-BLOP
"Derek…"
"Shh, she'll hear us."
In an instant, Eclipse wrapped around Derek and Barry, forming a dome around them as it reflected the light of the outside, making them invisible.
Not only that, it masked the sounds within, like their speech and even beating hearts. Hell, even their body heat was concealed.
'In this universe, planet Krypton never succumbed to the destruction it did in the regular Superman's universe. Therefore, Earth and Krypton never interacted or even knew of each other's existence. But I just changed that…'
Derek paused as he stared at the pod for a second.
'Did my interference just end a whole planet's worth of people?'
He wore a blank expression as he turned back to Kara, her head slightly lowered casting an ominous darkness over her face, yet failing to hide the piercing red glow from her eyes.
Her blonde hair hung from her head like curtains as she wore a form-fitting white dress. It was formal but nothing so over-the-top, stopping at her knees.
At that moment, Derek's Eclipse moved with his sight until…
-BANG
Like a bullet, it shot out, striking her on the side of her head.
However, it did nothing but bounce off, her head slightly tugged to the side as she slowly turned to see where it came from, only to witness a struggling man in a yellow suit, glitching as if he were in a video game.
Thawne raised his head, quickly realising what happened as he widened his eyes.
"Wait…That wasn't…"
Thawne tried to mutter but saw it was no good as his face turned bitter despite the pain he was in.
He could see the female bend her legs like a lion getting ready to pounce, therefore, he yelled whatever came to his lips in the next second.
"Your name is Kara Danvers…I know you. I can help you get back…"
"M-Mute…saodin…guraen…nika!"
'What…is she really the Kara Danvers from Earth 38? But I didn't see a portal open. Just what did that bastard do?!'
But before he could get an answer, the woman of steel leapt off the ground with a BOOM, the ground shattering beneath her feet, her low tone rumbling through the air before she screeched, her voice alone deafening Thawne.
But he barely noticed this as he rose to his feet, ready to run, however, his lightning flickered around him like a dying lightbulb, his speed only taking him a few metres before he hit the ground exhausted.
This was enough time for the female to grab his foot as he looked back, seeing her clenched jaw as her eyes showed not a hint of sanity, causing him to break out in cold sweat.
'Shit…'
-SMASH
-SMASH
-CRASH
-SMASH
Thawne was slammed into the ground like a ragdoll while the Kryptonian twisted her body, only to swing him through the air above and bring him down face-first into the hard ground, repeating this a dozen times.
Meanwhile…
"Barry."
Barry was snapped out of his trance as he turned to Derek who held the wall of the dome, barely on his feet but seemingly getting better with every second.
The dome allowed them to be invisible, but they could still see everything happening on the outside, thus why Barry was horrified by how the great villain Thawne was being disrespected.
"What is it? Do you need help? That bruising looked nasty."
"No, trust me, I'm fine."
"Good. Then you can tell me what the hell that thing is."
Barry unknowingly raised his voice as he darted his eyes between Derek and what was happening outside.
In his eyes, Derek had somehow found a way to invite a worse factor into their already life-threatening situation.
But he also understood another thing.
Thawne was losing.
And that should have been impossible considering he was both omniscient and omnipotent only a few minutes before this.
"What did you do?" He finally asked. He knew this wasn't the time, but he simply couldn't hold it in.
"Not now. First, I need to tell you something."
Barry paused, curious upon seeing Derek's determined expression.
"We…are going to change this world."
Barry stared.
It was a bizarre statement to make in their situation. Nevertheless, Barry didn't interrupt.
"Not just Central City. We'll make this whole world better. With your speed and my Eclipse, we can clean up this city in a day and maintain peace in the whole world after that."
For once, Derek took his hand off the wall, walking toward Barry with struggling steps, almost falling as the latter rushed to him, to which he quickly raised his hand.
"The whole world, man…"
Derek held out his hand for Barry to shake it, gazing into the latter's confused eyes.
"We change it. There will never be another child out there who has to watch his life get ruined. There will never be another person who lives through a nightmare. It will be utter…"
"Perfection."
Derek's expression faltered for a second as Barry's subtle mutter cut him off.
"That's what you're talking about. A Perfect World."
For a moment, Derek stayed silent, a memory of a boy in an alley with the same gaze as Barry flashing before his eyes.
Slowly, he started to smile.
"Yes, that's it. We will make a Perfect World. I need you to promise me that. We'll do it together."
Derek held out his hand, no longer trying to hide his wide grin as Barry closed his gaping mouth, blinking for a second as he raised his head, matching Derek's enthusiasm.
"I don't know what's gotten over you all of a sudden…"
Perhaps if this was OG CW Barry Allen, he'd show some resistance to this idea, since it sounded utterly impossible.
However, this Barry, a Barry who was no longer hindered by plot and could freely spread his wings…
"But let's do it. The two of us. We will make this world perfect!"
Nothing was impossible.
No, he was the impossible.
'Good. We got it. The second thing that we need to survive…'
A chill ran down both Barry's and Derek's spines as their super speed perception kicked in, prompting the former to snap his head while Derek turned his eyes.
It was then that they saw a female looming through the air, Thawne lying lifelessly in her wake, her arm pulled back in a fist as she hovered before the dome they hid in.
It took only a fraction of a second for Derek to realise his mistake. Especially upon noticing her deactivated laser eyes.
'Shit…I accounted for all her senses revealing our position, but I completely forgot about her X-ray vision…'
And it was too late…
-SHATTER!!!
With a single punch, the female was able to shatter the dome they were in.
"Shit! What now?" Barry yelled, bending his legs.
"Simple…We run!"
-CRACKLE
-WHOOSH
Barry didn't need to be told twice before nothing but lightning was left of him.
And though Derek didn't have the luxury of being this fast, for once ever since coming to this world, he wasn't outclassed by a simple speedster.
'Sure it's a Kryptonian now who is arguably worse, but there's something special about this one.'
She couldn't control her powers.
She was new to the yellow sun exposed to earth that gave her her powers.
After being asleep for so long and waking to a jolt of overwhelming power, her already weak and dormant mind was now weaker.
'Good for me!'
Derek thought as she neared him, pulling back another punch.
One which he swiftly tilted his head to, allowing it to pass with a WIZ!
His grin widened as he swung his arm, thousands of obsidian strings snapping around her in succession.
Now, with her constrained, he could finally…
'Run!'
He turned, sprinting away with whatever freedom his barely healed body gave him, swinging his arms wildly.
-SNAP!!!
But it wasn't long until she swung her arms, breaking through the constraints like they were spiderwebs, planting her feet to dash until…
-THUD
The slippery obsidian ground prompted her to fall face first, all while the strings tightened and reformed around her, the ground rising and trapping her in a dome that quickly filled with black water.
"GrrRAW!!!"
-FZZZ
Kara screamed, her eyes shooting out a burning red laser that distorted the space around it, seamlessly tearing through the dome, hovering off the ground as her lasers tore through the facility and obsidian strings until she finally turned to Derek who barely turned his head just in time.
-BLOP
Eclipse formed as a shield before him but it was torn through like butter, tearing Derek's arm off in the process as his face went blank.
But in the next second, a devious grin painted his lips.
"Did you get your taste…Eclipse?"
-BLOP
A blop rang out as if to answer him as his burned Eclipse reformed, combining, all while a small piece morphed into tiny strings that latched Derek's arm back to his shoulder, his regeneration quickly doing the rest.
"Well then, let's give her a taste of her own medicine."
Derek raised his hand, finger stretched out like a gun as Eclipse formed before it like a ball. But slowly, Eclipse's form started to change from a slime-like texture to a more volatile and plasma-like substance until…
'Eclipse Ray!'
-FZZZ!!!
A black laser larger than Kara's shot out of his finger, shooting through the air in an instant and striking the Kryptonian straight in the gut, sending her flying through the air and hitting a wall.
"Holy crap!"
Derek turned at this sudden exclamation, only to see Barry with his jaw dropped, his eyes slowly panning over to Derek, to which the latter slyly winked.
'That won't keep her down for long. But if I remember correctly…it should be there, around this time.'
"Barry, get everyone out of here."
"Don't you need help?" Barry asked, witnessing Thawne, though seemingly dead, lying behind Derek and the female getting back to her feet.
But Derek yelled back, and as he did, Barry's eyes widened.
"Are you serious?!"
"Very. Go!"
-CRACKLE
-WHOOSH
Both Derek and Barry didn't waste a second as they shot away in different directions.
Derek quickly started to regain control over his limp arm, waving it to test.
'It'll do. It was right here. I made sure to memorize everything from my Story Recap I bought from the system.'
Derek stood still, turning after ignoring all the crashing and yells that inched closer.
Witnessing Kara shoot toward him, he didn't move.
'Is that all you got?'
[Bloodlust]
-HUUU
The colour drained from the surroundings as Derek's green eyes glowed ominously from within.
However, despite this aura reaching Kara, it seemed to do nothing but piss her off more as she planted her feet on the ground, destroying the entire pipeline floor with a devastating BOOM as her speed increased tenfold.
'That's right, come at me. Any second now.'
She quickly approached, but he didn't move despite knowing whatever attack she was aiming at that speed would tear him in half.
'And I thought my puny Superhuman stats would stand a chance against that.'
But greed clouded his eyes as he saw himself in the rage-induced Kara.
'Now!'
-CRACK!!!
-HUA!!!
A familiar black hole emanating a blue glow suddenly cracked into existence from thin air within the pipeline, slowly expanding at a visible rate as it rose into the air.
It was because of this singularity forming between the two that they both suddenly lost their balance, succumbing to the strong gravitational force of it as they were sucked in.
-BLOP
However, Derek was able to restrain himself as Eclipse clung to the ground, keeping him from going any further.
But the same couldn't be said for Kara.
'Oh no, you don't.'
A ball of Eclipse darted toward Kara, but seemingly passed her in a blur. As it did, it loomed between her and the eye of the black hole, expanding as it soon fashioned a deep abyss of its own.
'I'll be damned before I lose an asset like you.'
One that she entered and completely disappeared within.
~Elsewhere in Nanda Parbat~
"She's coming. On my mark…"
A Gorilla stood within a throne room, an unfriendly expression plastered across his face as he listened to the familiar voice coming from the slime-like sphere on his shoulder.
"Yes, Father."
"Now!"
An Eclipse formed into a portal before Grodd as he raised both arms, its muscles bulging.
In the same second, Kara flew through the portal, failing to control herself midair until…
-CRACK!!!
-BOOM!!!
Grodd's fists cracked onto Kara's side as she shot through the ground, only to break through every floor beneath it.
Grodd didn't even wait for her to land before leaping off, quickly closing the distance and shooting both feet into her chest, furthering their speed until…
-CRASH!!!
They finally came to a stop in a dark and damp dungeon with chains on the walls and a strong metal cage for a door.
Grodd dismounted Kara as he stared at her lifeless body. Though, both he and the figure watching through the other side of the floating Eclipse knew she was alive.
"Good job getting into her mind. Although the destruction was a little unnecessary."
"Father speaks highly of Alien but she is no more than these puny humans. Grodd is better!"
Grodd beat his chest as he yelled.
However, even he couldn't help but wonder why his attacks seemingly did absolutely nothing.
If he hadn't capitalised on shutting down her weak mind, he didn't know what would have happened.
"Yes, Grodd. You are. Keep her unconscious till I get there and do your best to search her mind without delving too deep that it'll wake her up."
"Simple things like the language she speaks and the last memories she has. Learn more about this alien."
Grodd nodded in understanding, not knowing Derek used the right words to pique his interest.
He took a seat as his glare intensified on Kara.
***
Derek sighed as he stared at the spherical Eclipse in his hand, inwardly commanding his voice to be connected to an Eclipse elsewhere.
"Barry!"
"Derek? I'm here with everyone. Are you alive?"
"Yup. I've dealt with the crazy lady."
"Great…so what do we do about this?"
Both Barry and Derek looked up.
Derek stared at the gaping skyline the singularity opened in STAR Labs, prompting sunlight to enter the pipeline.
He stared as it rose slowly into the sky, pulling in cars and parts of buildings as it went.
As for Barry, he and everyone else stared helplessly as they stood outside STAR Labs.
Stein was unconscious due to Ronnie's death and the rest of them had their eyes widened so wide they'd risk blindness from the sun.
"Sorry, Barry but I'll have to leave this one to you…"
Barry heard this, pausing as he waited for Derek's next words.
As for Derek, he stared at the absence of a yellow-suited man.
"I'm going to end this with Thawne, once and for all."
Barry breathed in, nodding.
"Hand the Eclipse over to Caitlin."
Derek waited a second and in the next second, a delicate voice that made him smile entered his ears.
"Derek, I'm here."
"Good. Then let's get on with the 3rd and final thing that'll ensure our survival. This one is down to you. So tell me, Caitlin…"
Derek's smile curled to a devious grin as he stepped forward to look for Thawne.
"Did you do it?"
