Krista vs Isolde

Krista led Isolde deeper into the forest, the cold wind biting through their clothes. They walked slowly and alertly, the tension between them palpable. The dense canopy above blocked most of the sunlight, casting eerie shadows on the forest floor.

"By the way, have you ever killed a vampire?" Krista asked as she walked ahead, her voice casual but laced with something darker. She didn't look back.

Isolde scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Of course. They don't sell the vampire hunter title in the bazaar, do they?"

Krista's feet stopped for the slightest of seconds, then resumed walking. Her mind worked overtime, already envisioning a painful death for Isolde.

"How many, if I may be bold enough to ask…"

"Dozens," Isolde replied casually, clearly flaunting the numbers.

Krista didn't say anything else and just led her further into the forest. Isolde, for her part, scanned the surroundings with heightened alertness. She knew just how sneaky vampires could be.

And then.

*Swish…*

A tentacle shot out from the shadows, moving at sonic speed, aiming straight for Isolde's neck.

"Finally, it started," Isolde muttered, tilting her head slightly. The tentacle missed its mark, but it immediately changed direction, coiling like a whip to strike again. Before it could, a wall of flame erupted from Isolde's outstretched hand.

"[Flames]!" she shouted, and the tentacle burned to ashes in front of her. It snapped in two and fell to the forest floor, writhing before disintegrating.

"Is that all you've got?" Isolde challenged, her eyes narrowing as she stared into the trees where the tentacle had emerged. A dark figure stood there, the shadows around it fading in the light of Isolde's flames. The figure stepped forward, revealing Dianelle—a vampire with pale skin, glowing crimson eyes, and an aura of malevolence. Her long, black hair seemed to blend into the darkness, and her lips curled into a sinister smile.

Krista stepped back a few paces, her eyes meeting Dianelle's for a brief second. A silent understanding passed between them.

"I'll leave this to you, Miss Isolde," Krista said, her voice calm but carrying an undertone of mockery.

Dianelle moved first, her body blurring as she lunged at Isolde with inhuman speed. More tentacles erupted from her back, writhing like serpents as they shot toward the huntress. Isolde reacted instantly, her hands igniting with fiery energy.

"[Flame Barrier]!" she shouted, and a dome of fire surrounded her, incinerating the tentacles that came too close. But Dianelle was relentless. She circled Isolde, her movements too fast to track, her tentacles probing for weaknesses.

Isolde gritted her teeth. "You're not the first vampire I've dealt with," she growled, slamming her hands together. "[Inferno Burst]!" A massive explosion of fire erupted from her, forcing Dianelle to retreat momentarily. The forest around them caught fire, the flames spreading rapidly.

But Dianelle wasn't deterred. She hissed, her eyes glowing brighter as she summoned more tentacles, thicker and more numerous this time. They lashed out like whips, forcing Isolde to dodge and counter with bursts of flame.

"[Fire Whip]!" Isolde shouted, conjuring a whip of pure fire. She swung it in wide arcs, cutting through the tentacles and forcing Dianelle to keep her distance. But the vampire was cunning. She used the environment to her advantage, disappearing into the shadows and reappearing behind Isolde to strike.

However Isolde was proving to have the upper hand. She knew she needed to prove herself to Krista but this huntress was too power.

As the fight raged on, Krista watched from the sidelines, her expression unreadable. But then, she stepped forward, her scarlet eyes gleaming with malice.

"Enough playing around," Krista muttered. She raised her hand, and a crimson aura surrounded her. "[Blood Explosion]!"

Droplets of blood shot out as Krista casually waved her hand, catching Isolde off guard. The huntress's back felf the cold drops and then suddenly they all exploded, slamming Isolde into a tree due to the sheer force. She groaned, her flames flickering as she struggled on the ground.

"What…?" Isolde muttered, her eyes widening as she realized Krista's betrayal.

Krista smirked. "Did you really think I'd let you live after what you've done to my kind? You're nothing but a glorified exterminator."

"Your kind? Oh..I see. You are a vampire too?" Isolde spoke still in shock.

Dianelle laughed, a chilling sound that echoed through the forest. "Indeed. Did you think such a brilliant person could be a filthy human. My mistress is a Vampire. Not just any, but from the glorious Spilledblood Bloodline."

Krista ignored her, stepping forward with deadly intent. "[Soul Barrier]!" she chanted, creating a shimmering shield of energy around herself. She lunged at Isolde, her movements precise and calculated.

Isolde barely had time to react. Her soul experienced a sharp pressure and her body grew heavy. However she somehow managed to activate her skil "[Flame Nova]!" The explosion forced Krista back, but Dianelle was already closing in from behind.

The two of them worked in tandem, their attacks relentless. Isolde was pushed to her limits, her flames growing weaker as she struggled to fend off both opponents. She was outnumbered and outmatched.

Isolde fell to one knee, her body battered and bruised. Blood trickled down her face, and her flames sputtered weakly. But her eyes burned with defiance.

"You think… you've won?" she rasped, her voice barely above a whisper. "You're wrong."

Krista and Dianelle paused, sensing the sudden shift in the air. Isolde raised her hands, her entire body glowing with an intense, fiery light.

"You still have MP left?" Krista asked, her eyes alert to Isolde's every move.

"[Scorching Ascension]!" she roared.

The forest erupted in flames. A massive pillar of fire shot into the sky, engulfing everything in its path. The heat was unbearable, the light blinding. Krista and Dianelle were forced to retreat, their bodies scorched by the inferno.

"The fuck...what happened.."

"..."

When the flames finally subsided, the forest was a charred wasteland. Isolde was nowhere to be seen.

Krista and Dianelle stood at the edge of the burned forest, their bodies singed and their expressions grim.

"She's stronger than I thought," Dianelle admitted, her voice tinged with frustration.

Krista clenched her fists, her scarlet eyes burning with anger. "This isn't over. She'll pay for what she's done."

Dianelle smirked. "Oh, I'm counting on it."

As they disappeared into the shadows, the forest smoldered behind them, a testament to the power of the Blazing Fury. But the fight was over. But Krista's Identity was compromised.
