Raymond was on his knees, his hands clenched together so tightly that his knuckles had turned white. His head was bowed, desperation carved into every inch of his trembling form.
"Zane, please—please forgive me," he choked out, his voice breaking. "I—I swear, I won't do it again. I promise—I swear on everything, I won't do it again!"
His forehead nearly touched the floor as he lowered himself further, his breath ragged.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I didn't know—I really didn't know! Please, please, just forgive me!"
His hands gripped the hem of Zane's trousers, his body shaking as he continued.
"Please, Zane, I'll do anything! I won't ever do it again! Just—please, forgive me!"
His voice wavered, the weight of his own words suffocating him.
He couldn't stop. He wouldn't stop.
"Zane… please… I was wrong! I was so wrong! I swear, I'll make it right! I'll do anything you ask!"
Still—Zane said nothing.
