Chapter 8

After that day, I hadn't contacted Asher at all.

Following the incident with the manager, I developed an aversion to going to work and chose to stay home and write novels instead.

During my college years, I had sporadically written a couple of novels.

After getting married, Asher thought I wasn't focusing on the important things and disliked my novel writing, so I stopped.

Now, picking it up again feels pretty good.

However, while I didn't reach out to Asher, he took the initiative to find me.

One day, as I went out to pick up takeout, I saw Asher holding our daughter's hand, waiting at the entrance of the neighborhood.

Both of them looked happy to see me.

Our daughter immediately ran up and hugged me, acting coy and saying she was sorry for her previous behavior.

"Mommy, I love you so much, way more than Daddy. Can you forgive your sweetheart? Your sweetheart knows she was wrong."
