
"Jealous much, huh!" Nishal said with a smirk.
"What?" Naksh said still glaring at him.
"Jealous much that, your mouthful wifey is not supporting you." The smirk on Nishal's face increased more when he saw Naksh clenching his fist.
The spoon fell from Pihu's hand, hearing her name. She looked up at Nishal, with a glaze which said "Don't dare to do anything stupid."
But Nishal is Nishal! He found the key to satisfaction. So he was not going to let go at that moment.
"Or maybe you both, " he pointed at Janvi and Naksh before continuing, " Should learn, How to keep your mouth shut from her."
"STOP DRAGGING HER BETWEEN THIS," Naksh shouted.
"Why would not?" Nishal's words are dripping with a sly tone that suggests he knows exactly what he is doing.
"Because this fucking matter has nothing to do with her."
"You were just asking for an apology from me a few seconds ago, but the real question is, have you ever apologized to her?"
After receiving no response from Naksh, Nishal grinned in victory and continued with his conversation.
"You always seem to cause problems for her and never offer an apology. No one has forced you to apologize to her, so why does that rule change for me?"
"It's our personal matter," Naksh said staring into the soul of Nishal.
"I can see that there is too much personal thing between you too," Nishal's words are full of sarcasm like there was some hidden meaning behind his words.
"What do you mean?"
"We all know that she is a stunningly beautiful and successful woman, yet you don't seem to have any respect for her. Is it possible that your hatred towards her is fueled by envy of her success or are you concealing something behind your hatred? Or could there be something wrong with
her -..."
The sudden scraping sound of a chair being pulled back cuts him off mid-sentence. The abrupt noise echoes around the room, making everyone tense.
Pihu was the one who stood from her seat in a fit of anger. She throws Nishal a withering glare, her eyes full of disgust.
"Be careful with your words, Mr. Tripathi, I'm not only a mouthful wife but a successful surgeon too. " Pihu said while clutching a fork in her palm indicating if he talked more shitty nonsense she would stab him.
But Nishal already fixed his goal, which was breaking Naksh Agnihotri's pride.
As the room fell silent, everyone's attention turned towards Nishal, who was now the centre of attention. Janvi, Aahan, and Mrunali stared at him with piercing eyes, their expressions filled with hatred and disgust. Nishal, on the other hand, seemed unperturbed by their hostility and simply shrugged his shoulders casually, as if he was used to such reactions. His nonchalant gesture only seemed to fuel their anger, making the atmosphere in the room even more tense and uncomfortable. Despite this, Nishal remained calm and composed, like he didn't question someone's character a few seconds ago.
"You're really a piece of shit!" Janvi spat.
"It's not my fault, Naksh's personality of being a playboy but not flirting with his own wife raises my curiosity about the Pihu character-..."
The room was suddenly filled with a loud bang that cut off Nishal's words. It was Aahan who had slammed his hand on the table in an outburst of rage, directing his hostility towards Nishal. The intensity of his anger was palpable and it made Mrunali and Vedika feel uneasy. They could see the pure hatred etched on his face, and it was clear that he was not in a good state of mind.
"WATCH YOUR FUCKING MOUTH, WHEN YOU TALK." His words are full of hatred.
"Why?" Nishal responded.
'Is he fucking idiot or he doesn't love his life? Who asks these types of idiotic questions when the lion is roaring in front of them.' Mrunali whispered to herself.
"I must remind you, first and foremost, that it's not appropriate for any gentleman to question the character of any lady. Secondly, the person you're doubting happens to be the daughter-in-law of the Agnihotri family. And last you're spatting nonsense." Aahan's words were filled with authority and a hint of disgust.
Mrunali was sitting in shock at Aahan words. This is the longest sentence of Aahan she ever heard and most important, it's not his usual calming tone but a hateful one.
"Being daughter-in-law of Agnihotri family doesn't mean she is pure by past." Nishal retorted back, not aware of what was coming for him.
Pihu's eyes widened with fright as her confidence gave way to fear. The atmosphere around her seemed to darken as something ominous appeared before her eyes. Meanwhile, Aahan's face contorted with anger, his fists clenched tightly at his sides. In a sudden burst of fury, Aahan lunged forward and grabbed Nishal by the collar, pulling him close in a threatening manner. The air was thick with tension as Aahan's eyes bore into Nishal's, daring him to make a move. Pihu stood frozen in place, unsure of what to do next.
"Aahan," "brother" these names echo into the room.
"Don't... I said DON'T fucking dare to ever repeat what you said today. SHE IS PURE and stuff this in your nutshell head. We don't care about her past, if there was or not, Now her identity is as Mrs Pihu Agnihotri, Wife of Naksh Agnihotri and daughter-in-law of the Agnihotri family - A successful surgeon in the country, and head of the Department of Neurosurgery of Agnihotri Hospital. So Mind your fucking language before talking, or I will forget who you're for this family."
Aahan eyes were burning in anger. He was looking furious in anger like an untamed beast.
"Brother, what are you doing? He is my husband. RESPECT HIM," Vedika shouted while attempting to separate her brother from her husband.
"Respect?" Aahan scoffed while letting go of Nishal with force which made Nishal stumble back a little.
"He is your husband, so you want us to respect him and talk politely but when he was talking shit about your bhabhi, you were standing there like a statue. Don't you remember respect word that time?" Aahan shouted at Vedika. She was stunned by her brother's behaviour. She never sees her brother shouting at her.
" She is blind in love, brother. She lost her ability to differentiate between right and wrong." Janvi said while glaring at Vedika because she was unhappy with her behaviour.
"Still, she is loyal to her husband, not unlike your brother who is defending other women instead of her fiance," Nishal said between his gritted teeth while pointing at Aahan.
"Stop hiding behind women's names. Be a man and face a real man." A voice boomed in the whole mansion.
The voice is calm and collected like the ocean- peaceful but can be dangerous when wanted.
This voice came from the gateway of the mansion.
"And I think this matter has nothing to do with you." Nishal spat in the direction of the man who was walking in the direction of them.
The man who just entered in hall bowed to every elder in respect with a polite smile on his face, Then turned Nishal while stuffing his hands into his pocket.
"Shivay Singh Wagh never tolerates voice and finger raised for women, especially favourite ones." His eyes shifted from Mrunali to Janvi.
He winked in Janvi's direction with a smile while Janvi rolled her eyes at him.
Introducing Shivay Singh Wagh, a young and ambitious 27-year-old man who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wagh and the elder brother of Mrunali Wagh. Shivay is a man with a bright future ahead of him as he is going to be the Co-CEO of Agnihotri's Hospital, taking over from his father.
What sets Shivay apart from others is not just his stunningly handsome looks but also his kind and gentle heart. He is a true gentleman in every sense of the word and is known for his caring and compassionate nature. His personality is such that he can light up any room he walks into, and his infectious smile can make anyone's day.
Shivay is not just a green flag but a whole Amazon forest. He is the dream boy of every girl.
And last important thing about Shivay is that he is a childhood lover boy of Janvi. He has always has a heart eyes for Janvi. With his charming personality and caring nature, it's no surprise that Shivay has won the hearts of everyone who knows him except Janvi.
"Brother" Mrunali spoked before hugging Shivay tightly.
"How are you, tiny one?" Shivay asked.
"I'm not tiny one." Mrunali retorted.
"Yeah! I can see that," He let out a laugh, seeing Mrunali glare at him.
"You came back?" Mrunali.
"Permanently" He gave brightest smile to her which make Mrunali's face lit up.
"When did you reach here? Why didn't you inform us?" Mrunali asked her brother.
"I've been here from the start when this man started making things instead of saying sorry." Shivay replied pointing at Nishal.
Before Mrunali could speak further, their sweet moments were distributed by none other than - Nishal.
'Please, someone change his name from Nishal to Annoying shit.' Mrunali thought to herself.
"I didn't hide behind women. I just said what if it's a possibility. It could be true...-"
Nishal was suddenly pushed against the wall with great force by Aahan. As Aahan's fist was about to land on Nishal's face, he stopped halfway upon hearing his sister's words.
"BROTHER, IF YOU TOUCHED MY HUSBAND, FORGET THAT YOU HAD A SISTER."
Aahan hit the wall instead of Nishal's face in anger. Janvi and Mrunali ran beside Aahan backing him away from Nishal while Vedika stood in front of her husband.
"Enough is enough, brother. How can you raise your hand on him?" Vedika shouted.
"He deserves that." Aahan said still glaring at Nishal.
"He didn't, You're overreacting. When brother Naksh, didn't have any problem or say anything. Then why you?" Vedika said pointing at frozen Naksh.
Mrunali's eyes frowned at Vedika's question. She looked at Aahan who was fuming in anger like a beast who wanted to tear apart his enemy and then her eyes shifted to Pihu who was standing in her position like a lost person.
As far as Mrunali knew, her twin was capable of beating the shit out of anyone, then why she is looking lost and silent? And why Aahan was this much angry? What are they both hiding?
Mrunali came out of her thoughts by hearing Janvi's voice,
" This is how you're going to defend his sick mentality. "
"I know, he was wrong but still brother is crossing his limits. Nishal is the son-in-law of this family." Vedika said.
"If he wants to disrespect Daughter-in-law of this family, he can leave this house," Aahan said.
"If you want him to leave this house, I will leave with him." Vedika said confidently while directly looking into her brother's eyes.
Nishal was taken aback by the unexpected behaviour of his wife. He had never imagined that she would go against his own brother to support him. The realization of her unwavering loyalty and love for him made his eyes soften with admiration, and a feeling of warmth spread through his chest. However, he managed to maintain his calm demeanour, not wanting to show his emotions too openly. Despite the tumultuous emotions raging inside him, he tried to keep them inside.
With his commanding voice, Mr. Agnihotri ordered everyone to halt in their tracks. "Girls, head to your room! Boys, remain here!" The force of his words left no room for argument, and no one dared to challenge his authority.
Mrunali was the last one who leave the hall, her eyes once again shifting between Aahan and Pihu, murmured to herself,
"What's the relation between you two?"
