Lin Yuan looked at him sharply. "Go on."

Xu Wei adjusted his glasses. "There's an override sequence embedded in the Architect's original code. Your father left a contingency—something that could strip external control but allow it to remain operational under one condition."

Rei raised an eyebrow. "And that condition is…?"

Xu Wei hesitated. "A direct link. Someone would have to bind themselves to the Architect, permanently. No turning back."

Lin Yuan adjusted his gear, feeling the Core's hum against his chest. "We go in fast and quiet. Get to the Architect, and execute the override."
