Left Behind

The three sprinted through the crimson fields, travelling back the way that Raphael and Lillian had initially come by.

With every few steps, Raphael couldn't help but check behind him. Who knew when the Emperor would send guards or assassins to add them? Especially after realising his daughter was missing.

Hopefully, Joshua's done a good job at holding them off.

"H-how far left," Juniper said, hiking up her dress with her hands as she ran, being careful not to trip over it.

Lillian looked back at the woman lagging behind with anger in her face.

"What? We just started. We've still got a long way to go." The green-haired lady snarled, frustrated at the woman's weakness.

Only a few steps later, Raphael heard a thud.

He turned to see Juniper, collapsed onto her knees, drained of all her energy and unable to rise to her feet.

The woman had spent her entire life locked away in the palace, living the life of a noble.
