Emma thought her life was going to take a dark turn, one that would never see daylight again. All these she thought when her stepfather used her as collateral to pay off his debts. 


Expecting to meet a cruel old man that would strangle her all night, and lend her off to men at daytime, but instead she was faced with something else, something she couldn't quite understand.

Emma wanted to hug Olivia but Olivia was presenting her hand instead. Emma couldn't help but accept Olivia's handshake.

"It's such a long time. Where have you been."

Emma couldn't help but ask after shaking hands with Olivia. Olivia just to be her defender in school. She helped her against bullies and also other school related issues. In turn, Emma helps Olivia with her school work, helping her study more in areas that Olivia was having difficulties with.

They were tight friends back in university days, but after the last day of school, Emma never saw nor heard from Olivia again, she thought something had happened to her, but seeing Olivia now, Emma could tell that she was okay back then.

Olivia said as she broke the handshake. She immediately introduced the man standing beside her.

"This is my boyfriend, or should I say my fiancee, Elias Johnson.

He works in Dreamway company. He is the manager of the branch here in Autumnvale."
