Commander and Technology

From the south, the scout continued his exploration around the area. Sure enough, the scout found a high-level treasure cave east of Liliana's Town Hall, about 2km away.

[High-level treasure cave found!]

Without hesitation, Caleb ordered the scout to explore the treasure cave, hoping that he could get something worth it.

After waiting for half an hour, the exploration inside the treasure cave ended. A message arrived from the system in Caleb's inbox. The man immediately opened the gold-colored mystery chest.

[Mystery Chest opened]

[DING! Congratulations you got a mystery reward]

[4 Fragments of Leonidas S Class Commander]

'Four fragments of S Class Commander. Commander Leonidas is strong, but I need something stronger,' Caleb explained.

To at least summon a Commander, 10 fragments were needed. This time, Caleb got four fragments from Commander Leonidas.

He needed six more fragments from Commander Leonidas to be able to fully summon him and lead the troops.

The Commander's duties consisted of three: leading troops for invasion, leading troops for defense, and guarding the castle.

There are hundreds of different types of commanders with different ranks, the lowest rank being C and the highest being SSS.

Getting a Commander Class SSS was difficult or even impossible; Caleb's favorite was Gilgamesh.

The scout explored again to find out the area around Liliana's Town Hall. However, he found nothing except the treasure cave he had explored earlier.

[DING! Congratulations on completing technology research]

[Technology Type: Economic]

[Technology: Basic Farming Field]

[Production: 10/worker -> 17/worker] [+7]

[Building: Mill]

[Kingdom Power: 200] [+200]

With the increased production, plus the capacity of 7 workers, Caleb will get 119 food every hour.

There were no other buildings with research technology available. It was time for Caleb to upgrade his TH to level 2 so that more buildings could be built and more technology could be researched.

However, through the resources panel, the amount of wood and food owned by Caleb was less than 500. At least he had to wait about 2-3 hours to get the required wood and food.

After that, his town hall can be upgraded to level 2, and Caleb will have many other buildings that have been unlocked.

For research itself, there is one technology research that has not been completed. The Coarse Gold Mine had a research duration of 8 hours, which was three hours longer than the Basic Farming Field.

Caleb turned his eyes to the surrounding area. He still remembered the player with the username CL_Ellise.

It is possible that the players in this game are humans, just like Caleb, not NPCs or bots controlled by computer commands.

However, Caleb was still confused about the reason why those people were trapped in this world, just like him.

According to him, the answer to this problem might be answered if Caleb managed to control the entire continent.

[Friend Chat!]

[Liliana_P] [Hi. I'll go visit your kingdom. Do you mind?]

A red dot with a number one appeared on the friend chat panel's side panel. There, Liliana typed something like asking Caleb for permission.

'He doesn't have any troops; a scout won't be able to kill me,' Caleb explained confidently.

[Caleb] [No]

[Liliana_P] [Alright. I'll go there right away]

Caleb shifted the panel and focused on the south, looking towards the wilderness, where Liliana's Town Hall stood behind the trees.

Two hours later, notification panels appeared from three buildings with different hourly production quantities.

[Wood +160]

[Food+238]

[Gold +100]

[RESOURCES INFO]

[Wood: 370] [+160]

[Food: 573] [+238]

[Gold: 350] [+100]

[Stone: 175]

'The food resources have reached the requirement to upgrade the Town Hall to level 2, while the wood still needs about 130 more wood,' Caleb explained.

'Unfortunately, the market isn't here, so I can't buy wood,' Caleb said.

The market will only appear when the Town Hall is at level 5. Before that, the alliance feature will open at Town Hall level four, so when it reaches level 5, each member can trade with each other using the trade cart feature in the market building.

However, for this time, Caleb had to wait until his wood count was met. If the hourly production quota of a worker was 10, then with the total capacity of workers at Lumber, Caleb would only have to wait for two hours.

[DING! Congratulations technology research has been completed]

[Technology Type: Economic]

[Technology: Coarse Gold Mine]

[Production: 10/worker -> 17/worker] [+7]

[Building: Mining Camp]

[Kingdom Power: 500] [+300]

Kingdom Power is a feature that describes how capable a kingdom is. The higher the number, the stronger and more prosperous the kingdom is.

There are several ways to increase KP —Kingdom Power. Starting from doing technology research, constructing buildings, producing troops, to spreading campaigns.

Among the four ways, the method of producing troops was the fastest way to increase KP.

The calculation was random, and no one knew for sure. Clearly, there would have been a drastic increase if someone had produced troops.

From the south, he saw a woman walking endlessly through the forest until she arrived at Caleb's Town Hall area. Caleb gasped, not expecting Liliana_P to be a young girl, maybe 18 years old.

She arrived in a casual suit, blouse and trousers. Her long blonde hair was tied in a ponytail to make it easier for her to move around.

'I thought he was my age, but he's older. Is he jobless in real life?' asked Liliana, squinting as she looked at Caleb.

Even so, Caleb's face looked handsome, typical of an adult man in general. Having already come and befriended Caleb, Liliana stepped up and reached out, shaking hands with Caleb.

"Nice to meet you, Caleb," Liliana said, Caleb nodded.

Liliana looked to the side and saw that the workers' focus was on the wood, food, and gold sectors. A smart move, according to Liliana, since collecting stones was not a wise thing to do now.

"What happened to you? Why are you stuck in this game?" Caleb asked.

Liliana turned her head, then sighed slowly. As she began to explain why she was here, Caleb began to listen.

She told him that she had joined an event organized by a company. However, in the middle of the event, a mysterious man hit her on the shoulder, knocking her down.

One thing was certain, the mysterious man in the black suit and black gloves was seen injecting something into Liliana's body.

From that moment on, Liliana woke up and found herself in her favorite game, Lord of Empires.

"That's my story. How about you?" asked Liliana, turning her face forward.

'I can't say I was hurt after failing to come in first place in the Season King Lord of Empires tournament, let alone my death by PC self-detonation,' Caleb explained.

'Isn't that ridiculous?

"I was involved in an accident, then met a man in a black suit who injected something in my neck. In the end, I was stuck here," Caleb revealed.

"That's right. But I'm not scared at all," Liliana explained, looking confident.

"What do you mean?"

"Because CL_Ellise is in the game, on the same continent as us. If we try to build an alliance with him, we'll be safe," Liliana said.

'I wish you knew that the CL_Ellise in this place isn't me,' Caleb stated.

Liliana said that she had sent CL_Ellise a message and a friend request. However, there has been no response from him.

She idolized CL_Ellise, especially when he won four tournaments in a row.

'It feels kind of weird that my fans don't realize who I am,' Caleb said.

"How's that? Are you going to come with me?" asked Liliana, meaning to befriend CL_Ellise.

"People are way too cautious this time. It's better not to be rash. We should show him what we're capable of so he'll offer us an alliance," stated Caleb.

"That's better."
