As Wade passes me in shock and confusion, I step closer to my long-time friend. *We told him. He knew he was not invincible to the Nightmares.* Now standing closer to Christopher, my eyes drift across the body, all the metal sprouting from his dark cold skin are. As I look closer, the metal coming from his bones and major arteries. When I look closer at the blood on the walls and floor, the bright red on the walls turns black as it gets closer to him. I take a few more steps closer and place my hand on the chains, cold and bitter, like a flower from my home world. It is a flower that can freeze anything and can only be grown in the coldest parts of Antarctica. As I dragged my hand closer to Christopher, the chains got slightly warmer and as I touched the metal piercing out of his chest, it was that of normal body heat. This could only mean one thing. As I looked around the corpse, I found a faint yellow light coming from his back. As I start to walk back, I hear something from right in front of me.
The flesh and bone shook and shifted, as it moved, black liquid came pouring out of its body. Soon after, it lifted its head and only said one thing to me "Hello darling, did you miss me?" As he said those words, he sounded more and more like screeching static.
I bolted out of the room and ran into Wade who was just marching into the room with a blank and pale expression. When I hit him, I grabbed him, threw him over my shoulder and ran. He questioned me on what was going on but I did not hear exactly what he was saying.
All I knew was that we needed to survive.
As fast as Wade spoke was just as swiftly as he fell silent and the sound of loud clanking, crumbling of concrete and strain of metal; the shreeks were paralyzing, but I had to keep moving. Wade went from trying to squirm out of my hands to holding on to dear life. As I turned my head to see the Nightmare, Christopher was facing forward. As it turned its head, it stopped when its head was a perfect ninety degrees; It strained to turn more until the bones and flesh couldn't hold it anymore. Christopher's pale skin, black hair; now with a white streak in it and all his hair flopped all over to his right. his blue eye looked to be gray now with light blue tints and his eyepatch was moved up to hold the hair in its position. As his head was spinning, the tearing of the flesh and cracking of his head was so much until its head disattached from the body and spun in the air until a tentacle grabbed and reattached it again. Its body was covered mostly in metal that moved and shrieked too much, the only thing I could see of his body was his black apron with the yellow print that all was there was 'De[][]a Ro[][]t[]s'. As I was turning back to continue I heard a sound that made me stop in my tracks, a very loud Crack, tear, pop…
As I turn back around, this time twisting my whole body, I see the Nightmare step on the first aid kit that somehow got on the floor as it advances towards us. As soon as its foot hits the ground I feel a sharp pain in my leg. As I look down, I see a long metal rod jabbed into my leg. *Did he throw that from over there?* You think while dropping to one knee on the floor, causing Wade to fall to the floor as well. Once he gets up, he grabs a metal pipe and gets in a combat stance; as if he's done this before. I drag myself to an almost sitting position and say, "You can't defeat him, not in the dark like this, You can't see him at all and I can't protect you. Run out of here as fast as you can while I try and lure it to another part of the workshop, we can do-"
"NO, I will not run away from the thing that destroyed my life, I also have a deal to keep hold of," he said walking into the dark.
