Eva sat stiffly in the lavish room. Her eyes fixed on the mirror, which reflected her figure, a constant reminder of the engagement that was about to take place. She felt suffocated by the opulent decorations and the stifling air of expectation that hung heavy over her. Her heart was racing with anxiety, her mind screaming in protest against the union that had been arranged for her.
Just as she thought she couldn't bear it anymore, The door swung open, revealing a middle aged woman. A smile plastered on her face.
Her aunt, Sophia, swept into the room. Eva's eyes widened as she took in her aunt's striking appearance. Sophia was dressed in a bold red dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, accentuating her confident and bold demeanor. Her dark hair was styled in loose waves, framing her heart-shaped face and highlighting her bright, sparkling eyes.
Sophia's lips were painted a deep crimson, and they curved upwards in a warm, genuine smile as she approached Eva. Her eyes crinkled at the corners, and her whole face radiated a sense of warmth and kindness. Eva felt a wave of relief wash over her as Sophia enveloped her in a warm hug.
"Hey darling," Sophia said, her voice husky and soothing.
"I'm so glad I made it on time. You look stunning, as always." Eva felt a lump form in her throat as she hugged her aunt back, feeling a sense of gratitude and comfort that she hadn't experienced in a long time. Sophia had always been her confidante, her partner in crime, and her rock. And now, as Eva faced this uncertain future, she was grateful to have her aunt by her side.
As they hugged, Eva felt a sense of calm wash over her. Sophia's presence was like a balm to her frazzled nerves, and she knew that with her aunt's support, she could face whatever lay ahead. But as they pulled back and Sophia's eyes met hers, Eva saw a flicker of concern there. Sophia knew her too well, and Eva knew that her aunt could see the doubts and fears that were swirling inside her.
Sophia's smile grew wider as she gently touched Eva's cheeks.
"Ready to run away, darling?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with mischief. Eva's eyes widened in shock, and she felt like she'd been punched in the gut. She knew her aunt would save her, but she never thought it would be like this.
"W-what...?" she stuttered, her voice barely above a whisper.
Sophia's smile faltered for a moment, and she looked around the room cautiously before leaning in close. "Yes, darling, that's the only way we have," she whispered urgently.
"We don't have enough time to waste on trying to convince your parents or the groom's family to call off the engagement. We have to take matters into our own hands."
Eva's mind was reeling, but she trusted Sophia implicitly. She knew her aunt would never steer her wrong, and so she nodded hesitantly, but a sense of determination rose up within her.
"Okay, let's do it aunt, I'm ready," she said, her voice firm.
But as she looked around the lavish room, she felt a pang of concern.
"But how?" she asked, her brow furrowed. "The whole resort has high security. We'll never make it out undetected."
Sophia's smile returned, and she winked at Eva.
"Leave that to me, darling," she said. "I've been planning this for weeks. We'll make our escape during the chaos of the company's success party. It's the perfect distraction."
Eva's eyes widened again as Sophia's words sank in. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her aunt had been planning this all along, and she was ready to risk everything to save her. A surge of gratitude and love filled Eva's heart, and she threw her arms around Sophia's neck.
"Thank you, Aunt .. thank you" she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
Sophia hugged her back, holding her close.
"We'll get through this together, darling," she whispered. "Now, let's get ready to make our escape."
Telling Eva to wait a few more times, Sophia went to the place where the party was taking place. As a popular psychiatrist she is well known to many people over there. But Eva's mom's face didn't look pleasant seeing her one and only sister.
As the sun began to set, the luxurious resort was buzzing with excitement.. The atmosphere was electric, with champagne glasses clinking and laughter filling the air. Eva's parents walked onto the stage. Everyone's gaze turned towards both of them. Utilizing the situation Sophia went back to eva.
"Eva, darling, come.. it's time to go," Sophia said, her voice low and urgent. "The party is about to start, and we need to make our move."
Eva turned to her aunt, a look of uncertainty on her face. Sophia walked over to her niece and took her hands in hers.
"Eva, darling.." she called, her eyes locked on hers. "You're strong and capable, and you deserve so much better than this arranged marriage. And you know what your heart is craving for. Now, come on, let's get out of here."
Sophia quickly helped Eva to wear a denim jacket over her engagement gown. She removed the jewelry and let down Eva's hair, transforming her from an elegant bride-to-be into a casual, carefree young woman.
As they made their way to the staff entrance of the resort, Eva could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She had never felt so alive, so free.
When they reached the entrance, Sophia stopped and looked around cautiously. Then, she nodded to someone in the distance. Eva followed her gaze and saw a guy sitting on a bike, wearing a black jacket and gloves and a mask. He looked like a mysterious stranger, and Eva felt a shiver run down her spine.
Sophia walked over to the guy and hugged him tightly.
"Take care of her, son," she said, her voice low and urgent. "She's counting on you. And I trust you." Sophia patted on his shoulder.
The guy nodded, his eyes locked on Eva's. Then, he turned to her and handed her a travel bag.
"Everything you need is in it," Sophia said, seeing Eva's confused face.
Eva took the bag, feeling a sense of excitement and trepidation. She looked up at her aunt, who was smiling at her with tears in her eyes.
"Thanks, Aunt," Eva said, her voice trembling.
Sophia hugged her tightly.
"It's nothing, darling," she said. "Now, go. Make a life for yourself. Be happy."
Eva nodded.
she caught a whiff of something familiar. It was the scent of lavender, and it brought back memories of her childhood. She looked up at the guy, who was watching her with an intense gaze.
"Let's go," he said, his voice low and rough.
Feeling a sense of excitement and uncertainty she nodded.. She got onto the bike behind him, wrapping her arms hesitantly around his waist as they sped off into the night.
