Leviathan stood upright, impassive, his face barely visible. A heavy silence settled before he responded, his deep voice resonating.
"But what are you talking about, Linfer? You're my little brother. Why would I kill you?"
Linfer, still in shock, furrowed his brows, confused. "What?"
Leviathan slowly shook his head, disappointed. "Our true enemy is the Elysian. I have no intention of killing a family member, even if our father, Octavius, leaves a free path. I won't kill a family member just to access his throne."
Leviathan, despite his power, did not share this thirst for familial destruction that Linfer thought he had. In fact, looking at him now, he seemed to care little about becoming emperor. Leviathan stood before him, an unyielding rock, and with the humiliation of defeat, Linfer felt a deep hatred for his brother.
The silence stretched as the two brothers faced each other. He canceled his power, allowing Linfer to slowly begin regenerating his face and broken limbs. Energy flowed through his body again, and although painful, the healing was a relief.
Leviathan fixed him with a gaze for a moment before turning away, ready to leave. "We'll see each other later, on the Elysium continent. In the meantime, become stronger, Linfer. And stop acting like a kid, you're over a hundred years old, damn it."
With those words, Leviathan disappeared in a gust of icy wind, leaving behind a floating frost star in the air, like a signature.
"In our next battle, I swear I'll tear you apart!"
Linfer stood up, his body still sore, his mind tormented by new troubles. He observed the remains of his army, or rather what was left of it, as three-quarters had been annihilated in the fight. He had been humiliated, beaten effortlessly by his brother, and he knew that this would forever mark his reputation.
But more than anything, he knew he was stagnating. Clenching his fists, his claws digging into his flesh.
"Reform the ranks! Back to the bastion, then... Direction Elysiums."

The forgotten era was longer than all the others combined. It was therefore divided into two: antediluvian and postdiluvian. While the postdiluvian era was unknown to the mortals of the era of blessing due to its antiquity, the antediluvian era was unknown to most Elysian and Infernos, and those who knew of it kept it a secret as it was synonymous with taboo.
On the continent named BlackStar, the postdiluvian forgotten era was dominated by three great domains: the Astavi tribe, the bandits of the Northern Mountains, and the independent villages of the East. Then came the Infernos. Their arrival did not greatly disrupt things, except for the union of the villages under Linfer's rule, which created the Devil of the East Bastion, and the appearance of ambient mana that these superior beings could manipulate.
The continent of Elysium, on the other hand, was much more complex, as ambient mana had always existed there. Elysium was divided into two great domains: the White House and the Crimson House, two rival powers in perpetual conflict. The White House was led by a woman with white hair and blue eyes, while the founder of the Crimson House had red hair and red eyes. Each possessed a special flame: the Blue Flame for the White House and the Crimson Flame for the Crimson House. Even the Elysian could not afford to underestimate these two forces.
That is why the Northern and Southern Elysian coveted this continent, hoping to seize it. But it was the arrival of the Infernos that marked the beginning of the Armageddon era.
*Armageddon Era*
The most murderous era in the history of the lower plane and the scourge of this era...
Leaving his domain, he traveled alone for thousands of kilometers.
Linfer, without drawing attention to himself, settled in one of the large cities on the outskirts of the Crimson domain, which had been attacked by Lilith, a Northern Elysian known by mortals as the Archidemon of Lies.
*POV: Linfer*
It's been ten years since I've been here, but I decided to keep a low profile. Why? Well, because this continent was well-organized. I wouldn't last long here.
In the south, the armies of Astaroth, Luciel, Raphael, and his army, and that of my brother were facing off, causing the death of thousands of mortals each day. Then there was Uriel, who was taking more and more territory from the White domain. And for the Crimson domain, it obviously had a border with the White House, but also with the city taken by Lilith in the northwest, the territory of Alderbaran, who had come with part of the Astavi tribe in the northeast. And finally, the one nicknamed the Archidemon of Death, Belzebuth.
"Damn... This would be the last person I'd want to face." I murmured to myself, remembering that he had been able to stand up to my sister without flinching.
I was sitting on a small hill in the distance, looking down at the city below. Breathing in the fresh air, my mind calmed. If there was one thing I was proud of, it was that I had finally understood my Law. In fact, I had developed it a long time ago, but I had finally been able to witness my Law, by tasting the blood of a random Elysian that I had killed a few days ago. And there, I felt an awakening within me, Devour, it was my Law. Reflecting, I realized that it had nothing to envy of my brother's Law.
"I can't wait to test it on more powerful prey," I said, cackling like a madman, licking my lips at the thought of my future victims.
But I had to stay realistic. The true protagonists of this continent were out of my reach, for now. These mortals, on the other hand... they would make a good start, Minerva White or Luna Crimson.
'What to do...?' I thought, a mischievous smile stretching my lips. 'It's better to wait. Fish in troubled waters, as they say.'
The sun began to set, tinting the sky with a blood-red hue. I lay down on the grass, the breeze caressing my face. For the first time in a long time, I felt... calm. A strange and disturbing feeling.
"Damn it, I'm sick of it... I want to kill so badly!" I shouted, gnawing my claws until they bled.
And then, a thought crossed my mind. Epsilone.
I could feel her presence, thanks to the mark I had left on her. She was a tool, a toy in my hand, completely obsessed with me, and she would be my masterstroke to overthrow Octavius.
"I wonder what she's doing right now..." I murmured, as the scent of putrid blood entered my nostrils. And then, a crimson fireball arrived, the heat increasing as the silhouette approached like a meteor, landing with a crash, sending out waves of flames. Even though I was far from the point of impact, I could feel the power emanating.
A sinister smile appeared on my face.
"She's finally here... Luna Crimson."
I immediately transformed into a bloody mist.
