As Lugh left the room, Loki watched the strings of fate from his throne and tugged at one of them, Sirius'.
Sirius felt his blight fester in that moment and he realized with agony that once again the woman he had been tricked into bonding with was in distress.
"It's not my fault!" He cried out in pain. As a god, his blood bond with Maeve caused him a bruise where he had hurt her. His hickey on his neck where his true fated mate had nipped him.
Every time Maeve was upset it would fester because she was supposed to be his disciple but she hated him.
"Please make it stop!" He cried out, the huge misunderstanding as he had never touched his true wife ever since his mix up with Maeve. But she was so far away she must believe he had every time she felt him happy.
His blight in that moment moved across his chest, making his breathing labored, it had been a month of festering and he had been unable to do anything about it. Her blight now festered at the fear of abandonment, Maeve was afraid of rejection.
Now Saoirse was mad at him too, his true wife, his most trusted disciple was being forced to endure his distance. Saoirse's pain caused blights on both arms. Bruises snaked up each arm but he didn't know why, whatever he had done to her arms, he had done in his past life.
"Maeve please…..calm down." He tried meditating and in that moment, like he usually did, he sent her feelings of love from Luan dark, the anime character she liked so much. He thought of her plants.
But Maeve recieved those feelings and was offended. Luan, Lugh, how could she ever love again?
Men were wicked, evil creatures to her now.
She knew Sirius must be trying to manipulate her feelings. What did he need to resort to Luan dark for?
She retaliated by his blight growing larger, filling his chest and back now, a desperate situation for sure!
He cried out and cried out as waves of agony washed over him.
In the same moment Loki tugged at his strings of fate, dark magic transferred to Sirius' subconscious as a memory of a lesson from school came back to him.
He called out as Saoirse came into the house. Once again she sighed and went to clean up his mess in the kitchen of blood bags and ice that he used in his moment of onset of this flare up.
He didn't have strength to clean it up himself and he didn't have time to feel bad either for he needed his true wife in that moment.
"Saoirse!" He called out, his vampiric abilities peaking in power as his draconic beast inside of him awoke his memory of a rune he could use to unbond with Maeve for a month.
She came alarmed into his bedroom to find him coughing up blood on the bedsheets and his whole body half consumed by Maeve's dispair. And hers. She hadn't known about hers.
"Sirius!" She cried out. "What happened to you?!"
He was dying.
She was knealing next to Sirius and he managed to take ahold of her hand to comfort himself. He cleared his head as best he could to avoid angering Maeve and it seemed like she hadn't noticed yet that he had done it. Or she hadn't gotten upset. Perhaps she was sleeping?
"I have to bite…" He said in a strained voice.
He clasped her hand harder in his in that moment and pulled her closer and moaned in pain.
Bite..." Sirius said again pleading Saoirse to come closer as if he needed to whisper something into her ear.
"What is it?" She asked leaning her ear towards his face. Her pregnant belly between them, like always, consistent since whenever he had slept with her before his reincarnation.
He opened his eyes and they were ravenous. She was about to pull away, startled, because she had never expected that, but he reached up and grabbed her shoulders, pulling her abruptly closer to him and his fangs suddenly got longer as he said, "I need to bite you."
Saoirse tried to pull away again in panic, "what are you talking about-" she shrieked. But it was too late, he sunk his fangs into her neck and began pulling her blood from her vein.
Maeve felt in that moment as pure pleasure filled Sirius.
"Oh no! He must be sleeping with that other girl again, he must be, can this day get any worse?!" She cried out. Unaware what he was really doing was to relieve her of her pain.
Saoirse couldn't pull away, she felt a sensation come over her like she wanted to give him all of her blood and not hold back. It was a feeling of submission that made her love him even stronger than ever before and she couldn't describe it. His lips pressed against her neck as if he were kissing it. He was being so gentle, no longer holding her there as if he didn't need to.
As soon as Sirius drank blood from Saoirse, his blights began to fade away, his skin becoming clear again, leaving only the bruise at the spot where it originated.
Then Sirius retracted his fangs enough to make them smaller like little pricks and began pricking them repeatedly into Soairse's neck, making gentle movements and guiding her body a bit so he could approach the spot from different angles. His red eyes focused.
Then he let her go and fell back onto the bed tired.
"It's the vernets segl." Sirius said to his wife as his eyes— now their normal red, opened slightly. "It means the seal of protection. I can keep your blood inside of me until it wears off and it will hold back the blights for a bit so I can try to break this bond.
"now the only bond that will affect me is yours." He said. "I can only do it once and it doesn't last forever. We can only hope we get to Maeve and Vali before they become more angry. If they can't feel me now and I can't feel them, then we have to be careful that the blight doesn't come back worse than it was before. Abandonment is a dangerous thing."
Then he fell asleep. Exhausted.
Saoirse fell asleep too, slumping to the floor.
In that instant, Maeve felt pleasure and exhaustion and then nothing.
Feeling nothing meant that Sirius had mated with his wife didn't it? But not only that, she felt he had cut her off this time. That meant his wife had conceived as far as she knew.
Of course she was wrong, Saoirse had conceived in her past life; but If Maeve was mad before, she was madder now.
"He basically divorced me." She seethed. "Without even coming to rescue me!"
She stood up and walked to the door and banged on it with anger.
"Lugh!" She yelled ferociously. "You wanted to be my lover then here I am! Get over here!"
