Choosing a weapon

Clearly, Hero was very fortunate to have found himself in a tier two kingdom and that was why he was still alive until now, if Hero had found himself in a tier three kingdom, he would never have survived because lower tier kingdoms were characterised by being ravaged by beast hordes from time to time, the inhabitants of such kingdoms were considered savages that only regarded one word and that was survival. Things like rape, murder, war, death, eating each other and killing each other had become a normalcy in the lower tier kingdoms.

However, even if calamities usually appear in most of the lower level kingdoms, it couldn't be ignored that a tier three kingdom might boast a minimum population of a billion inhabitants.

Still, with the high population of this world and the availability of many kingdoms, fifty percent of this world remained unexplored.

Hero continued to see and read information that he had never read before. Probably, most of this information had been hidden from the public so as not to scare them.

Hero found out that it was not only the humans of Ugley and giants of Litkesh who existed in this world but there were also countless races that existed in this world like the vampires, demons, warewolves, ghosts, dwarfs and many more, with each race having their own territories.

While Hero was seeing all these, he thought about exploring the world but first, he would have to grow stronger because out there, it was not as calm and exiting like in the slums where he had been living.

Finally, the knowledge about the world that Hero lived in came to an end as the system had summarized the information for him.

[Do you accept to merge with the system?]

A notification popped up. A merger was needed to ensure improved service of the system. After all, it was only through a willing heart that the system could work to its maximum potential.

Hero thought for a moment and he saw that he really needed to grow stronger and nothing could help him better than the system. He didn't knew where the system came from and he didn't care. What Hero wanted was power. He didn't care why the system chose him and neither did he care to find out about its agendas.

[Congratulations, hero number 3]

'Wait! Something is wrong.' Hero didn't knew why he was feeling that there was something wrong but he couldn't be wrong. Why was he number three? Were there other two people like him who were chosen by the system? And if yes, where were they?

Before Hero could ask the system this question, that thought disappeared like it never appeared. Since Hero had accepted the Daimon System, it now had complete control over him.

[Please choose a weapon cultivation manual.]

Countless weapon cultivation manuals surfaced on the screen and Hero was awed.

Just acquiring any of these manuals out there would need a person to toil for countless years so that they could get their hands on one of them but Hero had the privilege to chose any of them and he would not be required to pay anything.

'Which one will I choose?' Hero struggled to choose a weapon as to him, he didn't knew what he was best at.

There were different kinds of Sword cultivation manuals, Chain manuals, Hammer manuals, Cane manuals, Axe manuals and many more. The list was endless and it left Hero helpless as he didn't knew which was the best weapon for him.

If it was out there, Hero would have chosen the cheapest weapon cultivation manual but with the system, he had the obligation to choose any of them which left him helpless.

[No response has been detected from the host.]

A notification popped up on top of the list of the manuals thus blurring the list of the weapon cultivation manuals,

Hero began to panic but he didn't shout, he calmed down and tried to press on the interface but nothing was touched or felt, he ordered the system internally but nothing happened, the notification was still there.

"Damn it! I choose the Curved Sword Cultivation Manual!" Hero hollered frustratedly. Hero had seen that the most powerful cultivators in Rusvil city used the swords and that was the reason why Hero decided to choose the sword.

"Son, is there something wrong?" Old man Hutchinson's voice could be heard which disturbed Hero's attention. He opened his eyes and with it, the interface disappeared.
