Chun & Zhang Vs Jealous Joker— The Love He Can't Have

The air was thick with tension as Chun and Zhang stood together, side by side, in front of their opponent.

This Joker was different from the others.

His bright jester outfit was torn and faded, like it had been neglected for years. His face was twisted, his grin uneven—not because of madness, but because of frustration. His eyes burned with something dangerous.

Jealousy.

He stared at Chun and Zhang with pure disdain. His fists were clenched. His breath came out in ragged bursts.

Chun sensed the energy around him shifting, almost like the air was being poisoned.

Zhang took a step forward. "What's wrong, clown? Jealous of something?"

Jealous Joker growled. "You. Both of you. Everything about you two makes me sick."

Chun raised an eyebrow. "Why? We don't even know you."

Joker clenched his teeth. "I've seen you two. Always together. Always laughing. Always… happy." His voice cracked. "It's disgusting."

Zhang chuckled. "You sound bitter, my guy. Maybe try finding your own happiness?"

Joker's eyes darkened. "Happiness? I've never had it. I've never been loved. And if I can't have love… then neither can you."

Suddenly—

The ground beneath Chun and Zhang cracked.

A dark green mist spread from Joker's feet, filling the space around them.

Chun's heart pounded. The mist carried something heavy, something that twisted inside her chest.

Doubt.

Zhang reached for her hand—but the second their fingers touched—

Pain shot through their bodies.

They both flinched, instinctively pulling away.

Joker laughed. "Ah, that's better. See, my power is simple. I destroy love. Your bond? I'll break it piece by piece."

Chun and Zhang stepped back, feeling the distance between them grow wider.

Their connection—the invisible thread that always kept them in sync—was weakening.

Zhang gritted his teeth. "Chun… don't let him mess with you."

Chun clenched her fists. "I won't. We fight together."

Joker's grin widened. "Not for long."

Then he attacked.

He rushed Zhang first, swinging a jagged blade that looked like it had been broken and put back together with pure spite.

Zhang barely dodged, countering with a quick strike to Joker's ribs—

But his punch slowed mid-air.

It felt wrong.

Like his body didn't want to fight.

Joker snickered. "Oh? Feeling hesitant? That's my power. The closer you are to your loved one, the more your body refuses to fight."

Zhang growled. "That's dirty."

Joker grinned. "Jealousy always is."

He spun, throwing a knife straight at Chun.

Zhang's eyes widened. "Chun!"

Chun reacted instinctively, twisting her body just in time to dodge—

But her balance was off.

The mist was making her dizzy, weak, uncertain.

Zhang lunged forward, trying to catch her—

But the moment he reached for her—

A wave of pain shot through both of them again.

Joker cackled. "Ahhh, look at that! You two are useless together now!"

Chun gritted her teeth. "Damn it… this isn't right…"

Zhang clenched his fists. "We need to fight separately."

Joker wagged his finger. "Too late."

The mist thickened. The world around them turned gray.

Joker's voice echoed in their minds. "Let me show you something fun… What happens when you start to question each other?"

The mist shifted.

Suddenly—

Chun saw a vision.

Zhang… with someone else.

Another woman. Laughing with him. Smiling at him. Holding his hand.

Her chest tightened.

Zhang, at the same time, saw his own vision.

Chun… choosing someone else over him. Smiling the way she used to when they first met—but at another man.

His hands trembled.

Joker's voice whispered in their ears. "How do you know they won't leave you one day?"

Chun's breath hitched.

Zhang's jaw tightened.

Doubt.

It was working.

Joker chuckled. "It hurts, doesn't it? That creeping feeling. That uncertainty. That thought in the back of your mind—what if they stop loving you? What if you're just temporary?"

Chun closed her eyes tightly.

No.

She wouldn't let this get to her.

She reached for Zhang's hand again—ignoring the pain.

Joker's eyes widened. "Oh? Still resisting?"

Chun took a deep breath. "Zhang."

Zhang gritted his teeth. "Yeah?"

Chun smiled softly. "Do you trust me?"

Zhang met her gaze. He didn't hesitate. "Always."

The doubt shattered.

The mist began to fade.

Joker froze. "Wait. No. That's not how this works."

Chun tightened her grip on Zhang's hand. "You don't control us."

Zhang grinned. "You sure as hell don't control love."

Joker stepped back. "No. No, no, no, no—!"

Zhang rushed forward.

His fist connected with Joker's face.

The impact rattled through the air.

Joker's body cracked. His form began breaking apart.

His final words came in a whisper.

"Why… can't I have what you have…?"

Then—

He shattered.

Pieces of him floated into the air, vanishing into nothing.

The battlefield returned to normal.

Chun exhaled. "That was exhausting."

Zhang chuckled. "Yeah. But hey—" He squeezed her hand. "We won."

Chun smiled. "Of course we did."

They turned—smiling at each other.
