The mansion was quiet as the clock ticked past midnight. Most of the soldiers and staff had long since retired for the night, but Colette finally made her way to her private quarters. Her wings drooped slightly from exhaustion, and her usually commanding stride was slower, her steps heavy from the long and grueling day she'd endured.
As she pushed the door open, the familiar warmth of her room greeted her, but it wasn't the decor or the comfort that made her lips curl into a soft smile. It was Kent, who stood by the small kitchenette, finishing up a plate of food he'd been preparing just for her.
"Welcome back," Kent said, his voice warm as he set the plate on the table. "You must be starving."
Colette closed the door behind her, her tired eyes lighting up at the sight of him. "You didn't have to wait up for me, darling," she said, though her tone carried none of the reprimand her words might suggest. Instead, it was filled with affection.
"I wanted to," Kent replied, walking over to her. He reached up, cupping her cheek with one hand. "You work so hard, Colette. Let me take care of you tonight."
Her sharp blue eyes softened, and she leaned into his touch, sighing deeply. "You spoil me too much, Kent."
"And I'll never stop," he said with a grin, taking her hand and guiding her to the table. He pulled out a chair for her, gesturing for her to sit. "Come on. Eat while it's still warm."
Colette chuckled, lowering herself into the chair and letting out a satisfied hum as she caught the scent of the meal. The food was simple yet comforting—a perfectly cooked steak with roasted vegetables and a side of freshly baked bread.
As she ate, Kent moved behind her, his hands finding her shoulders. He began to knead the tension from her muscles, his fingers working with practiced skill. Colette groaned softly, her wings twitching in response.
"That feels amazing," she murmured, her voice heavy with relaxation.
"You've been carrying too much stress," Kent said, his hands moving to the knots in her upper back. "You deserve to unwind."
By the time she finished her meal, the tension in her body had melted away, thanks to Kent's attentiveness. She turned in her chair to face him, her sharp gaze now filled with a rare vulnerability.
"You're too good to me," she said softly, pulling him into a tight hug.
He smiled, wrapping his arms around her. "You deserve it."
A little while later, the two of them settled into bed. Or, rather, Colette settled into bed while Kent found himself trapped in her embrace. She insisted on being the big spoon, her wings draped protectively over him and her tail wrapped around his legs.
"You're my little spoon tonight," she said with a teasing grin, pulling him closer until his face was pressed against her chest. Her large breasts smothered him slightly, and he let out a muffled laugh.
"I don't think I have much of a choice," he joked, his voice muffled by her scales.
"You don't," she replied, planting a kiss on his forehead. "You're mine, Kent. And I'm so grateful for you."
She hugged him even tighter, her lips brushing against his ear. "I don't know what I'd do without you. You make everything better, just by being here."
Kent's cheeks flushed, but he smiled, leaning into her embrace. "I'm the lucky one, Colette."
She shook her head, pulling back just enough to cradle his face in her hands. "No, I'm the lucky one," she said firmly, kissing him softly on the lips before pressing his face back into her chest. "And don't you forget it."
The night wasn't over yet, though. Colette suggested watching a movie, and the two moved to the couch in their room. Kent browsed through the options before settling on an action film, something with plenty of explosions and over-the-top stunts.
The two snuggled together, Kent leaning against Colette as her arm draped around his shoulders. She chuckled at the ridiculousness of the movie, occasionally whispering playful comments into Kent's ear.
As the film went on, their exhaustion began to catch up with them. Colette's head drooped slightly, her breathing evening out as sleep began to take hold. Kent wasn't far behind, his eyes growing heavy as he rested against her.
By the time the credits rolled, both of them were sound asleep on the couch, Colette's wings wrapping around them like a blanket. The room was quiet except for the soft sound of their breathing, the day's struggles forgotten as they found comfort in each other's arms.
The morning sun streamed softly through the curtains of the room, its gentle warmth coaxing Colette and Kent awake. Still sprawled on the couch where they had fallen asleep the night before, Colette blinked slowly, her sharp blue eyes adjusting to the light. A mischievous smirk crept onto her lips as she turned her head to look at Kent, who was still dozing peacefully against her side.
"Good morning, darling," she murmured, her voice low and playful.
Kent stirred, letting out a soft groan as he opened his eyes. "Morning, Colette," he said groggily, rubbing at his face.
Before he could fully wake up, Colette's thick tail coiled around his wrists, pinning his arms together. He blinked in surprise, looking down at her tail, and then back up at her face.
"Colette?" he asked, a hint of nervousness creeping into his voice.
She grinned, her blue-and-white scales catching the morning light. "You're not going anywhere just yet," she said teasingly, shifting her position on his lap.
Her plump, toned butt pressed firmly against his crotch, and Kent's face immediately flushed a deep red. "C-Colette, what are you doing?"
"What does it look like I'm doing?" she replied, her voice dripping with amusement. She wiggled her hips slightly, rubbing her thick thighs and butt against him in slow, deliberate motions.
Kent let out a strangled sound, his face growing impossibly red. "T-this is—"
"Adorable," Colette interrupted, leaning back slightly to glance at his flustered expression. Her sharp gaze softened as she took in the sight of him. "That blush of yours is just too cute, Kent. I needed to see it this morning."
"Y-you can't just do this!" he protested, squirming against her tail's grip.
She chuckled, her wings twitching slightly. "Oh, but I can. You're mine, remember? And seeing you like this…" She wiggled her hips again, causing Kent to let out an embarrassed squeak. "…is exactly what I need to get through the day."
Kent tried to compose himself, but every movement only seemed to press him further into her soft curves. "Colette, you're impossible."
"And you love it," she shot back, glancing over her shoulder at him with a playful wink.
He groaned, his face buried in his hands. "You're going to be the death of me."
Colette laughed, leaning forward to rest her arms on the couch's armrest while keeping her tail securely wrapped around his wrists. "Oh, come now, Kent. You should be flattered that I think you're so irresistible."
Despite his embarrassment, Kent couldn't help but smile. "You're lucky I love you."
Her grin widened, and she turned her head to kiss his cheek. "I know. And I love you too, my flustered little darling."
After a few more moments of playful teasing, Colette finally released him, her tail uncoiling from his wrists. She stood and stretched, her wings unfurling slightly as she prepared for the day ahead.
"You really know how to start the day off with a bang," Kent muttered, still red-faced as he sat up.
"And you know how to make me smile," Colette replied, her tone warm. "Now, come on. Let's get some breakfast before the chaos starts again."
With that, the two headed off to start their day, Colette's spirits lifted by Kent's endearing reaction. For her, there was no better way to begin the morning than with the man she adored.
