Why can't I ever nail that look.
He arched an infuriatingly perfect brow. "The same as everyone else. I go here."
Oh, fantastic. Just what I was hoping for—note the sarcasm.
"And, judging by your presence, I assume you're starting here too?" he added, tilting his head slightly, his gaze dropping to me like a predator sizing up prey.
I had to stop myself from blurting, 'Well your assumptions are just as dumb as you are, pal.'
Not because I didn't want to say it, but because that kind of comeback has a nasty habit of biting you in the ass later; especially when they are not true.
Before I could conjure up a reply, his attention shifted. The slightly tolerable demeanor of indifference was quickly replaced by pure annoyance. Like he just tasted a sour apple.
That's when it hit me—Leo.
Standing right next to me, Leo had been silently watching this mess unfold. And now, Mr. Arrogant was glaring daggers at him all the while also sizing him up with his eyes.
The intensity of it was enough to make me glad it wasn't directed at me. But I couldn't help but feel a little bad for Leo.
Almost. I don't know him that well yet. He could be some sweet-talking playboy for all I know.
With almost like a growl, he groaned, "So you're still attracting attention from wild mutts, I see." He threw a mean look in Leo's direction.
Turning my head to the person he was glaring his eyes out at, I indeed found none other than Leo with just as intense glare on his part directed at -well I just realized I don't even know his name-
Let's just call him hot stran- Nope, just, Stranger.
I realized I was standing in the middle of a glaring match between two buffs, who looked like they would pounce at each other any moment now, leaving me confused and also kinda excited.
"Watch your tongue before you loose it, hermit." i could feel the seething rage in Leo's demeanor as spit the words out. A total contrast to how he were with me a moment ago.
Wow, looks like he hate him more then I do.
"Hermit? Really? That's the best you could do?" A cocky smirk appeared on the Stranger's face, no doubt judging poor old Leo at the moment.
Well, I have to admit, it was a weak one.
But I'm sure he could do better, in no way I'm siding with this arrogant ass.
"You know this guy?" this time the question came from Leo who was now looking at me incredulously as he pointed a finger him his direction.
And boy was I glad he wasn't glaring any longer but still frowning way too much for his good looks. His glare wasn't all roses either.
"I can't say that I-", I was cut off by a gruff voice from where The Stranger was standing –and yes I am committing to that name.
"She does. But what I fail to see is how that's any of your concern." He was being dismissive with Leo like he didn't even deserve a minute of his 'oh so regal' attention.
"No I d-" And he did it again, going off right when I was speaking.
If he was gonna make a habit out of this. He and I are gonna have a serious problem; among many others.
"Oh so you forgot what happened last night so quickly?" The arrogant stranger looked at me with pinched brows like he was taking a personal offense in that.
However I could see right through to what he was doing.
The ass deliberately put it in such an odd way it felt like he was insinuating as if there was more to our encounter last night. Like something happened between us... god forbid, something explicit.
