My name is Sarah Kesak, I come from a long linage of blacksmiths. My old home back in Sindra, I had very bug sized family. I had 7 older siblings, me being the youngest of course and a mother and father who in loved each-other to the very edges of Sindra.
But of course... such things never last does it?
When I turned 11, me and my family were travelling to the continent of Endeia to help the Anax order to research weaponizing of leviathans. But destiny had left its mark on our travel.
on a night of crying thunder and high waves we were attacked by a leviathan. I remember it almost as clear as day, the way my mother and father told me to get on a rowboat and get as far-away as possible.
In the end, I was the only one who survived.
I cant even remember all the days I spent on sea with the limited supply of food I had onboard. It was days, maybe even a week.

Year 1445 after establishment of the Anax order
A marine hunting ship was sailing across the Tukan seas
"Hey, Look over there... There's someone on that rowboat!" one of the crewmen shouted pointing at the direction.
***
"Hey are you alright?!" one of the marine men reached out for her.
Little Sarah sat there quietly her body skinny and malnourished. Only a thin blanket holding her little to no warmth.
Year 1445 I was rescued by admiral Joseph Kritanta. They had been out to hunt a higher-leviathan and were headed toward the marine's headquarters in Soldat.
During our way back the marine ship was attacked by a leviathan and it was the first time I had ever witnessed a true battle between hunters and leviathans. I was invested, their strategies and their weapons interested me much.. and I kept wondering to myself... Can I also become like them?

"Hoho~! who is this little cute girl! she's adorable!" After we'd arrived to Soldat, Joseph introduced me to master Lumine immediately.
"Ah! Look at her body! skin! its all dry! what have you done to her!?" Lumine asked furious.
"M-Master... We found her during our mission, she had been out in the Tukan seas for over days...".
"R-Really?" Lumine's eyes widened.
"...She comes from Sindra, we'd like the officials to confirm her identity and... I'd like her to take her in as my own disciple...".
"A disciple really? and what does she feel about it-":
Sarah cut her off "..Please! let me stay here in Soldat! I want to learn the techniques of leviathan slaying!". Her voice was desperate, yet the fire in her eyes kept on becoming brighter.
"...Slaying Leviathans are no joke little girl... You will risk your life...".
"I don't care! I want them to suffer.... I want to take revenge on the leviathans that killed my family!"
Lumine looked at her with a slight surprised but her expression softening shortly after.
"...I see, I wont stop you....- Joseph, take care of her will ya?".
"Of course master....". Joseph bowed down in gratitude.

Shortly after my identity was confirmed as Sarah Kesak I started living with Joseph and his pregnant wife Meina Kritanta. They welcomed me in like their own, Meina taught me the basics of manners due to their noble blood and Joseph taught me how to wield a sword... a Katana to be precise.
they called me a genius, my scores were at the top of the marine recruit and my combat was on a level towering above the average marine soldier.
And that too caught the attention of the researchers in Soldat. They were looking for a person to become a vessel of the elder beast Tiamat.
A elder beast that appeared in the year 1404 at the coast of Mulnira, a huge glacier isle in the Northern continent. It had caused several Ecological-disaster across several islands residing within the north. Its could control the element of lighting and electrocuted anything that came close to it. It wasn't until the year 1406 they managed to kill it and extract its valuable blood.
The blood was unused for almost 50 years until I appeared.

"So your Sarah Kesak? Its an honour to meet you... I've heard of your stories though... I didn't expect you to be so young". A man clad in a white coat approached me.
Sarah: 15 years old.
Right beside the marine's palace stood a huge research factory, a place where they operated with the use of steam and heat. Creating armor, manufacturing Leviathan-slaying weapon and importantly... where they created Vessels.
"i will be the one to lead your blood transfer... but please keep in mind, its a very painful process... and if the blood isn't compatible.. you'll die... are you sure you want too continue?"
"Yes..." Sarah replied stoically.
"If that's what makes me stronger... then I'll do it".
They weren't lying when they said it would be a painful experience. First they they attached several pipes with a needle at the end of it, simple yes... but it all starts when the elder blood enters you.
I was screaming in pain, it hurt so much that i could almost compare it to the painful days when i was drifting the Tukan seas. the two bloods within me clashed against each-other, if my blood consumed the elder blood then I would gain my powers... but if the elder blood took over... well I would rather not think of it.
As lucky as I was I had survived the painful operation. I was on one knee panting for my life, I could barely stand up due to the exhaustion i had to keep up with.
"Congratulation Sarah, your now the 15th person in all of marine's history to obtain the power of a leviathan".
I was happy, once I tried its power i felt invincible, because I was of course. Summoning lighting from the palm of my hands felt like a fever dream, something straight out of a legend.

Years continued to pass and I became an admiral at the age of 19. Not only because of my power but my promise as a trustworthy captain. I had slain many beasts and criminals under the order of Soldat but eventually things started to become repetitive.
I sailed out, killed beasts, came home, got my paycheck and then it settled out again. It was starting to get boring and then one night while i was staring into the sky in my back garden I thought
"....Should I retire?"
I might've been young but it felt like there were so much i could do... and when just when i thought I was doing my last mission... I met him... Solan. A boy who came from nowhere except the fact he was discovered in a air-pocket of an elder beast.
"...Hes the same as me....".
"...He also holds a deep grudge against the leviathans...".
He had the same eyes on his face which Joseph said resembled mine when I first met him. It was instincts seeing such a young boy.. I realized how Joseph felt when he first saw me.
"...I must take care of this child...".
"I will teach him everything he wants to know...".
At that moment when I saw the fire in his eyes... It felt like I had a reason to to continue my work as a admiral. I want this boy... to look up too me and achieve greater things than I could ever do.
