Rain poured from the sky, its drops tapping the window, disturbing the dark and tranquil room.

The sudden rustle of blankets and soft, sleepy murmurs broke the silence. Julian gazed at the light from his phone with a bitter smile.

'It seems I have more time left…'

He wondered if shopping to buy the supplies and other items that he would need to improve survival and living standards in the first months of the synchronisation.

Julian's hushed whisper didn't wake her as she snorted and rolled onto her side, kicking him away while pulling the sheets away with a forceful huff.

A smile tugged at the corner of his lips as they curved into a sly smirk. Julian tapped the screen and deleted the message, telling him about his penalty.
