“What?” She exclaimed in horror.

“You heard me,” he sounded dead serious. Layla gulped down the heavy lump that she had been holding for quite some time.

James couldn't help but gulp down his lump in utter disbelief as the horrific scene unfolded before his eyes. The newbie cop couldn't help but try to muffle his sobs while James tried to console him. It was a shock that they still managed to remain alive.

"..." Echoes of screams, filled with utter fear surrounded the room, as the lions continued to feast on the cops; their teeth painted in red. It was sad that neither of the bullets managed to kill them beforehand as the humans knew they already lost the battle seeing the number of lions emerging from the door.

"Wh-What… ar-are we go…nna do, si-sir?" The scared cop asked Frank in the wardrobe; his hands fidgeting as a sign of his distress. Frank glared at him and gestured him to shut his mouth as he was now peeking through the small creak of the wardrobe.
