CHAPTER 18
It's been a week since Roxanne returned back to the country and her life has been going smoothly, but she was still investigating the case of Mr. William secretly but she still hasn't found a single clue which made her mood darken sometimes but most of the time she is always fine and also meet up with her friends. She realized one thing through the files that Mr. William had a bounty on his head in the underworld and has been almost assassinated many times but was always protected well by his guards and he missed being killed by sometimes using his tricks to save himself. When she checked the files carefully and also realized that the killer must be someone he trusted and had let his guard down around that person. Mr. William was not complety burnt but we realised he was shot through the head and it seemed like the bullet was removed before being left in the fire to burn his dead body. It's like the person was very carefull and even his communication was limited to work and had not contacted anyone outside which when she looked into the communication records that was kept by Mr. William corresponded to only two people, the dead guard and another one who claimed to have no family members or friends to call or to talk to which seem suspicious to her.
Her café was doing okay and she had no problem and most of the time she is always home due to no work since the cafe is always being taken care of by her employees.
She decided on spending a lot of time with her friends to clear her mind and to stop thinking about the case which have not given her a pieceful sleep in a long while so she went for a sleep over at Leila's house to destruct her and clear her head to avoid over thinking when she was alone which happened so often. She spent a lot of time at Leila's house and even christina joined them later. They watched movies almost all the time, talked about life and even made jokes about each other which seemed to liven the moods of the people living in that house. The joy they brought to ech other was what made the neighbors to envy them since they seemed like people who were worry free and enjoy life even if dirt was thrown their way they seem to over come them easily as long as they are together.
There friendship is what made them who they are through the support they offer to one another. When Roxanne returned back to her house she seemed to have figured something out she asked herself that what if the guard never died but it still never made sense since thee was a second body in the house. Her alabis never seem to work so left it at that because they couldn't find anything about the guard so she just slept over it because as she told her self dead people can not speech and they have to find a target who can help them through the investigation and offer protection or anything they wanted since most humans are greedy by nature and never gets satisfied.
