Prolog (spoilers)

Mira Rosemary always felt most alive in her family's garden. The scents of flowers and berries intermingled with the earthy aroma of fresh soil, a fragrance that spoke of growth, care, and the potential for something extraordinary. She had grown up tending to the sprawling greenspace alongside her parents, who had collected seeds and saplings from their travels across the Unova region. It was there, among the rows of Roseli Berry bushes and tall Sitrus trees, that Mira's dream had taken root: to travel the world and unlock the secrets of plants and their bond with Grass-type Pokémon.

When Mira turned sixteen, she passed the trainer's exam with flying colors, landing in the top 5% of her class. She was elated when Professor Juniper offered her a choice of starter Pokémon. Though she briefly considered Tepig and Oshawott, her heart was set the moment she saw the proud Snivy standing tall. The Grass-type's confident demeanor reminded her of Petilil's resilience, and she knew they would make a great team.

With Petilil and Snivy by her side, Mira set out on her journey. Her parents' parting gift was a bag filled with berries and a lightweight gardening kit. "Wherever you go," her mother had said, "never forget where you started."

Her first stop was Accumula Town, where she took part in a small-scale Pokémon Musical. Although she didn't win, Snivy's elegant performance earned them an honorary ribbon and sparked Mira's interest in highlighting the natural beauty of Grass Pokémon. Next, she traveled to Nacrene City, where she entered a small botanical research competition. She and Petilil demonstrated how different soils affected the growth of Cheri Berries, earning them second place and valuable feedback from a panel of professors.

The turning point in Mira's journey came during the Eindoak Harvest Festival, a celebration of nature and the bond between people and Pokémon. During the festival, Mira entered the annual Berry-Growing Contest. She worked tirelessly with Petilil to cultivate a perfect batch of Lum Berries, which were known for their vibrant color and sweet taste.

However, their efforts were challenged when a sudden storm rolled in, threatening to ruin the festival. Petilil, who had always been shy and reserved, surprised Mira by stepping forward. It began to glow, using its Petal Blizzard to shield the crops and its Drain Punch to redirect falling debris. Mira could hardly believe her eyes as her partner's strength captivated everyone present.

The festival organizers awarded Mira and Petilil the grand prize, but what mattered most to Mira was the newfound confidence in her partner. Together, they had proven that growth—whether in a garden or a partnership—required patience, care, and trust.

After traveling across the Unova region and participating in various competitions, Mira felt a pull toward other regions. Stories of the lush flower fields in Sinnoh's Floaroma Town and the unique berries found in Alola sparked her curiosity. With her team growing stronger, Mira knew she was ready for the next chapter of her journey.

Her ultimate dream was to create a sanctuary where Grass Pokémon could thrive. She imagined a farm filled with vibrant flowers, fruit trees, and sparkling ponds, a haven for wild and abandoned Pokémon. It would be a place where trainers and researchers could gather to learn about the delicate balance between nature and Pokémon.
