Dying for the sake of love.

" Alexa I don't know why it is like this but ever since we parted ,I have been thinking about you everyday which passed. And I always hoped that we can meet again. I couldn't understand why I felt like that by then but when we met again, I finally understood why I always thought about you. Alexa ,am really in love with you and I want you to be with me for the rest of my life but I don't know if you also want the same thing as me".

" I would also like to be with you but I can't ".

" But why can't you be with me?,do you have someone else?"

" No. But if I decide to be with you. I will ruin your entire life so I think we should stay as we are and don't think that I don't love you. I loved you ever since you joined my company but I failed to tell you because your mind was on Cindy ".

" But am on you now Alexa. I love you as you used to love me".

( Alexa gives Alex a kiss).

That is what I can give you and nothing much. Please find a person that you will grow old with I cannot do that for you".

( Alexa walks away).

( The next day at work).

" Why did you say that you cannot grow old with me,do you have something you hide from me?"

" No,of course not, but you see women like me change all of a sudden once we get what we want".

" So,what do you want?"

" I always wanted to see a man who can fight for me,a man who can love me not because of my money but because I am me and I got it. You took my side when Cindy attacked me ,four months back you stood Infront of the people and you tried to save me from getting married to a fraud. That is all I wanted from a man and you did it. So ,my dream finally came true and now,I don't need you anymore in my life." But why?" "All men are liars,there words cannot be real. And I don't think your are".

" But you said that you loved me from the day I joined your company and you always loved me".

" I used but those feelings died long time ago".

" You're lying, you're lying".

( Alexa feels headache and dizzy).

" Wha - what's wrong with you? Are you feeling well?"

" Can you help me and get my medicine from my bag".

" Wait a moment am getting it ".

( Alexa faints in Alex's hands before he gets the medicine).

" Alexa! Alexa! What happened to you now ?"

( In the hospital).

" Are you related to her?"

" Yes".

" Why didn't you bring her for surgery for the past months?"

" What do you mean?"

" Don't you know? She has been coming here every two years for surgery. She has a disease called ventricular septal defect. This disease cause a hole on a person's heart ,she is remaining with a month on earth if we don't get a heart for her. The worst thing is we failed to get a heart which matches her blood type".

" What is her blood type?"

" She is blood type O negative people with that blood type , it is not easy to find a donor for them".

( After sometime,in the room).

" So ,this is the reason why you said that you cannot grow old with me? But I want to be with you. Do you think that if you told me I would have left you? Do you really think am like that?"

( Alex tells Alexa while she is unconscious).

" Mother,mother".

" You're awake!"

" Alex,why are you here?"

" You fainted at the office so I brought you to the hospital ".

" I bet that you now know everything ".

" Why didn't you tell me? You shouldn't have lied to me".

" I wanted you to hate me so that you can never want to love me or stay with me. I want you to be in a good life".

" But do you know which good life I want to be in. You're my good life ,I can't live in a good life without you by my side".

"You can and you have to. In a month you won't be in this situation anymore.

Am going to find a heart for you before that one month ".

( Alexa smiles at Alex ).

( After three weeks, at Alexa's office).

" Why did you come to work? You're not well,I can manage everything here at the office".

" Don't worry about me am okay and am doing well".

" Look at how you're paled and you're saying that you're fine".

" Am tired of staying home ,I miss doing office work".

" See,you need enough rest ".

" I have no use to rest after all am going to die so what is the point in resting".

" Stop saying that you won't die as wrong as am here".

" So can I stay here and wait for you?"

" You can but don't do anything,do you promise?"

" Hmmm ".

( At Alex's home).

" Don't get worries, tomorrow you going to receive a new heart and you won't have to suffer anymore".

" But how did you find the donor ,we tried for a long time and we failed but in just three weeks you managed to get a donor".

" May be am lucky".

" Who is that donor I want to meet him and thank him".

" He said that no one should know about him that his identity should stay between me and the doctor ".

" Oh,if you see him please tell him am so great ful for what he has done for me".

" Okay I will tell him ".

( The next day,at the hospital).

" You shouldn't be scared. Everything will be alright".

" If my heart transplant is done please be the first person I should see".

( Alex smile at Alexa ). " The transplant will begin in 5 hours from now but I need to have a word with you Mr Alex". ( The doctor tells Alex and Alexa).

" Okay doctor. Alexa I will be back".

" Are you sure on what you're going to do?" ( The doctor asks Alex).

" Yes,doc. You just make sure that the surgery goes well after the transplant tell her what I told you ,don't tell her anything before she gets well".

" Okay, that is all what I wanted to say. You can go back now".

( Alex comes back to Alexa ).

" What was the doctor saying?"( Alexa asks Alex ).

" Nothing much he was saying that the donor has reached and I need to go and receive him. But before I go, I need to say something".

" What is it?"

" If one day you wake up and don't see me on your side, at that time maybe I would be dead. Please always remember that this silly me will always love you no matter where he is. And he will always give himself for your sake".

" Why are you saying that ?You're acting as if you're the one going for an operation ".
