Our FL Cassandra Von Bonbourte is the first princess of Galendale kingdom and one and only in the whole kingdom who didn't receive any spirit, she was called bad luck, cursed ones who brings disasters to the people around her. She was sent away in an abandoned palace where she spent her child to young adult life until she was called back to marry the crown prince of Asterlayham empire, biggest and the most powerful empire who is rumoured to be super ugly and fat.

" Oh !! They arrived. They finished it quicker than usual, this time." Gilarus spoke with astonishment.

" Oh !! You do know that the monsters outside the boundaries get restless during winter season, right ? He went to clean them up." Gilarus responded.

How could she not know that beyond the human civilization, there are monsters who roam in this world. They are bloodthirsty and see human as preys. Just few hundreds years ago, the barrier that separated humans from monsters became thinner which causes many loopholes to form and through those loopholes many monsters enter into the human areas which made people fearful and restless. After all, no matter how much mana you're born with, once it runs out you are nothing but a sheep on the slaughter.

It's also the reason why every empires and kingdoms are desperately training their soldiers, it might not help with the mana enhancement but it sure can help on how to properly use whatever you have. She remembered ' the young soldiers training with their spirits just few hours ago '

She came back to her senses when she heard Gilarus's voice.

"He is currently resting, Your Highness " the maid responded .

( I guess he is mentally preparing himself for the bride) Gilarus took a peek at Cassy and said " umm! You can go now"

Gilarus looked at the sky outside and saw the dusky sun creating a warm and beautiful glow on the horizon then looked at Cassy and asked in a pleading tone " can I ask you something ?"

It startled Cassy as she didn't expected Gilarus to speak in such a vulnerable manner.

" I know this marriage is forced upon you, but, my nephew is a kind and caring man so I hope you won't break his heart in the worst way possible." Gilarus spoke while making eye contact with Cassy.

" Wha-what ???" Cassy looked at Gilarus with blank look as she didn't understand what it meant.

"Nevermind, if you want to leave then , its your choice." Gilarus spoke shaking his head left to right.

Cassy was utterly confused " why is this old man talking in riddles ??? is what she thought.

She was about to ask for explanation but a maid came and said the dinner is ready.

Gilarus looked at her and signaled her to go with him.

They both went to the dinner hall but it turned out to be a banquet. (Her soon to be in-laws)The Emperor and Empress, and those arguing twins and almost all the nobels were there except her groom. When they saw her they cheered and welcomed her.

She felt a bit panicked as she wasn't used to the overwhelming attention she just received.

The Empress who had beautiful light blue hair and aquamarine eyes signaled her to come and sit beside her and as a sheep on a new field, she obeyed.

" You are so beautiful." The Empress covered her mouth as she said that.

"Ugh!! Umm!! Thank you." Cassy shyly responded.

"My dear, my child is the luckiest man to have you." The Empress continued to look at her with most tender gazes.

Her gentle eyes reminded Cassy of her mother's before she was taken to make the pact in the forest of life which almost made her teared up right then and there but she hold herself in as she wasn't any weak girl.

After the banquet finished, a maid took her to a massive room and told her that this is her room from now on.
