Chloe's face twisted with fury as she continued ranting, her voice growing louder with each breath. "You expect me to just accept this? To smile and pretend like nothing happened? Do you have any idea how humiliating this is for me?" Her hands flailed in frustration as she paced back and forth.

"Chloe, calm down," he said firmly. "You're overreacting."

"You just postponed our wedding because of—"

"This has nothing to do with Valentina in the way you think."
