While the alpha was doing his thing, the entrance door would open and a smaller pink-haired man dressed in Bermuda shorts, boots, and an oversized purple t-shirt would enter.
He scanned the room and when his gaze fell on William, he smiled from ear to ear. Placing his arms behind his back and then heading towards him, his smile turned into a foxy one.
As he walked he received one or two whistles along with some compliments murmured in a low voice that he heard perfectly. But everyone fell silent when they began to realize which table the boy who expelled omega pheromones was going to.
The man, who looked more like a boy, calmly slid over to the table where the most dangerous alpha in the room was sitting next to him and waited patiently while he silently recomposed himself.
The omega's patience lasted 5 minutes.
"A coin for your thoughts?" -the pink-haired man's slightly mocking tone would make the black-haired man sigh-
"You're late" -William would glance at the omega with slight annoyance- "Is everything in its place, Deimos?"
The aforementioned nodded enthusiastically, leaning forward excitedly putting his elbows on the table, and leaning back.
"Yep… the platinum white-haired grace is in Dulce's sanctuary… when you give the signal we start with the matchmaking plan"
"Deimos"
"What?" -the omega would step back a little shrugging his shoulders with feigned tiredness- "Look, I know I shouldn't keep insisting on this, but knowing that your current target of affection doesn't belong to the same kind of world as us… it seems logical to me to prepare things from the first moment so that when everything explodes in your face the blow isn't definitive… because you know that sooner or later she can find out."
"…" -William would remain silent for a few moments weighing the omega's words, surprised that they not only had the same thought but that he was prepared for it- "I am aware of the risks... but I cannot allow myself to falter in this. I cannot go into details, I can only tell you that Erika means more than you can imagine" -the alpha would fix his gaze on the omega beginning an exchange of glances that would last a while until one smiled ending the confrontation-
"Meh, enough for me" -Dimos satisfied with what he saw would get up stretching his arms- "just make sure that whatever you do you don't screw up... you are the most decent boss I ever had and I would hate to lose you because of some silly alpha impulse"
"Please Pertant don't insult me like that. Just because I share part of my hierarchy with arrogant idiots and overexcited idiots doesn't mean I'll act like one"
"Wow, calm down cowboy" -the omega would wink- "I was just saying… remember that the same type of blood as your aunt runs through your veins"
"The difference is that she doesn't even try to control herself while I don't have that kind of impulse or need" -the black-haired man mocked, crossing his arms- "(for the moment)"
"Whatever you say. I'll go ahead and go keep watch outside in case something happens, anyway, I think I've made my bodyguard wait long enough… he must look like a kicked puppy standing alone outside" -Deimos would look towards the door with some amusement and a bit of sadness mixed in-
"The idiot is still angry about what happened with the singer who came from Kansas?"
"Yeah… it seems his wolf still can't forget how that omega was making eyes at you"
"That's stupid. What's my fault that an omega ignores a beta, who never approached her to exchange even the time of day, noticed me?" -William would take a sip of whiskey while closing his eyes- "and we didn't even sleep together, we just had a couple of drinks while we discussed the possibility of her performing regularly at the bar"
"That's why I said stupid alpha impulses" -Deimos would walk away chuckling-
"(And that's why you like to provoke them)" -he would think without even having to see the pink-haired man to know that while he walked he swayed his hips on purpose- "(you love to show them what you have tempted them knowing that they can't touch a hair on you)" -the last thought would make him shake his head slightly not knowing whether to feel amused or disgusted- "Bentral"
"Sir?" -the blond-haired alpha would end the conversation he had approaching his boss-
"Go with Xander to the back and get ready... the time has come"
"Right away sir. Do you want me to send someone to watch the street?"
"There's no need, Deimos is already doing it" -the Aballay would put aside his empty glass next to the half-finished bottle of whiskey while he stood up from his seat straightening his clothes-
"Don't you want us to go with you sir?" -Xander tilted his head questioningly-
"No need, just go with Bentral and make sure no one interrupts me" -William slipped between the tables saying goodbye to some people on the way, and went through the door reaching the street standing in his place looking seriously towards his target waiting for a signal-
While he waited he heard a series of steps coming from the alley next to the bar, without turning around he reached out took a large box, and then grabbed it with both hands carefully examining the outside, checking the condition of the package and making sure it was not damaged.
"Did you have any problems or setbacks getting it?"
"Outside of the terribly pathetic attempt at flirting by the alpha who was taking orders none" -Dimos snorted placing his hands on his hips- "the coast is free. There is only her in the place"
Clutching the box to his chest a little, William privately regretted the fact that he couldn't affect the omega like he did the rest. While he admitted that interacting with someone other than his family who treated him like a normal person was nice, there were times when he wished he'd act more seriously for longer periods of time and not just in intervals.
"(Let's do it)"
