"Are you crazy? Had the lion been hungry, it could have eaten you. They even eat other lions if the situation demands, you are just a human," Nicolas shouted at Amara while holding her arms tightly.

"I know but thankfully, it wasn't hungry. I am alive, see," she passed him an innocent smile.

He just kept on staring at her like she got some death wish. He could still his heartbeat racing like crazy.

"How can someone be this clueless? I told you to wait for me then why did you come here all by your own? Couldn't you have wait a little more for me?" His worries have converted into anger, ready to pour on Amara like rain.

Amara just kept on standing there with her head down and eyes closed.

She was looking at her fingers, trying to unheard what the Alpha aka Nicolas was saying yet his dominating words reached her words either way.

"You sure have the luck of thousands of angels to survive this but always remember that if something like this occurs again then never risk your life and don't even try to go near the lion's mouth. It will just bite off your hand and chew the bone out."

Amara nodded her head after understanding the graveness of the situation.

"I am going to be more careful from next time."

"Like there's going to be the next time," he said pushing his hair back.

It's not like she wasn't scared. She was scared to the bones. She went in front of the lion to save it with the mindset that she was probably going to die today unless a miracle happens.

She knew that if the lion was hungry, it won't hesitate to eat her. Even though they don't enjoy the taste of human meat but as said, the situation demands.

"Why are you here in the first place? I am sure that you don't know your way out. The forest is so big that you would probably lose yourself unless you know the way out. If you wanted to come here then you could have waited for me to take you here."

"Well, I actually don't know the way out and lost myself."

"Of course, you lost the way," he muttered under his breath, still trying to control his anger.

"We should go back to the pack house," Nicolas said holding Amara's hand.

Amara's eyes widened at his actions. He was being super touchy. Not that Amara minded this. She kind of liked his touch, hence she would let him touch her.

Even though it was only their hands touching, Amara could feel herself growing warm with every passing second.

The warmness coming from Nicolas's body was making her feel warm. Her tummy filled up with warmth at his caring nature.

Nicolas on the other hand didn't realize his actions as he was busy thinking about her safety.

Nicolas knew the forest like the back of his hands. Hence, they came out of the forest sooner than Amara expected.

Nicolas then realized his actions and left Amara's hands before clearing his throat.

"You shouldn't have gone there alone. You could have taken me with you,"he repeated his words.

"Why did you have to go there in the first place?"

"I wanted to see the waterfall. Those kids said said that it's beautiful," Amara said playing with her fingers.

She couldn't gather the courage to look into Nicolas's eyes.

Nicolas kept on looking at her without blinking his eyes.

He had a look of disbelief plastered on his face.

He guessed that those kids were the reason why she went there but he was still hoping that she has some brain but she ended up proving him wrong.

"You are stupid. Whatever, we will be visiting the forest again in a few days. You can join us if you want to," Nicolas said looking away.

"And why would you visit the forest?" Amara asked.

"For hunting. We will be going to hunt down in a few days."

"We will be going to hunt down in a few days.."

Amara's eyes widened at the thought.

"They are going to kill a lot of animals tomorrow. I must go with him. I would try to save them at least," Amara thought before nodding her head.

"Words."

"I would love to go with you," she smiled cheekily.

"And try to stop you from killing animals," she thought in her mind.

"Now go back to our room and come clean yourself. I have some work to do and I will be joining you soon. Don't go somewhere else again without informing me," Nicolas said before going to the opposite side.

He didn't bother sparing Amara another glance. While, Amara on the other hand, kept on staring at his disappearing back.

"I got so wet and dirty," she thought looking at her dress.

She mentally thanked herself for wearing this dress and Nicolas, for giving her this dress. Had it been a white one, this dirt would have been more visible.

She ran back to their room. She changed her dress and cleaned herself up.

The whole day, she was sitting in their room. Nicolas gave her food but other than that, they didn't talk at all.

Soon, it was night and Nicolas was sleeping besides her.

She suddenly woke up.

"It's raining. God created summer and later created Rainy season as an apology," she chuckled while looking outside of the window.

The Pitter-patter sound of the rain was as clear as it could have been. Even though, she wasn't able to see the rain.

She decided to take a rain shower in the dark itself.

She was hesitating about going outside in the rain but decided to follow what her heart says.

"We only got one life. Do what the fudge you want to do," she encouraged herself before lightening up a candle.

She looked at Nicolas who was in deep sleep. She knew that he was going to get angry again but she was too enchanted by the rain to care about him.

With the help of the candlelight, she managed to reach the garden.

She looked outside with cautious eyes.

The darkness engulfed the atmosphere, the candlelight being the only source of light.

She kept the candle to a side carefully before walking into the rain.

She had never taken a night rain bath before. Hence, it was a whole different feeling for her.

It seemed like a whole new vibe and she enjoyed it fully.

Soon she started shivering in cold. She started feeling like Nicolas was looking at her.

She looked at their balcony and noticed that he wasn't present there.

Deep inside of her heart, she wanted him to be here as well but she wasn't going to accept it by herself.

After being done, she decided to go to the bathroom to take a bath.

Water was dripping down her body. Hands cold and wet, holding the candle.

She was also wearing a white dress.

Had someone seen her in that state, they would be forced to think that she was a ghost but she was the one who ended up jumping in fear.
