Chapter 6

"Hey Anna, who are we waiting for? You know I have class tomorrow, so I can't be late again," said Naim, looking impatient.

"Can you be quiet? Just wait, they'll come," replied Anna, slightly annoyed.

"Alright…"

"Yo!" A voice came from behind them. Both turned around.

"Aliff!!!"

"What are you doing here?" asked Naim, surprised to see Aliff's presence.

"I'll join today," Aliff replied calmly.

"What?!" Naim looked at Anna with questioning eyes. "Hey Anna, what did you do with him to make him want to join us?" he whispered quietly.

"I didn't do anything," answered Anna with a shrug.

"I thought you weren't coming," Anna said to Aliff.

"I was reading a novel earlier, it made me forget," Aliff said calmly.

"So, where are we going now?" Aliff asked, trying to change the topic.

Naim suddenly stepped forward and hugged Aliff tightly. "Aliff, I'm happy! I'm happy!"

"Yes, yes, can you let go of me now?"

"Oh, okay," Naim replied as he released his hug.

"How about we go to the abandoned house in the middle of the forest," suggested Anna, explaining their plan.

"Hey, Anna, do you mean the house where we got scolded by that old man?" asked Naim.

"Exactly," replied Anna.

"Aren't you afraid the old man is still in that house?"

"Why should we be afraid? Aliff is with us," Anna replied.

"Hmm, you're right. Alright, let's go," said Naim.

After walking for a few minutes, they finally reached the abandoned house.

"So, is this the house we're going into?" asked Aliff.

"Yes," answered Anna.

"Then let's go in; there's something in this house," Aliff thought to himself.

They entered the abandoned house, greeted by a dark and silent atmosphere.

"Aliff, is there something in this house?" Anna asked.

"There is," Aliff replied calmly.

Suddenly, without any footsteps, a creature appeared and leapt at Aliff.

Aliff blocked the attack with both hands.

The creature looked human-like but had a destroyed face, oozing blood, and angry eyes.

"Aliff!!!" screamed Naim and Anna, who were behind Aliff.

"Ohh, wait, isn't this the person who scolded us a few days ago?" said Naim.

"Huh! You're right, it's the person who scolded us for entering this house, but how did he end up like this, like a zombie?" replied Anna, covering her mouth with her hand.

The creature emitted a foul odor.

"It seems you're a creature that can kill humans without them knowing. After you kill the human you want, you enter their body and control them, am I wrong?" said Aliff calmly while blocking the attack with his hands.

The creature suddenly got angry and kicked Aliff hard in the stomach, but Aliff didn't budge or move an inch from his spot.

"Unfortunately, you're too weak. I'll show you how to kick properly," said Aliff.

In a flash, Aliff's foot was already on the creature's chest, sending it flying out of the house.

"Wow!!! My friend is amazing!!!"

"Hey Naim, are you recording this?"

"Yes," replied Naim, holding a slightly trembling camera.

Aliff walked out and approached the creature.

"Come on, get up. Don't tell me you're tired after just one attack?"

The creature started to stand up, staring at Aliff with hateful eyes.

Naim and Anna now ran towards him, and they were behind Aliff.

"Hey Aliff, why can we see this creature? Weren't you the only one supposed to see it?" asked Naim, confused.

"Before you came, Anna actually told me that you could see creatures that can't be seen by ordinary human eyes," Naim explained, still shocked.

"That's because the creature itself wants you to. They can make themselves invisible to you two. They can make you see them whenever they want. That's what they are," Aliff replied calmly.

"But why does the creature seem so angry with you, Aliff?" asked Naim, still hesitant.

"Because it knows I can see it and because I also insulted it earlier. That's why it's angry," Aliff replied, his eyes focused on the creature.

While they were talking, the creature attacked Aliff quickly, sending him flying into the dark forest.

"Aliff!!!" screamed Anna and Naim simultaneously.

"Hah! I'm fine," replied Aliff from the forest, as he quickly got back up.

But suddenly, the creature was already near Aliff, attacking him once more.

"This creature… is quite strong," whispered Aliff, dodging the attacks rapidly.

"But… if I said weak, it's still weak."

Suddenly, Aliff was already behind the creature. His speed was so fast that no human could see it; Aliff's speed had surpassed human limits.

Naim and Anna were now in the forest, watching Aliff's fight with the creature.

"Hey, did you see that, Anna? I can't even see Aliff's movement; he suddenly appeared behind the creature,"

"Yeah, impossible for a human to have such speed. It seems Aliff is no longer at a human level."

"So, does that mean my best friend is no longer human? Is my friend now a superhero? Isn't that cool? I want to be a superhero like him too."

"Shut up, fool, just watch the fight," said Anna, annoyed.

"Alright," replied Naim.

Aliff raised his foot and placed it on the creature's head, making it fall to the ground, surrounded by smoke.

"Cough, cough, cough."

"What happened?" asked Naim and Anna, covering their mouths, as the smoke was so thick they couldn't see anything.

"Yo!" Suddenly Aliff was behind them.

They both screamed in surprise.

"Why did you suddenly scream?" Aliff asked, confused.

"Who wouldn't scream when you suddenly appear from behind without a sound!" they shouted at him.

"Oh, sorry about that," replied Aliff.

"Forget about it. By the way, where's the creature?" asked Anna and Naim.

"The creature? Do you mean this?" Aliff showed his right hand in front of their faces, holding the creature's head.

Their eyes went blank, and they screamed again in front of him.

Aliff covered his ears.

"What's wrong with you two?"

"You ask what's wrong? Get that thing away from us!"

"Alright, alright." Aliff threw it away.

Just seeing the head of that creature makes you scared; what if you meet creatures far stronger later? Aliff thought to himself.

After that, they finally calmed down.

"So how's the recording, good or not?" asked Aliff.

"I don't know either. How about we go home first? I have to wake up early tomorrow. If I'm late again, I'm dead with my teacher!!!" said Naim.

"Alright, alright, let's go home. By the way, Aliff, thanks for joining us," said Anna with a sweet smile on her face.

Aliff and Naim were surprised to see that smile; it was the first time they saw it on her face.

"Hey, bro, I think Anna likes you," Naim whispered in Aliff's ear.

"Don't talk about useless things now," replied Aliff.

"What are you two talking about?" asked Anna.

"Huh! Nothing," they both replied.

"Really? Well then, let's go home," they said as they walked towards their homes.

But Aliff suddenly stopped; he felt something watching him not far away. Aliff looked around cautiously.

"What's wrong, Aliff?" asked Anna, seeing Aliff suddenly stop, making her unable to help but ask.

"Nothing," replied Aliff.

"Well then, let's go home."

"Yeah," replied Aliff as he resumed walking.
